Jason is a South Austin local handyman that has a great reputation and does high quality work. He’s worked on my floors, kitchen and bathroom. He does back breaking labor that takes a lot of skill and physical work, and he keeps up the quality day after day. If you can get him, do it, he’s very busy because of his reputation. If you have a bad attitude, find someone else, life is to short and he is to good for mean people.

Your response confirms the correctness of my criticism, although I’m sure that wasn’t your intention. First, I posted my comment to Unilocal in May. You waited seven months to bother responding. Your speed on Unilocal is consistent with your responsiveness to customer inquiries. Second, your statement «I never agreed to do work for this person» is exactly my point: You thwarted my attempt to hire you by failing to get back to me, as you promised to do. Finally, as for being a «pushy real estate type,» my inquiry was for repairs to the home I own and occupy as my residence. You would have learned that had you called me back.

After finding Jason’s great reviews, I gave him a call. I told him that I needed to have a leaky outdoor faucet fixed in the backyard of my rental home. He said that he was booked for a week but could do the job the following week. He also said that he didn’t have his scheduling book on him. I asked him if he wanted me to email him so he could respond with a date. I proceeded to email him right after our conversation. I gave him the property address, outlined the issue, told him where the faucet was and it was easy access since he didn’t need to go into the house and explained that we have a tenant there who works regular business hours so he just needs to let me know which day to go over to the house. I told him to email the invoice when he was done and I’d either pay with a credit card over the phone or I’d mail a check if that was his preference. The following week arrived and I didn’t hear from him so I called and left a voice mail message. I then forwarded my initial email and asked if he could let me know when he’d be able to do the repair. Still no response after a phone call and email (now 2 phone calls and two emails). I called him the next day. He answers the phone. He says that he’s been busy. He said that maybe I should get a plumber to go out there because if he can’t fix it then we would need a plumber anyway and he can give me a referral (why didn’t he tell me this a week ago?). I tell him that my husband does not think the job requires a plumber. I explain to him that one week has already passed and I thought that he was going to be able to do the job, based on our last conversation and now I’ve lost a week’s time if I have to start all over. His response is that he doesn’t know his schedule. He can call me in the afternoon. I told him to forget about it. My point is that if he didn’t think he could do the job or he’s too busy or the project is not big enough, he shouldn’t have told me one week ago that he would do the repair and put me on his schedule for the following week. It’s bad customer service — or I should say lack there-​of. In addition, my husband and I own 4 houses and I’m a real estate broker so I would say that there’s a missed opportunity for his business.

Jason is great. He’s helped on several projects and his work is always first class. We will definitely be calling him again.

Jason is impressive and such a delight to work with. I would recommend him to anyone.
He tackled a few smaller «we just moved» handyman needs like hanging a coat rack, curtains, a large format photograph. He did each job with such precision and care. I was blown away!
Then Jason came back for his magnum opus: he hung 30 frames in a grid on our wall. Unbeknownst to us, the matching frames from Crate & Barrel did not have the hanging tabs attached with uniform measurements. Jason had to measure each and every frame before moving on to the next. He tackled our challenge with enthusiasm and his expertise, and the wall looks fantastic.
Jason is also very reasonably priced. Christmas came early, and I am so appreciative to Apex Property Services. They were the best present.

Jason is amazing. I had a list of things that needed to be done around the house and was looking for a handyman to come tackle them all at once. Calls to two others resulted in judginess and failure to follow through.
But not Jason. Jason showed up when he said he would, did amazing work at a very fair price, was as nice as he could be and in the end, made our house look incredible. I’ve already recommended him to others and will definitely be calling him in the future when I need a helpful, talented hand.

