Silver Thread Woodworks specializes in custom carpentry, rustic furniture, remodeling homes, and home repair. Our services include framing and finish carpentry, installing cabinets, doors, windows, flooring (wood and tile), trim, siding, drywall, decks, and fences.

History

Established in 2011.

The owner, Morgan Monshaugen has been in the construction trades for over 17 years. Morgan started working in construction in Galveston, Tx. He worked as a framing and finish carpenter in California (Beverly Hills, Malibu, Brentwood) for a custom home builder for six years. Morgan went on to own his own business for four years and then moved to southwest Colorado to live out a life long dream of living in the mountains building log furniture and rustic homes. After four winters, his wife, Mary convinced him to move back to Texas where it is much warmer. Morgan started working as a carpenter in Texas and saw the need to have a licensed and insured business name. He started ATX Construction and remodeled homes in the Austin area for about two years.
