Horrible service had me wait in hall past appt start time while she had a private visitor. Lashes did not last two weeks. I have had them in the past last 3.5 weeks! Not impressed. Plus they were way more artificial/​obvious then my last set. I guess I should have know when it took her only 30 mins to put on. It took 2hrs last time. (My previous eye lash stylist was in my hometown).
Plus she called at 10:15 p to cancel our 10a follow up appt bc she decided to go out of town.

Well, now, this seems to be the 3^rd business name change I know of for Seema Joshi. Seems whenever she gets negative reviews, all she does is change her name. Look up Austin Sutra, Browz by Seema and Flawless Hair extensions.
I see she hasn’t updated her address, but she is now located in Grapevine Salons, 7942 Great Northern Blvd., Suite 19, Austin 78 757.
How this person can continue to be in business with poor reviews and now a filed and recorded judgment against her for eye damage she caused me (which remains unpaid) is beyond me — people who have been hurt need to sue her to put her out of business permanently!

Trust me when I say avoid her like the plague. And surely don’t buy a Groupon because you will never get a call back to set up an appointment and Groupon won’t help you get you money back. Literally I’ve lost 79.00. There are more professional businesses out there and try Living Social instead of Groupon perhaps they more likely to businesses accountable.

Mink Eyelash Extensions? Really?
cruel conditions that minks suffer on breeding farms, including self-​mutilation, small cages… etc. Is that worth longer eyelashes?

Ugh.
I wish I had done my research before I bought the voucher for lash and fill. I went to see Seema to do my lashes 4 days before my wedding. She was 15 minutes late… something that everyone else on here seems to complain about.
She asked me what I wanted, and I said I wanted something really natural. She didn’t seem to talk much and she did answer her cell several times during the treatment. She didn’t explain anything that she was doing. After my lashes were done, I said…“oh, I see you do eyebrows also, can you do mine? I like my brows natural, so keep them thick.“
After she was done, to my horror, she had threaded away almost all of my brows. They were merely 2 pencil thin highly arched lines above my eye. I’m not into the chola look for myself (thin, arched, angry looking tattooed-​on or penciled-​on eyebrows) 4 days before my wedding!!! i can’t regrow my brows that quickly.
When I looked at the mirror, I wanted to cry. I called my then-​fiancé and sobbed, «I look like Michael Jackson!»
The reason that Seema is getting such a low rating from me is because she blatantly disregarded my wishes when I asked her to keep my brows thick. God knows what she would have done if I went in for permanent make-​up. Eek.

I got eyelash extensions by Seema at C Bella salon. I should’ve been more diligent in looking for reviews, because I wasted my money, time and real eyelashes. I had a similar experience to one of the other reviewers. Lashes looked good for about 5 days and they began falling apart, breaking, the clumps of lashes and adhesive on my lash line became clear, and I had to get them taken off elsewhere-​in the process losing my top row of lashes because of how many were globbed on the wrong way. In addition to the shoddy work, her workspace was dirty and smelled strongly of food.
I would not recommend using Seema’s eyelash services. Spend the extra money elsewhere or wait for any other coupon deal.

My mom had a Groupon to get her brows done and I took her because she does not drive, and I was curious about the treatment.
In the end, my over 70 year old mom has eyebrows for the first time in years. And I was impressed by how things were going with her so I got mine done as well. Right now both of us are very happy with our new eyebrows, we’ve asked friends how they look and everyone is impressed.
BUT…I have to say that when they were first done I was panicked! They were sooo dark, and thick. I felt like I looked like Joan Crawford, and scary! I was actually sick thinking I had made the biggest mistake of my life. Seema said they would fade but after that first night I wasn’t believing it. But in about 4 days they did fade, a lot. And now they really look great! So my advice to anyone considering this would be to NOT plan any public events for several days afterwards, cause you will feel very self conscious about your brows. And know that they will fade about 50%.
The reason I only gave 4 stars was because the salon is unfortunately not that pleasant, no relaxing spa treatment at all, noisy, cramped, and hard to find. BUT, Seema has her own private room from which she works, and she seems to have a talent for brows that impressed me. I have friends that have gone to fancier places, and paid a lot more, and their brows don’t look nearly as good as mine or my mom’s. And another thing, my mom has gray/​white hair, and Seema was very careful in blending just the right color and giving her an arch, something she didn’t have before. Mine too are really nicely shaped. With both of us Seema was very patient in getting just the right color as well as shape.
One more thing, neither my mom or I thought the experience was very painful. My mom said that the initial threading, to shape her original brows, hurt much worse than the permeant procedure. I didn’t think either hurt. But I did take an ibuprofen before hand.

