History

Established in 1999.

It all started back in 1999 with just one truck and a dream, the dream of serving Texans across the state. From the beginning, Owners Bryan Mercer and Ricky Morton have defined customer service with their business practices and striven to satisfy each and every customer. Since its debut, Whether it is commercial or residential, Absolute Propane has products to satisfy your needs.

I was born and raised in La Grange, TX, where my family still remains. I grew up ranching & playing baseball, but eventually moved to Austin for college. I was a Pitcher for Concordia University and graduated with a B.A. in Business Management. I now reside in Cedar Park with my wife, Jill, and our two kids Taylor and Bryce. I have 8 years of experience in the Propane industry and look forward to a long career with my Absolute Propane family. My hobbies include motorcycles & fishing, but most of my free time is spent with my wonderful family. My claim to fame is definitely my bar-​b-​que. Maybe one day I’ll get to share it with you, if you’re lucky.

Horrible customer ‘service’. I switched to Absolute Propane as they came highly recommended by my neighbor. In JANUARY (2016), they came out to fill the tank and filled our neighbor’s instead. The problem would be resolved and I would not be charged for the next fill. Which, of course, Absolute has not followed up on. The service people NEVER call to check on level of propane. I’ve called multiple times to have it checked. Response is: ‘well, are you out of propane?’ My response: well, is this not a part of your service?’ I know nothing about propane or how to check it. I was informed (In February) that the service would be done automatically if the customer had a credit card on file. I complied. I called again today — account still showing our last fill as January. SERIOUSLY? I’m angry, frustrated and completely disappointed.

I have NEVER encountered such outstanding customer service!!! I have been to numerous places of business and truly thought the idea of customer service was a thing of the past until I contacted Absolute Propane. The staff is extremely knowledgable, patient, understanding, and generous and they truly embrace the customer and their needs and my experience has made me realize at least one business cares about their customers and is passionate about what they do and who they do it for. I will NEVER go anywhere else and recommend everyone to visit Absolute Propane. I guarantee they will never be disappointed with their customer experience again. I only wish more businesses could embrace the same values and customer care that they have. Great job guys!

This review is for pickup: filling my own 20 lb tanks. Most people don’t realize this, but places like HD, etc. have this «exchange» program where some outside company puts anywhere from 12 to 15lbs in their 20lb tanks. For $ 19.97 plus tax. Don’t believe me? Read the reviews. Then go to Absolute and get the whole 20lbs for only $ 15.00 and save money PLUS save time. HD takes forever to get somebody out to the tank farm; Absolute will have you out in no time. Highly recommend…

Late, rude and unprofessional. Sub par leak testing and uninformative technicians. Testimonials posted on their website have been removed, I’m guessing it is because they weren’t very good. :(… Shame on you Absolute for taking advantage of good people in Austin and the surrounding areas. I’m switching to Sharp Propane.

Before calling our long-​time LP provider in Dripping Springs for a refill, I decided to call Sharp Propane for a price quote. (This was yesterday, 3÷17÷14) Sharp quoted $ 2.65 per gal. The long-​time provider quoted $ 2.99, so I told them about Sharp’s quote, and was told «we still charge $ 2.99.» I called Sharp back and was told they only did a long-​term «care» program where they automatically came by to check and fill tank; and did not do «telephone delivery.» I went online and found Absolute, which isn’t far from our place. Called and was quoted $ 2.60 per gallon. The driver arrived around noon, and since this was our first delivery, inspected all our LP appliances. Found one small LP leak at our water heater, in the garage, fixed it, and filled the tank. I commend Absolute for their prompt response, the attention to the safety of the appliances, and their obviously competitive price. What’s not to like?!

We stopped here to get our RV tank refilled. It’s close to La Hacienda RV resort, only about 8 minutes away 15 100 Debba Dr. CHEAPER than the propane at the RV resort. The man that helped my husband was a really nice guy. Excellent customer service.
The man didn’t know anything about the part of their Unilocal profile that says mention you saw them on Unilocal to get $ 1.99 price. It was still a reasonable price though. They just need to redo the Unilocal profile or make sure everyone working there knows about the deal. Not that big a deal. The customer service overshadowed that minor thing.

I own a food trailer (Goldis Sausage Company) and I have propane delivered weekly by Absolute Propane. They always come on time and they call to see if I’m going to need a new tank the day before deliveries, which has been very helpful at times. I would recommend them if you need refills often.

Absolute Propane came out twice to refill our underground propane tank in the span of 4 months. They did a «leak check» both times ($ 75 each), and we had to call them back the second time because there was a propane smell emanating from the tank. They came back out and replaced a leaky part that somehow wasn’t caught during either of the leak checks (this was also a paid service call). After going through 200 gallons in 3 months (we were out of town for about a month during this time), we called Direct Propane. Direct also did a leak check, which was far more thorough than what Absolute had done and found that the part that Absolute replaced hadn’t been fully tightened down, which likely caused the leak. I would ABSOLUTELY NOT recommend them for any propane needs.
