Buyer’s beware– probably don’t get your gifts here. Be sure (!), what to buy. In case of the uncommon case it’s not the right one: no refund, trade-​in, not even an in-​store credit, no exceptions whats-​o-​ever.
Buy local? I am a fan and I support it, but I won’t go back there.

This place is huge and totally awesomely full of good stuff, BUT it doesn’t have a good selection of mid century modern stuff. Which is what I like. Still, if you are into antiques/​vintage, I think this is your best bet in Austin.

Great! Large mall with multi dealers. Nice mix. All quality. Had mid century to true antiques. Several vintage clothing booths, prop type stuff, jewelry galore, furniture, etc. Nice atmosphere and super helpful staff. Fair prices and lots of sales. Not a flea market type mall in any sense so not for scroungers and bargain hunters but fantastic for collectors looking for cool stuff at reasonable prices.

Austin Antique Mall. It’s like Uncommon Objects quadrupled in size and went 50% down in price. I had no idea what I was in for upon entering this giant treasure hunt.
What I found was aisles and rows and nooks and crannies stuffed with vintage dresses and native american pottery and light up marquees and boots and hand woven blankets and asian art and jewelry and fur coats and tin signs and buttons and baubles and glassware and furniture of all shapes and sizes and colors. You could spend hours and hours of time in here if that’s your thing. Conversely, if you hate clutter and old stuff, this is definitely not the spot for you.
Their hours are funky so make sure you check them out before making the trek. They close at 6p on weekdays. This is probably not the best place to bring young kids either as everything is in arms reach and I can totally see a disaster happening.

This place is a hidden gem. I’m so glad I found it. There are tons of booths with an array of different items. I bought a mirror there today for such a good price. It would’ve been several hundred dollars at a retail store. They even put it in your car for you :-)

LOVE IT! I took my mother in law, who was visiting from Arkansas, to collect a few Texas related antiques to take back to her family. We were there for THREE HOURS! We had a blast walking through all of the «vendor» booths. Austin Antique Mall has some wonderful finds! My only complaint would lay with some of the pricing. Some is very over priced while some is somewhat under priced (not that this is a bad thing). The weekend we went, there were several sales going on so we scored some great deals! And they take credit cards which is great for those of you like me who don’t carry much cash on hand.
Will definitely be back!

This place is great when you’re looking for something or a few things and want some character in them. The mall is set up like a bazaar with individual booths set up side by side from different sellers. Each booth has a bit of a different theme a lot of the time so you can see a booth and have an idea on whether it’ll have something you’re looking for.
Clothing, pins, dishes, typewriters, rotary phones, old hats, nice jackets, furniture, fun boxes, books, jewelry, etc. Good prices too. I often find booths with signs saying «everything 30% off!» so you can come in here and get a good deal on something unique or something you’ve been looking for forever.
Every time we go, we spend a lot of time digging through each stall. There’s just so much to look at. Definitely come here early and spend a bit of time looking around. They close at 6 so don’t wait!

This store was a happy surprise, one of the best I’ve been in for a long time. Prices a pretty standard, but they have an excellent selection. Lots of cool items, we spent almost two hours and had to leave only because they were closing. Will definitely be by next time we’re in Austin.

Hands down the best antique store in austin. It’s well lit, has good music playing, air conditioned, and everyone working there is very friendly.
This place is enormous and usually takes me an hour and a half to walk through and see everything.

Headed home to Houston and decided to make a stop by this place first. Only problem was it was 6:30 and it closes at 7:00. Ran in to find all sorts of cool things. There is so much to look at you need at least 2 hours. We made a purchase but realized we could not fit it into our car. It was something we were not willing to part with so they took our name and are holding it for us. My husband and I are totally stoked to have found this cool spot and our awesome buy! Its a little pricey but everything is these days. We are kinda like a bird with a french fry right now :)

My kids have inherited the thrifting/​antiquing that I enjoy and we love visiting here. The staff who are there are nice and it’s always enjoyable to talk to people when they are updating their booths. The prices are much more reasonable than some of the other places in town.

This place has a lot of selection; furniture, art, clothes, shoes, magazines, books, dishes… It’s not as glitzy as Uncommon Objects, for example, but a lot more like an adventure because you get to browse through a lot of neat stuff. I’ll definitely be back.