I went to Seema to get my initial set of lashes and went back twice. At first I thought she did a good job because my lashes looked good. However she was always late and the last time I went in for my appointment she didn’t even show up, so I found someone else. It was then that I realized how terrible of a job she does. My real lashes were so damaged because she never cleaned them before filling them in and she had put three lashes on one of my real lashes. She is very unprofessional and the location is very shady looking.

I had the hair extension on groupon and I went there for consultation.
issue 1) In the session, she insisted that I put some money down. But I already prepaid for it when I bought the groupon. Then she started with this sob story about «well, they only give me half of the price of what you paid and I am not going to see until later». Was I supposed to feel sorry and give her more money? This was her business decision to advertise with the coupon site and should not have done it if she wasn’t going to be comfortable with it. She was definitely making me uncomfortable that I bought the groupon.
issue 2) She didn’t have a good cutting skill to blend my hair and extension naturally
issue 3) The place is dirty and unorganized and smells of food.
issue 4) After 3 washes, I couldn’t comb my hairs any more even with ample amount of good conditioner. Hair was matted and clumped together. Some of my friends suspected that it was not human hair. And I called her about it and her response was that no one else has the problem.
To be fair, she answered all my phone call every time. Wait! that’s not a god thing because she answered calls from other people while she was working on my hair!

2 weeks later and all of the extensions have fallen out of my right eye. They started coming out the first night even though I made sure not to use any products with oil. Looked so ridiculously lopsided I just took out the ones on the left.

I will admit, when I first saw my lashes — I thought I could deal with the weird parking lot, the fact that she answered her phone four times during my eyelash service, the fact that she was 45 minutes late for our appointment and odd little room she works out of that borders on unsanitary at times. Instead, as my lashes that «should last 2 – 3 weeks» were pared down to THREE lashes on each eye in less than a week, I realized — this just wasn’t worth it. I love a deal as much as the next girl, but in this case — you didn’t even get what you paid for. I’d avoid and drive a little north and check out Dede at Halo Salon in Round Rock. She fixed my peepers and they look AMAZING!

I did teeth whitening and eyebrow threading with Seema and was happy with both. It was my first time doing threading and I was amazed at how quick and how good it looked.

As I pulled out of the weirdly situated parking lot I thought «at least if I die now, my eyelashes will be GORGEOUS for the funeral.» Really, i thought that. Cuz I’m morbid. But then again, they really do look good. We’ll see how long the last, considering it was a groupon-​type deal but the 1.5 hour process, and our conversation, makes me think that it will be something that’s more robust.
So it took forever to find this place — since it’s in a peach shopping center with a day care and vasquez tacos but Seema works out of a shop called CBella. She was nice enough to call me the day before, confirm the appt and then give me additional directions the day of. We talked about what I wanted… which was basically me going «I dont know. This seems super girly. What should I do?» and her assuring me that something just a little longer than my natural would work fine. So we did that thang. And 1.5 hrs later I looked like Jasmine from Aladdin.
ProTips:
– Lay down. Ask to do the bed thing because that chair sucks after that amount of time. And she asked me whether I’d prefer but by that time we were into the process.
– This is gonna take a while. Be prepared
– Take an audiobook if you like them. Or dload the app on your iphone for audiobooks. Then your time goes fast and you get an hour into that book youve been meaning to read.
So now I get to bat my eyes and create a small breeze. My eyelashes seem great now and folks are commenting on them left and right. Id be interested in trying out some of her other services so keep an eye out for updates on «The State of My Lashes.»

Seema was an hour late for our appointment and had me sit in the most uncomfortable chair while she applied my eyelashes. I was content with the final product, however, felt some irritation. The eyelashes were tangled and began falling out after a day. After one week, all of the eyelashes have fallen out. I am extremely disappointed, as this was a huge waste of money, but luckily, she only charged me $ 99. I will not be a returning to Seema.

Awesome job! Seema is fast and friendly, and she’s SO honest.
I wouldn’t go to anyone else for my services now.
I will definitely go back to her again!
