We have created a relationship-​based, health-​centered modern dental office with a smiling and energetic team that will treat you like family. We are centrally located and take pride in spending time getting to know you. We offer a full range of dental services from cleanings to implants and everything in between. History

Established in 1999.

We started our dental practice like any other new business would: from the ground up, with zero clients and lots of enthusiasm.

It was 1999, Austin was growing by leaps and bounds, and we were sure we’d be busy from the day we hung out our Grand Opening sign. Not so!

We found out first-​hand what it takes to create and grow a good dental practice. By virtue of NOT having a large patient load at the outset, we had the luxury of taking our time with our patients’ care. We really got to know our patients, shared laughs with them, and ended up creating lasting relationships with them. We have continued that tradition as we’ve grown. It’s the hallmark of our practice.

Over the past 15 yrs we’ve modernized the facility and kept ourselves up-​to date on everything from Gum Therapy to Cosmetics to Dental Implants. We welcome you to come meet us and be a part of our dental family.

Business Owner

When not off in Seattle (involved in post-​doctoral studies), I can be found running Lady Bird Lake, mountain biking the Greenbelt, or at Stubb’s/Antone’s/Mohawk catching a live band.

I built my reputation on getting to know my patients, carefully listening to their concerns, and then explaining in detail what procedures would be best for their needs. I am deeply concerned with providing patients with the highest level of comfort and quality care.

I have only had one appointment with Dr. Shah but I can honestly say that he isn’t like any other dentist I have encountered. While a lot of dentists can be skilled or talented, a good bedside (or:“chairside” manner) is very hard to find. Dr. Shah came to get me from the waiting room himself and really took the time to listen to me. He did not do anything without asking, and he made it very clear that he wants to looks for the best solution, with consideration for finances as well. He followed up with an oral surgeon the next day and then called me that same day to leave a message to touch base. This made me feel like his practice actually cared about my case, and that I wasn’t just another paycheck. Rare find!

Going to Austin Dental Arts is like taking a trip to a spa. The entire office is very clean, modern, bright, and zen-​like. The rooms all come with a view (and a TV in case you hate looking at beautiful trees). The staff is amazing and they seem to make it a point to treat patients like old friends. And oh yeah, Dr. Shah is super easy on the eyes.
Jeannie has been my hygienist for a little over 2 years now. She always does an amazing job and manages to use a very thorough but light hand. I actually look forward to getting my teeth cleaned! I have also seen the other lady, Boni, and she’s super sweet and just as good. You can’t go wrong!
I have yet to have anything less than a 5 star visit in my time as a patient. Debbie at the front desk is great at scheduling my appointments around my work schedule and even calls me when she gets openings for early mornings (the best time for me). I have never had to wait longer than 3 minutes in the waiting room… which is kind of a shame because I don’t get to take advantage of the free coffee.
The top-​notch service and the amazing quality of dentistry provided by Dr. Shah and staff are the reasons I will be coming back and recommending him to family and friends.
Hot tip: Go to the restroom and check out their super high end paper towels. They have to be like, at least 4-​ply.

I made my appointment with Dr Shah for Monday, January 11th at 1 pm a week in advance. I even fill the form online, I was very exacted to see the Doctor because I been with some pain in one of my teeth. The day of my appointment I came on time and the place was close, a lady was there and open the door for me, she mention that the place was close because the Doctor was not available. I mention that I make an appointment and why no one call me or e-​mail to cancel on me. I organize myself to be on time and is not nice no body give any explanation. I am very disappointed about the customer service and bad Organization.

Very few people can say that they love their dentist. Especially someone with a mouth full of cavities! Seriously you would think that I drink soda all day and have never heard of floss. But I can! Dr Shah sees all of my family and I send all of my friends here. The entire staff is top notch!

What a refreshing find!
Recently my dentist sold his practice… and let’s just say it was time to move on.
I broke up with my old dentist and thank you to Unilocalsters found Austin Dental Arts/​Dr. Shah.
I had been suffering from mouth sores for a few months. I had gone to Dr. Shah because he had a special kind of laser that can treat this. He first met with me in his office (not the chair) to discuss my oral health and concerns. Then he took me in to look at my mouth.
He suggested two things. 1. Change my toothpaste as it could be causing these sores and 2. gave me an inexpensive alternative to the laser to try first. So far it has been 6 weeks and no sores (toothpaste??) but if I have one I have a quick at home fix to heal them.
He called me to check on me and sent me a thank you note! He is down to earth, caring, and the office is fabulous. I highly recommend Dr. Shah!

I have been going to Austin Dental Arts for 9 years and they always strive to impress and improve! Their staff is friendly and up to date on the latest dental facts and industry improvements. The rates are competitive and we actually choose to go out of network to stay with Dr. Shah at Austin Dental Arts. Why?! Because my husband was using a standard conglomeration dentist in town who was In-​Network on our dental insurance that just about traumatized him. He switched over to Austin Dental Arts at my advice and is so happy he did. The staff makes sure he is not in pain and that is very important. So happy to have a wonderful dentist/​dental team I can trust.

