A.G.P. Rock-N-Dirt Yard

If I could give these folks 10 stars, I would! I’ve been a customer of theirs multiple times for all sorts of projects. The staff is always super friendly, very helpful, and even willing to help you pick out specific river Rock for your pet tortoise’s enclosure! If you are doing a bigger job, they offer delivery if needed, but with smaller jobs, you can always pull your car or truck up, and they will help you load up! Prices are so reasonable and the staff is really just exceptional! Today I stopped in for a few more small river rocks, as I am horrible with measurement apparently, and the Rock N Dirt Yard rocked my world and let me head out without any charges! I don’t know if they remembered me from previous trips, or if they really love the story of Tortellini the tortoise, but it meant a lot to us! Y’all are awesome and I will recommend your business to anyone I can!

My husband and I were wanting to add some gravel to our front yard, so I did some research and found this place. We ordered the gravel and got it delivered since we live in North Austin and don’t own a truck (I know! You can’t be a Texan and not have a truck, but it happens!). They took my information over the phone and scheduled the delivery. A few days before the delivery, my schedule went crazy and I ended up not being home for the whole day. I gave them a call to reschedule and they were booked out for at least a few weeks on delivery so I had to get it delivered the original day, but they were totally cool with just dropping it off.
When the day came, they called my husband and he told them where to deliver the item. They did and it looks fantastic already in my yard. We’ll definitely use them again when we do all our zero scape in the front!

We have used Rock N Dirt yard for our past two deliveries of rock and have been very impressed. They are very fast to get back to you and are always professional. They helped me with the measurements and what to exactly buy, since I didn’t know the conversions on material. I will for sure always check with them first in the future for any of my landscaping needs!

Ordered 3 cubic ft rainbow rocks; they delivered them promptly at the time frame which they were scheduled for. Friendly, informative, down-​to-​earth, and responsive! These guys are really great! I ordered garden bed soil from them and had it delivered early Saturday morning. It’s so nice not to have to make separate trips to pick up soil in a truck when you can have multiple yards delivered all at one for a really reasonable delivery fee. The soil is good quality, the prices are some of the cheapest around and they are reliable with delivering.

I found these guys on Unilocal when I was looking for some stone for my backyard. I didn’t quite understand how dirt and gravel could garnish 5 stars, it’s just dirt… and gravel.
These guys are the best! great prices, huge selection, friendly, knowledge service and modest delivery fees especially if you live in the ’04.
Beats going back and forth to Home Depot for many, many bags.
I will be back for some fire bricks.

My wife and I went in looking to get some paver stones and sand to do some walkways in our garden. We were greeted by one of the guys who walked us through our options, where they came from and some tips on laying them down. He was friendly, knowledgeable and super helpful. We had 2 tons of rock and sand dropped off 1 foot from our garage and with the rented wheelbarrow we were able to get everything into our backyard in just under an hour. Laying everything down is taking a bit longer but that’s the fun part. We’ll definitely be back for sod this winter/​spring and might even be back for some more pavers if our estimates were off! Go to A.G.P., you won’t be disappointed.

I was looking for decorative rocks for my flower beds and these guys delivered on all accounts.
Friendly staff and owners. They helped me choose the right rock and accurately estimate what I needed. Delivery was a bit of an extra charge since Round Rock is so far from the location, but the reasonable price for the product more than made up for this charge. Delivery was timely and the driver was very skilled at getting the truck up a sloped driveway and dumping the stone without exactly onto the tarp.

Amazing service, Marc and Ellie are top notch! We bought 7 tons of Oklahoma Blue Patio Stone, 5 Cubic Yards of sand, and 2 cubic yards of rainbow rock. All material was delivered the next day in the order of our preference and we can’t be happier with the product and service! I highly recommend A.G.P!

We stopped in to buy some rocks for our son’s 4^th birthday — he loves rocks and that’s what he wanted! We were also looking at options for a patio we are planning. They have a great selection, we were impressed and our son was over the moon. Impressed by the number and friendliness of the staff — we were offered help on many occasions as we walked around. We picked out a few smallish rocks for our son (who loved riding in the wagon they let us use) and not only would they not let us pay for them, they gave him an awesome, actual fossil for his birthday! We will definitely be going back to purchase the stone and rock for our patio as soon as we have the design finalized. Wonderful place, beyond exceptional people!

