History

Established in 1995.

In 1995, Jeffrey J. Barnett founded his solo law practice as the Law Offices of Jeffrey J. Barnett. In 1997, he partnered with Gregory D. Kocian to form Barnett & Kocian, PC. Then in about 2004, Greg moved to the Dallas/​Fort Worth area to be closer to family and to start his practice there, and the practice changed its name to the current one, Barnett & Associates, PC.

Business Owner

Barnett & Associates, P.C., was founded in 1995 by attorney Jeffrey J. Barnett. Jeff is licensed to practice in all state courts, as well as the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Texas. He mediates family and business civil law. Jeff graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a BBA of Business Administration with concentrations in Finance and Management and a BA in Government. Jeff was a member of Sigma Alpha Mu, and he is a life member of the Texas Exes. He is also an annual contributor to the Longhorn Foundation. Jeff has served as District Justice for Texas for Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity, International. Jeff received two Dean’s Service Awards and was twice recognized in Who’s Who Among American Law Students while attending Drake University Law School in Des Moines, Iowa. He was very active in the Student Bar Association. He wrote for The Gavel, and he held several leadership positions in several student organizations.
