Austin Wine Educators LLC specializes in hosting thematic wine tastings that are fun and educational. Whether at some one’s home or in a public venue, wines are specifically chosen to play off of each other in an interesting way and proper glassware will be used.

History

Established in 2012.

Mark Rashap CWE started this tastings company out of a need in Austin for reliable wine education pertinent to the Austin market. Mark has worked in all sectors of the wine industry, spanning production, distribution, and retail. Mark is certified through the Society of Wine Educators.

Meet the Business Owner

Business Owner

Mark entered into the world of wine by studying Wine Management in a UC Davis sponsored course in Buenos Aires, Argentina. He then went on to work as assistant wine maker at: Nota Bene Cellars in Washington State for four years. During that time, he started a wine brokerage and promotions company specializing in distributing artisan Washington Wineries to a few select US markets. Moving to Austin in 2009, Mark decided his knowledge and experience would be better suited to educating consumers in a retail environment.