Been going to Austin Dental Arts for a four years now. Great place to go. Everyone there is very nice. Office is very modern with a cool look to it. Dr. Shah is always very helpful and I get in and out in a timely fashion. If your looking for a dentist I highly recommend them. :)

There really are not enough words to describe Dr. Shah and his office and staff. I have been seeing him as a patient for approximately 12 years. My husband and I moved from Austin to Albuquerque and I flew to Austin to see Dr. Shah rather than break up with the practice and find someone else. We now live in Dallas and I still drive in at least twice a year for cleanings and most recently Zoom whitening. Dr. Shah truly loves his staff and it is so apparent because they have all been there for years and I truly look forward to catching up with them along with Dr. Shah every time I come in to see him. I have referred countless family and friends to Austin Dental Arts and will continue to drive to Austin to see him until I am old and toothless!

My family moved to Austin this year and one of the biggest issues is finding great doctors. Dr. Neal Shah is just that. His entire operation is one of the best. He offers state of the art dental care. His staff is caring and efficient. They run on-​time so you get in and out as planned. The office is beautiful, new, clean and modern. You will find this the perfect practice for your family.

These are the only people I trust to shove their meat hooks in my pie hole. I know what a bad dentistry experience is like, as a previous review will attest. By contrast, these folks have been amazing.
Debbie and Kelly in the front office have gone above and beyond in the fight with my insurance company to get them to deliver on the benefits I have paid for.
Margie has been skilled and professional, and Jeannie is as advertised –a Dental Hygenius. She is a great patient educator and is professional and gentle in everything she does. She has put the brakes on years of decline in my gum line. Dr. Shah is everything you could want in a dentist and has listened and responded to how sensitive my mouth and gums are and given me the appropriate kinds of treatment to keep me from crying like a little girl before getting medieval on my mouth. He is also a Red Raider and fellow West Texan to boot. They have taken excellent care of me and I know that they approach patient care as more than just business. Hats off to Austin Dental Arts.

Dr. Shah goes the extra mile adding a personal approach and took the time to understand my concerns and make me feel comfortable. In addition, Jeannie was super sweet and kind.

Used to love this place. After spending over $ 5,000 here, you would think that I would be treated as valued customer. Customer service has really declined in the last year. They have changed their billing practices so the patient has to bear the upfront cost, and wait to be reimbursed by the insurance provider. I questioned this. The receptionist said it was «more efficient» to do it this way. I asked for whom? Certainly not for me. I don’t think I should have to float the price difference. Besides, I have also come to learn that the prices are substantially inflated to other offices. I still love Dr. Shah and his work, but unfortunately it’s time for me to move on and find another dentist.

I move here recently and decided to try out Austin Dental Arts after reading other reviews and I’m glad I did. When I first called, I was concerned because they were booked up for regular cleanings for months. However, if you have a flexible schedule, then they can put you on the waiting list for when they have cancellations. As it turned out, they called me back the next day because they had a cancellation. The entire staff was so friendly, I was really nervous because I’ve had dental problems in the past. There is a spot they found on my tooth that they couldn’t tell from the X-​rays if it’s a problem, but they are going to continue to monitor it rather than do something immediately. I love this conservative approach, because you can’t undo a filling! Dr. Shah also fixed a bite issue that I had from a previous filling for free. I’d highly recommend Austin Dental Arts.

I went to one of those chain dental places because I was lured by a free checkup coupon. They noticed that one of my teeth was in bad shape and suggested a very expensive and costly root canal. Fortunately, I went to Dr. Shah for a second opinion.
He agreed that the tooth was in bad shape but felt that it could be fixed with a filling. He said it would take a little longer and be a little more effort but it could be done. It’s been a year and the filling is still in great shape. Dr. Shah saved me a lot of pain and unnecessary expense.
Since that time, I’ve referred my family members to him and he’s shown them the same honesty and care as I recieved. It’s nice to have someone you can trust that is also a small independent business.

I too have avoided going to the dentist for years at a time. Each time I finally got the nerve to visit a dentist my experience enforced my apprehension. Finally my wife, who shares my aversion to tooth manipulation, went to Dr. Shah.
To make a long story short both my wife and I have found Dr. Shah and his practice a breath of fresh air. Dr. Shah offers sedation dentistry. After one of my molars cracked in half (man I’m getting old) this medication and the lack of any weird judgment from him or his staff I was happily back to eating and ready for a new Unilocal restaurant review.

Dr. Shah is extremely charismatic and polite — he’s the only dentist I’ve met (and I’ve been to a lot) who actually greets you from the waiting room. He’s a very bright, mercury-​free dentist who cares about his patients and preserving their teeth. Another dentist said my son needed 12 fillings, but Dr. Shah only felt 5 were necessary. The office staff was also very polite and accommodating, and we were not even charged for the consultation! It was about as great an experience as anyone could imagine.

5 Stars all the way! Dr. Shah, Hollie, Jeannie, and Margie are the best. Whether I only need a cleaning, the random shameful filling, whitening, or a major pain meds for a root canal, Austin Dental Arts keeps it hooked up. The office is comfortable and the work is great. Plus, they are a lot of fun!
