Access ATX

An entertaining tour with non-​stop fun facts! We took the city tour which included driving through the city in a very comfortable Mercedes van, which means it is more personable than a bus-​style tour. We had just moved to Austin and wanted to see our new city through the eyes of someone who’d been in Austin a while and knew all the little things only a local would know. This tour did not disappoint!
Our guide was super friendly and we were amazed how great she was at navigating the streets of Austin while pointing out the sites. There literally never was a moment where she wasn’t telling us something interesting. We were taken down multiple sections of 6^th street, 2^nd street, by the Graffiti art project, the famous Welcome to Austin sign, and many other places. During the tour we stopped for a delicious BBQ tasting at Terry Black’s BBQ, which was included in the price of the tour. We were provided a behind the scenes look at the pits where we were able to view the smoking process and ask the pit master questions. Our tour ended at El Sol Y La Luna where we were shown how to make a Mexican Martini, which we also got to drink (again included in the price of the tour). The bartender was great, showing us the bottles of liquor he was using and answering our questions. The Mexican Martini was excellent — Who would have thought dirty olive juice and tequila could be so tasty?

I took my dad and stepmom when they visited from out of town and not only was it super fun, we were very pleased with the knowledge of our host and all the points of interest. Already planning on doing the tour again when my friends visit this fall! Thank you for taking away the stress of touring Austin and allowing us to relax and enjoy.

I had a great experience taking a tour with Access ATX! The Complete Austin Experience tour was exactly what it claimed to be, complete. Not only did we visit and learn about historical sites such as the capital building and the Texas State Cemetery, but the tour was nicely balanced with stops at an amazing local BBQ spot, an outdoor art gallery nicknamed graffiti park, a Mexican martini demonstration on 6^th street, and much more. I’ve taken a lot of city tours but I don’t remember one as thorough as this one! Meagan did a really great job being both informative and entertaining. I had such a good experience that I took a second tour with Access ATX, the Charms of South Congress Ave and had another great time! I would easily recommend taking a tour with Access ATX to both locals and visitors alike!

I loved the Charms of South Congress Ave tour! I am a new resident to Austin, so I thought it would be fun to really get to know one of the coolest areas in my city on a different level. Boy, was I right! Meagan was so knowledgable, not to mention entertaining! We started the tour up and down S Congress, learning the history behind this eclectic area while enjoying all the sites, sounds, and shopping (!!). It was cool to get some «free-​time» at the end of the walking tour to do some exploring on our own. After Congress Ave we headed to an Austin staple (Threadgill’s) for a yummy home style dinner. We wrapped up just in time for our boat tour under the Congress bridge, where the famous Austin bats take flight every night at dusk.
What a neat experience, and loads of fun! I will definitely be taking all my friends and family when they come to visit! Look forward to checking other areas of town with Meagan and Access ATX, HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

The Complete Austin Experience tour was awesome! I currently live in Austin, but Meagan (guide and owner) promised I’d learn some things and she did not disappoint. There were so many facts and even hidden areas of Austin that I had never heard about! The tour group was fun, the Merc was clean and stylish, and the last stop, Mexican martini making, was the perfect end. The tour is a steal for how much ground we covered! Out-​of-​towners and locals should add it to their list of must-​dos in Austin.

Just went on the ultimate austin experience tour yesterday and it was so much fun!
Meagan, the tour guide is so knowledgeable and gave lots of interesting info about Austin throughout the trip. We had some of the most delicious BBQ at a food truck and ended the tour with a Mexican martini making demonstration at a local restaurant. Highly recommend!
