Aeroseal of Austin

We just had Aeroseal of Austin seal our airducts and I cannot speak more highly of the experience and customer service. After the service was complete we had great cooling, no leakage and already low humidity.
More details below:
I looked into the service because we were experiencing high humidity, rooms cooler then others, air coming out around can lighting, and high electric bills. I saw the process in an episode of «This old House» and I looked to see if there was a company in Austin who performed the service. We own a home built in the 60s with all the original ductwork. The ductwork is located in the attic which has only about 2.5 feet of space at the apex. I had other AC companies who would traditionaly reseal the ducts from the outside say it would involve opening the roof to access the space which would cost $$
Ian and Sean arrived exactly on time for our inspection and estimate. Ian and Sean did a extensive visual inspection and determined multiple leak locations. I then opted for the equipment test. Ian was not pushy and did not force me to do the equipment test, but I am a numbers guy and wanted to see what the total CFM (cubic foot per min) of leakedge there was. Our leakedge was 800 CFM! Wow!
Sean and Jeff arrived to do the work at 0700 sharp. They were efficient, professional and extremely knowledgeable. Sean crawled into places I thought impossible to fix the leaks. Sean even found a animal carcass and got rid of it for us. They were finished by 4pm and we did a test. The leakedge went from 800 CFM down to 129 CFM, fantastic! Sean was obsessive and would not quit until he had the lowest numbers. We are getting AC in all the rooms in the house and can’t wait to see our bills go down.
I can not speak more highly of Aeroseal of Austin and would recommend there service to everyone.

This was the best product/​customer service experience ever!
First, the product: after having a technician with a different company spend an entire day trying to seal my leaky ductwork the traditional way and fail, I decided to give this new Aeroseal process a try. It worked wonders and kept me from having to tear out sheetrock to access ducts run between my first and second floor (not to mention leaks everywhere else!) A++
Second the company: Ian and Sean are the dream team you hope show up to do work on your home. Friendly? check. Knowledgeable? check. Professional? check. Anal-​retentive attention to detail? Double check.
My only complaint about them is now I’m going to be sorely disappointed with every other contractor that comes to my house. They will pale in comparison to Ian and Sean.

Sean and Ian at Aeroseal of Austin are about the friendliest, most professional people I could imagine working with; I felt completely comfortable with them in my home, and felt absolutely confident about their work and their knowledge. I knew I had been having some problems with my A/​C efficiency and air quality, and they shored up my duct work and provided me with quantifiable results of the improved efficiency. I’m also breathing much easier and not waking up congested in the middle of the night. I would wholeheartedly recommend Aeroseal of Austin for your A/​C and ductwork needs.

After 3 years of dealing with vastly different temperatures on the top and bottom floors of my house, I started looking into ways to fix it. The best bet seemed to be Aeroseal, so I entered my info on their website and got a call back from Ian the same day. He and Sean came out a week or so later to do some tests and it turned out I had approximately 40% of my air from my AC leaking… so I signed up for them to come out the next week and do the Aeroseal process. 6 months later things are working wonderfully — the downstairs and upstairs are maintaining the correct temperatures. A month or so after the sealing, there was a small issue with the air return plenum and Sean came out the same day I called to fix it and even followed up a couple of weeks later to make sure everything was working okay. Best energy investment I’ve made for my house. Thanks guys!

I was expecting a hard sale, but instead got an honest and thorough education on how my ductwork affected the performance of my air system. This father and son team understands the science behind it all, and were genuinely interested in helping me find the best solution. It didn’t happen to be Aeroseal in my particular case, due to design issues not directly related to ductwork. I appreciate their integrity, and recommend them.
