Take your car here, please. Everyone we spoke to was over and beyond helpful, professional, and friendly. They were ready to explain our repair options in detail as many times as we needed. They also went out of their way to try and save us money, which I have rarely ever seen. They were also very fast! Did I mention they saved us money? Well, they did. Thank you Austex for being so great!

I’m only writing about the storage-​lot aspect of this business. I was rear-​ended Friday morning and my pickup was towed to AusTex for storage. Today my insurance company asked me to get my stuff out of the truck and tell AusTex that they’d be picking it up.
The woman behind the window was very polite and took care of everything promptly, and a man escorted me to my truck while I emptied out the cab. I’d read horror stories on the Web about storage lots, but this was completely painless. The guy even told me «Sorry about the accident».

After a collision, I went to AusTex on the recommendation of Geico, and the whole process could not have been easier. Initially, I wanted to take it to the dealer shop, but since AusTex is partnered up with both Geico and Enterprise, I decided to take advantage of the convenience.
First, the lady at the front counter gave me a short form to fill out and answered all my not-​so-​bright questions about how the claim/​repair thing would work — I have to admit I knew nothing about the process. I waited all of five minutes (mostly because I was early, and they were finishing up with another customer) in the comfortable waiting room — couches, Keurig, and flat screen TV. Then I was greeted by Chris (the Geico adjuster) and Blake (the AusTex rep). They asked me about the damage and took a look at my car with me. Blake went over absolutely everything, from the collision damage to impossibly small chips in the paint from gravel roads, and then he explained to me what they’d be checking and fixing.
I was then introduced to Gerard (I just know I’m spelling that wrong…), the Enterprise rep who — as promised — had my rental car waiting. After a quick confirmation of info and a small hold on my debit card ($ 50, which is $ 200 less than if I’d rented a car without Geico’s rental coverage), I was ready to drive off to work in a rental car that was much nicer than the car I’d dropped off. The whole thing took about 30 minutes, and they sent me an estimate that afternoon. A few days later later, my car was done.
I was initially a little leery of working with a shop recommended by the insurance company. Would they cut corners, use cheap parts, or maybe insist some damage wasn’t caused by the collision and therefore not covered — all to save the insurance company some money? Turns out I had nothing to worry about. Not only did they do top quality work (and fast!), but their repairs are guaranteed. They matched the paint perfectly and even washed and vacuumed my car.
I’ll definitely be recommending AusTex to everyone I know. They’re fast, friendly, and incredibly helpful, and they do great work. If you’re a Geico customer, they make the claim & repair process ridiculously easy, and the in-​house Enterprise office makes renting a car a breeze with rental coverage — which is so crazy cheap that everyone should have it on their policy, btw.

I was rear ended at a stop light last Thursday night. Filed the claim and took my car to AusTex the next day at 1:30 They are about 20 miles north of me, but they were the only place who could take my car before Monday. They looked at my car and said that they should have it done by the middle of the following week. I opted for text message updates. Well on Monday afternoon I received one saying that my car would be ready tomorrow (Tuesday) around 4:09 PM WOW! I ended up picking up my car around 4:30 and it was good to go. The whole process was so quick and painless and everyone that works there is so friendly. I would definitely recommend taking your car to AusTex.

I was recently hit while parked and the other car fled the scene and did not leave information. I am a Geico client and my claim and repairs were completed in the easiest and quickest fashion. Micky from AusTex was very honest and helpful and communicated consistently. Geico covered a rental. I took my car in on a Monday and everything was taken care of by that following Wednesday. I was very impressed by how easy and friendly all parties were (AusTex, Geico, Enterprise). And they washed my car and vacuumed the carpets. Thanks AusTex!

Great shop. I worked with Rick. They took great care of my car which needed some body work. Rick called with updates about every other day. He gave a heads up at the start that more damage might be found once they got into it which would make the repairs take a little longer. They are a geico preferred shop which isn’t a bad thing. Over all it’s a very well run shop and I wouldn’t hesitate to go back for anything.

This place was awful. Micky, an employee was rude an unprofessional as they come. They had my car for 13 days, talked to me 4 times and still didn’t fix important parts then claimed it wasn’t part of the wreck. We’ll no power steering is hard to drive with before a wreck wow… just wow… this is how innocent people get scammed everyday and we have to deal with it because we are poor. Well hopefully this review helps a few make the decision not to go to this place.

They were great. The older man was so sweet as they really did take care of me. I would definitely recommend them. Very professional and caring.

Great service! Washed my vehicle more than they needed to and I felt that if I ever had a problem with the work performed they would be more than happy to make it right.

The staff was incredibly helpful from the beginning. They work closely with Geico, so there was no feelings of deception the whole time. Paul was very informative and phoned me frequently to keep me up to date with what repairs were happening on my vehicle. In the end, he was able to save me money on my deductible! I would high recommend their work and service to any friends or family.

