History
Established in 2008.
Austin Karate for Kids, established in March, 2008, is the only dojo in Austin to offer traditional Shotokan karate to ages 5 through adult in our North and South Austin locations. We are dedicated in training with excellence in all the aspects of the ancient art of Karate Do: kihon (basics), kata (patterns), kumite (sparring) and self-defense. Monthly tuition is $ 85.00/mo. Family member discounts are being offered. AKK does not have contracts or belt exam fees. We strongly believe that belts should be earned, not bought Our program, taught by caring and supportive internationally accredited instructors, emphasizes the physical, emotional, and mental training of each student at age, fitness, and skill appropriate levels. At AKK, our students are not just another face. We strive to know each student personally by name, personality, and skill level so that they can benefit the most from our program. We believe that karate is a life long, life changing journey, a way of life!