I found him through Unilocal about 1 year ago when we needed some fix it help around the house at a rental we are in– our landlord lives out of town and could care less about getting things in the house taken care of for us. Since the first phone call Jason has been dependable, friendly, professional and is one of the hardest workers I have seen to date.
We have had multiple experiences at our rental property with Jason and I was ecstatic to know that when we purchased our first home Id have a standup go to guy that we could trust with repairs. He answers every text and phone call we have ever made. He is quick to fit in your repairs but does not half ass the job. He is honest, there have been a few quick fixes here and there that I had no clue how to do myself– while on the job if Jason saw something that he had confidence we could do easily he took the time to tell me what parts/​supplies I needed and how to do it (that way we could best use his time and our budget to get the major repairs in).

Jason installed a vent for my over-​the-​range microwave and did a couple other small projects for me. He was punctual, reliable, and the quality of his work was excellent.

Jason was great throughout the entire process.
I was wary about who to go with for my crown moulding installation and perused a LOT Of the Unilocal reviews and called Jason out for an estimate. He was prompt and professional in coming out for the estimate and was able to provide me with a cost proposal (including materials) within 48 hours and was able to start the project promptly.
Jason did fantastic work on all of the rooms/​types of crown moulding I selected. The seams/​corners all look fantastic. I will definitely rec. Jason to others considering crown moulding/​handyman jobs on their places. He did fantastic work and has a great personality and is great to work with.

Thank you Jason! We were without hot water in the kitchen for months trying everything that we could think of. Jason came out and fixed it right away! We also had him install a fan in our living room with very high ceilings. He brought his own ladder which was a plus! Very quick to come out, polite and professional. Quality work done quickly.

Polite, professional and clean. Jason is fantastic; on Day 1 he shows up on time, with all his tools, ready to get started. He gave me great advice, made small purchases at the hardware store when necessary, and paid attention to details that only a homeowner would appreciate. I can’t tell you how many handy-​men I have been through in the last year. Jason is a step above the rest while still maintaining reasonable prices.

repair plumbing
repair and re-​seat leaking toilet
wire garbage disposal
install new ceiling fan and light kit
… I’ll be asking him to remodel my bathroom once I have a few more bucks saved up. :-)

I had a great experience with Apex. The gate to my backyard was broken and the day I called, Memorial Day actually, Jason came by to take a look. He gave me a very fair price and came back to fix it within 2 days. He did a great job and now my gate actually works.

Jason has completed several jobs for us, and they have always gone smoothly, been on budget, and the work has been of the highest quality.
The first thing Jason did was remove an ugly ornamental wall dividing our kitchen into two useless tiny rooms. He was in and out, and before I knew it, I had an awesome gigantic kitchen at very little cost.
Jason came back to renovate our bathroom. I had FOOLISHLY tried to redecorate the bathroom, and my ineptitude left the bathroom in very poor shape. Jason and team helped me redesign the bathroom and turn it into one of my favorite rooms in the house. Ugh, I love my bathroom so much it is gross. This job went smoothly even though I was living in California at the time, and communicating with Jason via email.
There are at least five other times that Jason has helped us out with projects. He is always very helpful, knowledgable, and will not jerk you around, not even in the slightest. The work he does lasts — we have had no problems with the carpentry, plumbing, or any other aspect of his work — going on 6 years now for the bathroom!
Look, this is your guy. I can’t say enough good things. Just hire him.

This company actually cares about the quality of their work. You will not find a handyman who is more knowledgeable about all things home repair than Jason. I have used him on both home and business related jobs. As a master carpenter with a degree in construction technology Jason is not just some guy with tools who will do a patch job. Jason will do it right and if he can’t do it right he will tell you who can. I have used him for many things including replacing rusty plumbing pipes in my ceiling, tiling my bathroom, replacing my toilet, changing out multiple light fixtures, adding multiple lights, hanging ceiling fans, adding plugs, adding outlets, adding a 220 volt plug, adding doorknobs and locks. door hanging, window replacement, drywall patching and texture, screening in an 800 square foot porch, adding washer and dryer connections, building tables for my café, building benches for my café. adding wainscoting and chair rail, and more. Highly recommended.
