I am a real estate professional and use Mason of All Around Home Services for many of my clients needs as well as my own personal home and hands down he is one of THE BEST in the industry here in Austin. I called around ten plumbers on the Friday before Christmas. Mason was the only one that picked up the phone. He explained how he was too busy to make it out in the next few days but wouldn’t mind walking me through some of the possible scenarios on my hot water issue. I sent him some pictures of the situation and he made three recommendations on how to proceed, all over the phone. With Mason’s help and some short YouTube videos, I fixed the issue myself! I’m floored that Mason was nice enough to do this all over the phone, at no charge. He definitely earned my trust. Keep it up!

No hot water, water heater ignitor not working. Mason Ahrens came by, gave us the worst case scenario and the best. Lucky for us, we may have a few more miles on our water heater with his help! Mason is friendly and he does a quick and thorough job. Left to pick up parts, installed them and we had hot water that afternoon. He’s a lifesaver!

Mason has replaced many items in my last two homes. In the first home, he changed out our 75 Gallon propane water heater with an Eternal Tankless water heater. He gave us push button controls so when we were ready for a shower all we had to do was push a button and the shower was hot with seconds, not minutes! He also changed out our PRV valve, which was no longer working.
In my second home I had another water heater issue, however it just needed a quick repair and not a full replacement. I think if I had called any other Plumber, I would have paid a lot more $ and they would have upsold me to new water heater which just wasn’t necessary.

Our hot water heater went out unexpectedly and I was cluelss who to contact. I was referred to Mason. I contacted him early in the morning and gave him a brief description of what was going on. Replaced a disposer with a new unit, provided at list price. Found another problem in the drain pipes, explained it carefully, and fixed for a nominal additional charge.

I met Mason. thru an emergency. I found water in the garage coming from the water heater closet. On a Friday afternoon. I called a friend & was referred to Mason, The owner of All Around Home Services. Mason explained in detail about water heaters, the price point of each wanted to know how much I wanted to spend. He couldn’t come over that day due to his scheduling, & kept apologizing that he couldn’t fit me in. He told me how to turn off the water & I made an appointment for that Monday. He arrived on time, did outstanding work, was fast, professional, fair in his pricing, cleaned up & hauled off my old heater. Mason didn’t mind me observing him working asking questions which he answered in detail.
I did some research over the weekend & found that getting an extended warranty & a overflow box was a good investment. So, that’s what I purchased. Mason also installed a longer overflow PVC pipe so if the heater ever leaked that the water would run into the yard & not hit the siding. I am very pleased with Mason work. I found him honest, detailed oriented, professional & has a friendly open personality.
I called Mason last year when during the drought the water line in the front lawn began leaking due to the shifting soil. & a prior bad repair by another plumber the year before. Mason came right out, gave me a fair price & replaced the whole line with a lifetime warranty on the line that’s transferable to a new owner, if I ever decide to sell my home.
