Fantastic experience. David was great! Very nice. No pressure to buy a more expensive mattress, and he kept pulling out different mattresses to help me find the right one. Would definitely refer this place to others.

I have to start out by saying they’re not a horrible store, I just find their policies in returns a little ridiculous. I bought a mattress 2 months ago and felt like I was talked into a Euro top bed instead of what I really wanted which was a pillow top (I have chronic back issues). The salesman assured me I would be happy with it and if I wasn’t they’d find something else for me on their return policy.
So after sleeping on it for a couple months my back pain is worse and I actually prefer to sleep on my couch, not awesome!
So I went back in and explained my situation to the same salesman as before and he was really unsympathetic. First he suggested I put a $ 150 – 200 mattress topper on a brand new mattress (what??). And then he made it seem like a big issue to return it. They also take out 15% of the total purchase price for a restocking fee because «they can’t sell a used mattress». Whatever, that’s fine, but then they don’t have any pillow tops in my price range, the only one that’s close is a cool $ 200 more than what I paid already plus an additional $ 50 to get it delivered and an extra surcharge to remove the 1^st mattress! They also didn’t have that one currently in stock and said they’d call me when it came in, but they never did.
I’m just so annoyed at this point and am so frustrated at spending $ 700 for a mattress I can’t sleep on. I’m sticking to the chains from now on, they price match, have sales, and will take back your mattress if you don’t like it… no surcharge included!

These guys are the best! Relaxed atmosphere, friendly and helpful without being at all pushy. I got an excellent bed at a great price, quick delivery, no problems at all. I forgot and left my smartphone there, and when I went back, David came out into the parking lot and handed it back to me before I barely got out of the car!

Courteous staff. Found what I was looking for very fast. Had the mattress paid and shipped out same day. Easiest time I’ve had buying a mattress.

This is a very nice and helpful store. I bought 3 beds and came back and bought another mattresses later for all of my 4 kids. Monica was very helpful answered questions did not push just encouraged everyone to try a bed and decide what worked best for us. I dealt with Lamar as well and he was also very helpful. No pressure just helpful folks. I highly recommend.

The best mom & pop store. My husband and I have bought 5 bed sets so far from them and they are simply wonderful. The owner is super down to earth as well as all the workers– Sam and Chad. They give great deals to customers and we got our beds delivered the next day. They’re simply super!

Friendly and informative. This is not like buying a used car which the big mattress companies have made this purchase like.

Came in about an hour before they closed on a Saturday. The gentleman who helped me was very glad to show me suggestions in the price range and style I was looking for, and I found the perfect bed in less than 10 minutes. While paying for it, their last delivery truck of the day was leaving, and he held it and loaded my bed, delivering it around 730pm on a Saturday (which was awesome of them).

This was exactly what I hoped it would be — a local store with friendly, personable staff that were eager for my business. The money that they *don’t* spend on a giant, gaudy building is invested in competitive pricing and hiring staff that actually cares and takes interest in the needs of their customers. By way of comparison, the mattress set I bought was awfully similar to one I saw at Mattress Firm and for 2/3’s less.
I was in and out within 30 minutes (and after trying every bed they had). David was nothing short of a gentleman and worked hard to earn my business. I will gladly return to purchase my next set for my guest bedrooms and will be sure to let my friends and family know that this diamond in the rough is well worth the trip. I have been here to buy mattresses twice. Once with a roommate from college to get a cheap mattress (although it was cheap it was very comfy) and once with my Mom to pick out a guest bed. The owner was extremely helpful. I did not feel pressured at all, and he showed us all the mattresses in the store from the cheapest to most expensive without any bias. I ended up buying a Simmon Beautysleep mattress. I am very happy with the purchase. When picking up the mattress the owner said he would come back and open the store if we came after hours.

I needed a new mattress and thought my 18^th birthday would be a good occasion to get one. Austin Discount Mattress is a small store and salesman Dave showed me three mattresses when I said I wanted something twin-​sized and affordable, but trying the three was all it took to find the right one. It was on sale too so all we paid was $ 200 for something super comfortable with great support. As we waited for a friend with a van to show up so we could haul the new purchase away without charge, Dave was very friendly and happy to engage in conversation with us. Overall, I was very impressed with the price, quality, and customer service.