This is a long overdue review. I bumped the back of a person’s car in the Spring of 2014, causing the whole passenger side headlight area of my car to be crumbled up. I had Geico insurance, and they had AusTex being a recommended place to get my car fixed. They already have a Geico estimator there who gave me a quote of how much it could be if nothing else was found beyond what he could see. He estimated it would take over two weeks to get my car fixed, and although I only needed to pay my deductible, I had no rental car coverage so that would be out of pocket. That stressed me out and after thinking about taking my car to other places, I decided to stick with AusTex and I’m glad I did. I dropped my car off on a monday morning and picked it up Friday afternoon. I only had to pay for a 5 day car rental, and they did a great job. It looked like I never had a wreck. I was concerned about whether they would match the paint correctly since it is a metallic blue but it matched perfectly and it’s been almost a year now and it still looks good. My only complaint is when I dropped off my car, I used bungee cords to hold up the part that was dragging on the ground so I could drive it. They never gave me back my bungee cords and when I called about it, the guy on the phone in charge of my car acted like he knew nothing about them. I left stuff in my car prior to dropping it off, and everything was in my car when I picked it up, so I don’t think they intentionally meant to keep them but just fyi. Also, I just recently replaced the headlight bulb on the side they fixed. This surprised me since it should be brand new but it wasn’t a big deal. Overall, I’m very pleased with them!

Aus-​tec did such a good job on my car. Paul is wonderful and kept in constant communication with me every step of the way. Very professional. I would recommended this company to anyone wanting high quality framework and courteous professionalism. Thanks Paul!

Went to these guys through GEICO for minor damages sustained to the right rear area of my car when someone merged into my lane. Dean worked with me on the repairs. Overall I felt the quality of their work was high and the turn around time was good. I was a little disappointed when the on site adjuster said the car would be ready later that day but Dean said the car would be done two days time max. As a GEICO customer the rental pickup and drop off was seamless.
After the work was done I took the car to the dealer to have my breaks checked and the service adviser commented on the high quality of the work. They also clean the car and the tires and wheels so it looked very nice. I think they also washed under the hood, which I would have preferred them not to, but it’s okay considering everything else they did was very good.
I would recommend this business, especially if you are a GEICO customer.

I brought my vehicle here last June for work. My vehicle was with them for almost two weeks. When I picked up my vehicle, it was missing cosmetic parts (mirror cover, one wheel cover) and somehow, they had managed to do something to the electrical system. Add to that, my mirror no longer worked and my automatic windows kept acting up. The pillars on the three doors they had worked on were completely scratched up. After returning twice, the mirror was finally fixed and the cosmetic parts returned and placed appropriately. Within 3 weeks, the paint on the car was chipping and peeling. I am never taking a vehicle there again.

I must commend Austex and Paul for the great work they did for my car. It was a simple «bumper bender» where a neighbor backed into my car parked in the street. I live close to Austex, and had no problem with letting them fix it. Kudos to Paul for his great customer service. When I picked it up, not only did they clean the car, they detailed if for me as well! Bumper looks like new now.

Paul was the service advisor that helped me when I dropped my truck off and throughout but everyone I encountered was professional and quick to write my vehicle up, go over needed repairs and get me on my way. It is always obvious when you are dealing with a well run shop– how clean everything is (or isn’t) and the attitude of staff. I used to run a repair shop and that doesn’t come easy. My repair was a bumper on a 13 yr old truck which in the ticket average scheme of things means
little to their day but I was treated like it as important as anything they were doing. I left very impressed.

I have had to take 3 different cars in for body work and each time I have had a wonderful experience with my Geico representative as well as the Austex employee. This last time Paul assisted me and he was WONDERFUL! They completed the work in a super timely manner. Originally it was estimated to take 6 days and they were able to do it in 4, getting me my car back before the weekend. I am a loyal Austex customer from this day forward.
If you need work done, I highly recommend them.

Excellent service and super fast! I was impressed with how quickly they fixed my car and I don’t know if it’s standard or not but they even cleaned my floor mats. They also sent someone out to pick me up so I could come get my car since my insurance didn’t cover it.

I’m confused by the negative reviews here. My car was attacked by the pillar in my parking garage, so I had to sheepishly call Geico to tell them about what I had… I mean, about the attack.
I have never had an easier major car repair experience. I made an appointment with them. The woman at the desk was super friendly and helpful both times that I interacted with her and the guy in charge of repairs was great too. They led me to my rental car with only 13 miles on it, and within 15 minutes, I was on my way!
The repair took from Thursday-​Wednesday, but they were realistic with me in letting me know that they wouldn’t really begin working on it until Monday (to get the parts in and being closed on the weekend). They called on Monday to update me and predicted to be finished on Wednesday (which they were).
Car looks great and having the rental service there was a major, major plus.

Unfortunately, when I first moved here to Austin, I was involved in a car accident that nearly totaled my car. Thankfully, Aus-​Tex was able to repair my car in a timely fashion, only taking about four days to replace my windshield, front right tire, replace the airbags, realign the wheels, etc. It was actually expected to take twice as long so I am very pleased! So far, there have not been any problems with my car after the repairs and I’m hoping it stays that way.
The only complaint I can think of is that they forgot to reattatch the shade on my the passenger’s side.
