My husband and I happened to be in the area running an errand when we stumbled upon this African/Caribbean market, so we decided to check it out. My husband loves to cook so he was curious to see what he could find. They had a variety of things throughout the store from breads, flours, drinks, spices, palm oil and different mixes for anything African or Caribbean. My husband did find a small bottle of sauce for his next dish. The store could have been kept nicer I felt like and the employee working could have been friendlier as well. Overall if you are looking for any special ingredients for your African or Caribbean dishes then this is the place to come. It is always nice to have this type specialty store around.

So. cooking and I love small ethnic markets. I saw this place while out running some errands knew right away I had to check it out. I make an excellent Jerk Chicken and I am always on the look out for Caribbean spices. The sign on the door said they open at 10:00:AM, I tried to go in the store at 10:15 but they weren’t open. No big deal though, I decided to finish running my errand and come back. I came back around 10:45 and they were indeed open! The space is small and there are only about 4 isles, there is a whole lot of Goya products here that you can get at HEB and in fact there were only a few items I didn’t feel like I couldn’t just pick up at Fiesta. I would say their biggest boon is the palm oil selection. They have just about every type of Palm oil you can imagine. I give them mad props for that. I found a scotch bonnet sauce I wanted to buy it was only 3 bucks and when I got to the counter the guy wouldn’t take my debit card unless I spent 10 bucks. Luckily enough I had cash and paid and left. I didn’t have an amazing experience here and I feel like the selection here could be a bit better. If you need any specialty palm oil however this is your stop!