I’ve been here about 8 times, and I am always excited to go. I’ve bought a bar cart, nesting tables, and a few other odds and ends here. I’ve had great service and am very happy with my purchases.
My pros have been the service and selection, and although I wouldn’t say the prices are necessarily bargains, I think they are competitive with some of the other antique stores in the area (I saw my purchases much higher at other places). Some items/​vendors cater to more of the collector, however there are booths with items that appeal more to my budget. Some vendors have definitely taken the time to display their items, while others you can barely walk in the booth.
I think the good definitely outweighs the «bad,» and you can’t beat the selection!

Um, whoever wrote that the people here are friendly must have their own issues because the staff was INCREDIBLY helpful and nice. Asked us about twenty times as we perused the store if we needed anything and carried all of our purchases to the front. Yes, some things are pricey, but if you look around, you will definitely find some steals. They are also willing to negotiate on prices. I will definitely be coming back and I totally recommend this place for anyone looking for that special something for their home.

I found my desk here as well as some super cool depression era glassware. Always friendly staff and air conditioning works well.

These are pros and they know what they have and you pay accordingly…
This is a nice place with a lot of good antiques and collectibles. A lot of the items are behind glass which just adds to the idea that you won’t be finding any real steals here. However, you can always find a few booths running sales that offer upwards of 50% off. Keep your eyes peeled for these great bargain booths. Also, as I often do, do not be afraid to dicker with the dealers. More often than not, they’ll come down on their price. It helps if you know what you’re looking at so go in informed.
We met a lot of really helpful and informative dealers in here and they were always eager to direct us to other areas other than their own. Like I said, the biggest downfall with these real pro operations is not finding that hidden treasure that someone overlooked when pricing the item.
Oh, when you pull into the roller skating rink’s lot, the antique store is at the very end of that building. Don’t park too far away not knowing, and end up using your legs like a sucker!

A previous reviewer said that «some people sell their stuff way too cheap and some people have their stuff marked up sky high». I went here this afternoon and couldn’t find any of the «way too cheap» stuff, or even that much «reasonably priced» stuff. I feel like a lot of the sellers here fall into the trap that just because something is old, it’s valuable. For me, what gives old things value is if they’re (1) built really well compared to a new one, or (2) cool-​looking or special in some way. In that regard, I was disappointed with the selection here.
A beat-​up toolbox missing the shelf inside tagged as a «green metal container» for $ 26. How do I know it’s missing the shelf? I have the same one under the seat of my Jeep with tools in case of an emergency. I got it for $ 10 from a junk shop in Florida.
An old Craftsman drill for $ 37.50. I’ve seen the same ones not sell at garage sales for $ 10 because they have no variable speed, just on/​off.
A BIaletti moka pot for $ 20. The same one new goes for $ 24.99 shipped on Amazon.
And don’t get me started on the radios and electronic stuff. By now, I expect to see ‘50s All-​American Five radios going for up to $ 50 in good working condition, depending on how cool they look. What surprised me here was seeing how high the solid-​state radios were priced. Boomboxes from the ‘80s were priced at around $ 40, and run-​of-​the-​mill AM/​FM table radios were going for about the same.

I could spend an entire Saturday here and be in heaven. I have noticed recently some new booths that carry some of the more recent antique/​vintage trends and it’s made the place even cooler.
I can’t tell you how many items I have bought from here, but anytime I am looking for something antique or different, I come here first. The place is HUGE and one of the best selections in town.
The people who work here are fun. We recently bought a kitschy fifties table lamp that was so cute. One of the folks took it from me to hold up front, which was a relief as I was terrified of dropping it. When we got up to purchase it, they had it plugged in and were all excited about it.
I have even called up the booth owners before to negotiate better pricing, which is a must in an antique mall.
This place rocks! Good luck finding it as it is tucked away behind the skating rink off 183.

I’ve always been a collector of sorts but never anything very valuable. If I love it, it comes home with me. Like Hubby. That was the one item of value I collected and still have.

I purchased one Beatles album I found after patiently pouring through the viny but nothing else moved me. Each stall is rented separately and if that dealer is around you can negotiate their listed price. If not, the front office will contact them for you.