Chose these folks after reading reviews here, spoke to Ellie a couple times, went down there, ordered a bunch of soil, garden mix, St. Augustine.
The next day I called and totally changed the order, deleting a bunch of topsoil, etc. Glenn, who had taken my order, made the change over the phone with aplomb.
Then the next day we had several conversations about what the order was, and I began to wonder if I’d made a mistake, but an hour later all the dirt arrived. But then there was concern about the 1.5 pallets of grass, and I began to wonder some more. At the end of the day, Glenn called to make sure I got the message that the right amount of grass would be delivered on the right day.
And the next morning, uh, wait, there’s an 18-​wheeler out front with two pallets of grass! A. G. P.‘s supplier had gotten their signals mixed and delivered all the grass to me, instead of taking it to the A. G. P. yard. Called Glenn, and he said «just keep it, sorry for all the hassles and mixups.» And the rest of the dirt I had called back and ordered showed up a while later. Instead of keeping the extra half pallet of grass, I suggested the driver take it back, since I hadn’t paid for it.
Here’s the bottom line: for a couple of days I thought I’d grabbed the tar baby. But in the end, A. G. P. handled everything not only with professionalism but with superb customer service. I dealt with five different people, and all five were pleasant, courteous, hard working, and anxious to bend over backwards to make me, the customer, happy.
Here’s a tip: have your grass delivered on Wednesdays; it gets cut on Tuesdays, and you’ll have the freshest possible product.
I live in north Austin; I’m really, really glad I went all the way to A. G. P. (they acted like I live in Abilene… good-​naturedly) to get my lawn stuff. There’s nothing negative I can think of to say. Five stars for sure.

Thank you Unilocalers for sending me to AGP. We decided to make some changes to our front yard. We needed landscaping rock, dirt and a landscaper to install everything. We found all three at AGP.
The service was great. I selected the larger rock and they suggested smaller rock to complement that. Prices and delivery were reasonable and on time. We will definitely be back back for help with our next project.

I just finished xeriscaping my entire front yard. Having never done any major landscaping before, these guys were a huge help. Having people there that actually have experience in residential landscaping (like Glenn) was huge.
The backyard is next, and I won’t be going anywhere else for materials.

My wife and I were tackling another yard project and we decided to try this place. I ride by it all of the time on my bike, and it looked legit, so we gave it a shot. Wow. We both left there with a good feeling about our purchase and knowing that we would be back to finish up this project.
Mark and Marcus were both helpful on picking out the right stone and the right amount of material. We didn’t feel rushed, even though our order was small. I’m going back today to get some sod!

First things first. I am not a contractor or a landscaper. I just needed to get stuff for my yard. I am not a professional. I found these guys because I pass by their lot pretty infrequently.
My latest project was to put a path on my lawn. I needed crushed granite and talked with them about how much I needed. I was a little leery about being oversold, because really, the last thing I needed is extra granite just hanging around my yard. Sure enough, he mentioned how it compacts really tightly and I thought briefly about it-​but bought a little more just thinking better safe than sorry.
Not only was he right on the money, but it was exactly as much as I needed and it compacted way tighter than I expect-​just as predicted. Not only that, but the delivery was right at the beginning of the time frame estimated. And it had to be rescheduled for weather– so they were good enough to call a day in advance and let me know in case I’d be wasting a work day for nothing-it’s the little things.
I have more landscaping projects coming this spring, and I know where the rock portions are going to come from.

Not sure how much you can review dirt and rocks, but these guys are awesome.
I recently installed a new patio and wanted some rock landscaping to finish off the look. I started calling some places around town.
After sticker shock from some of the local establishments, pricing rocks like precious gems, I happened upon Rock-​N-​Dirt.
They were friendly, helpful, made great suggestions AND delivered my rocks the next morning… right on schedule. Even their delivery fees were significantly lower than those other places.
My yard looks great and I have Rock-​N-​Dirt to thank for some of that.
Rock-​N-​Dirt is definitely rocking Austin’s landscape needs.
