I was stranded on a Sunday because my car wouldn’t start and Richard came out to take a look. The good news was that in about 2 seconds, he was able to tell me what was wrong with my car. The bad news was that my car needed a new engine which was obviously something he couldn’t do. Richard is incredibly knowledgable and tells it like it is. As someone who doesn’t know a lot about car engines, I appreciated that.

What’s better than a great mechanic who comes to you with very reasonable prices? Nothing!
Richard is so dedicated he even called to see how the jeep was doing after the repair.

Mr. Richard helped me out so much. My starter went out on a Sunday evening, and he assured me that he and his helper would fix it. Even though the part wasn’t the right match, he called around town to find the correct one. Once he found it, he was back on the job, and had it fixed. I, definitely recommend Mr. Richard!

I meant to write this review months ago. Thanks to fellow Unilocaler extraordinaire, Ron U., I gave this guy a call. He came out in 10 minutes flat and assessed my situation. The dealer wanted $ 250 to fix an apparent oil leak. He thoroughly checked the car and said they were wrong. There is no oil leak. He didn’t charge me a dime, told me to keep an eye on it for a bit and call him if anything comes up and he’d be there in 5 minutes. That was 3 months ago and there has been not one drip of oil on the driveway and my oil level has been fine.
Bottom line, you will not find a more honest mechanic in Austin. Period.

To this day we rely on Richard to not only save us $$$ but to save us time too. I just have the 4Runner repaired with a replacement of the differential, brakes and replacement of the battery cable. All for less than $ 400 and FAR less than I could have gotten anywhere else. Right in the parking lot of my office.
