The AudioMonk specializes in service and repair of musical instrument amplifiers, both tube and solid state and pro-​audio gear from microphones to pre-​amps. AudioMonk also builds, repairs and modifies guitar effects. Oh, and need a guitar or bass pickup repaired or rewound? We do that too!

History

Established in 2003.

AudioMonk began it’s life in Stony Brook, NY. At that time we were building and repairing guitar effects, amps, basses and guitars under the name Pelosi Guitars. With a move to Brooklyn, NY in 2005 the business expanded and began servicing the gear of both touring musicians and weekend warriors alike. Staying on top of the latest movement of musicians and live music, AudioMonk moved to Austin, TX in 2009. AudioMonk now repairs for the largest back-​line rental houses in Austin and services the gear of dozens of Austins most talented musicians each week.

Business Owner

My love of music drives me in my business endeavors. It’s always been about the music, and gear second. I started as a player from the age of 8. First with piano and then trumpet and guitar. Through the years I developed a strong understanding of things both mechanical and electronic. I’ve also built over 50 hand-​made instruments. I often ask people who are never satisfied with their gear, «Do you like to play music? Or just collect gear?» There’s a difference between obsession and love.