I am so grateful for this little store. I was in desperate need of a new mattress, after sleeping on a blow-​up for three months. After a visit to the chiropractor, I made the journey up to McNeil Dr, because the reviews here on Unilocal were so good… and his website boasted some great prices. Both were good indicators of the experience.
Lamar let me try a few beds, working within my price range. He was honest about how well they were (or were not made), and even suggested I get the least expensive one. Then asked some important questions about what I needed in a bed. When I told him about my back, he took it seriously and had me try one more model, just in case. Man, it was perfect. The last bed was a little out of my price range, but it was so much closer to what I really needed. It was a no pressure sale; I knew he was right. I slept on it last night and praised the few extra dollars I spent. Thanks so much, Lamar! You’re my Austin mattress King from here on out and I’ll be sure to send folks your way.

This place is a hidden gem for the mattress shopper. I found these guys through an easy Google search about a year and a half ago. They cut the competitions’ prices in half. I bought a king-​size Serta mattress for under $ 800.
I remembered this little shop last weekend, while my boyfriend was shopping for a new mattress. He got his queen size Beauty Rest mattress (no box set) for $ 430, with taxes.
This place has a great selection, whether you are looking for a soft or firm mattress, and everything in between. Their staff is unbelievably friendly (from my experience, usually one in the store at a time). I highly recommend this store to anyone on the market for a new mattress.

Great store with very friendly honest service. David was wonderful. I went there first, comparison shopped, and went back. I got a great mattress there sooo much cheaper than everywhere else. I would absolutely recommend this place to my friends.

I could not be happier that I stumbled upon the website for this place while I was looking for a mattress. I already had a bed frame, so all I purchased was the box spring and mattress.
They have a wide selection that caters to almost every consumer. They lay it out, both on the website and at the store, in a way that is very easy to understand. If you take 10 minutes to look at the website, you will know exactly what you want to look at when you get there.
The owner was the one who assisted me and he was very nice. The way he spoke about the mattresses was similar to the way my father used to speak of cars. You could tell that he knew every detail of each mattress and he seems to enjoy working with the public.
They delivered my mattress to Round Rock, on the third floor, for no extra charge. That might seem like something people should just do, but having just moved, most deliveries cost me extra for Round Rock and even more for the 3^rd floor.
The young man that delivered them did so with the utmost care and he was extremely polite. WAY more than I can say for any other delivery during this move.
Sleeping on this mattress has been great. The bed is just what I was informed it would be and even more. I hardly want to get out of bed anymore at all!

This place is fantastic. The staff was really friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable, the mattresses are cheap (but there are still lots of options, and even the cheap ones are comfortable!), and I was in and out in ten minutes tops. Best of all, I got it delivered that night (between 6 and 9pm, and he showed up right around 6. Perfect). Highly recommended!

A week ago I purchased a full-​size mattress and frame from Macy’s. At that time I *didn’t* buy a box spring, thinking a sheet of plywood on the frame would work all right. Won’t ever make THAT mistake again!
I found Austin Discount Mattress using an Internet search. I called and spoke with Monica, who was extremely friendly, courteous and helpful. Today I went and picked up my 9″ full-​size box spring … $ 96 total! It fits perfectly with my mattress, and my sad, sorry arthritic knees already fully appreciate the extra height.
The shop is smaller than I anticipated, but it’s welcoming and has a very friendly atmosphere about it. The quality and choice of beds is very good. I would highly recommend Austin Discount Mattress to anybody thinking about getting a new bed. Good prices … good quality … and very friendly, professional and courteous employees. :)

This was my second purchase from these guys. First off, the prices were great and the deliver super fast, same day in our case. There was a mix up with the mattress top, but they corrected it the very next business day. I really appreciate the service and the quality they sell. I won’t buy anywhere else.

Spoke to Lamar this morning and ordered a mattress and frame. It was super affordable and they are delivering it today! Great service would totally recommend them to anyone! Thank you so much for making this such an easy process!

Just an update — my mattress was delivered as promised and on time. They delivered in the evening, which was a huge plus for me, and even hauled off my old mattress for a little extra. The new bed is really comfortable too.
I was totally happy with the entire experience, and will definitely be shopping with these guys again.
