I honestly LOVED living at Liv Whitestone UNTIL Bexley took over. I lived at Liv Whitestone for about 10 months till Bexley took over. I’ve always paid my rent on time and in full. One month, I got an eviction notice INSIDE my apartment because I didn’t pay rent(but I did). I came into the leasing office and I felt like they were accusing me of lying. I even said«I handed it to the lady at the front desk. There’s clearly security cameras, you can check.» I even told them the date and time I came in. They told me the security cameras are confidential and can’t be shared with me so I had to pay or else I would be evicted and maybe I should call my bank. I had to call my bank about 3 times, who told me that the check was settled and deposited but they couldn’t give me any additional information. They only provided me a copy of my rent check and the bank it was deposited to. I gave all that information Bexley and we kept going back and forth. There was no stamp on the back of my deposited check which they said they ALWAYS do so it couldn’t possibly be deposited into their bank. They kept pressuring me to write them a new check with all these late charges. I kept telling them to check the security cameras because I handed them a check that THEY lost. This was LITERALLY a 2 week debacle and the worst part was, I felt like I was being treated like a liar. FINALLY they said that they found the funds, it was deposited to a wrong account… And it was done(or so I thought). A month later, I was told the funds weren’t deposited appropriately and were put back into my bank account. I told the lady, it hasn’t been and sent her a screenshot of the settled check on my statement. She just kept telling me that her bank told her it was and it should be in my account. Of course, I had to call the bank another 3 times to check. I FINALLY sent her a screenshot of my bank statement to date for like 2 months to show her that nothing was put back in my account. It was then, she finally said her bank told her it would take a few days. After going back and forth for a few weeks, the funds were put back in my account and I wrote them a 2nd check. I literally spent so much time calling my bank and calling them and the worst part was, they made me feel like I was lying the whole time for a mistake they made. I got no compensation or anything. The worst part is, they charged me $ 125 for a bag of trash that was left outside when I moved out. I thought my $ 20 trash valet I pay per month would cover that… And $ 50 because I forgot to get my little mat from the balcony. Don’t live here. It’s a scam.

Austin is such a beautiful city to go hiking or check out the local bites. Besides from the city itself, it is always pretty amazing to find a place to call home. I haven’t quite yet lived in an apartment. But I can say, I have sight-seen a lot & visitely stayed in one or two or three. hm. A side from my experience with apartment life. I never imagined these apts. looking so huge on the insides. Like whoa, and it actually reminds you as if you’re staying in an hotel. The rooms are spacious, multiple bathrooms, and not danky ones neither. The bathrooms are full blown nice. Each bedroom had one of it’s own & the middle hall had an extra one. Great, for guests. The living room & kitchen will seat you down in one spot & enjoy that spot for hours end. The kitchen area has an island; well at least in my brother’s apt. There is an island with wide enough space to expand to the next line of countertops. With updated stainless steel appliances and wooden laminate floors, I would too not want to leave that area. The carpet in the living room is as soft as soft. The windows to the balcony is at the right angle which sets off that relaxed vibe while listening, watching, or chilling out. This ain’t your waste of time just because apartments. The locals were pretty hyped friendly greeting me & my brother as we were standing outside the apartments. The apartments next door aren’t connected. Everyone assumes this, but don’t be fooled. There is one way in & one way out. Enjoy!

Things have gotten a little better. There is a little less fecal matter around the complex. They have also added more doggie stations which has aided in the process of cleaning up. It seems like the new management is starting to get acclimated. The people at the front desk are always very kind and soft spoken, which is a plus. Samantha has always been extremely helpful(especially considering the copious amounts of packages that arrive for me)

I originally had a pretty negative review on here, but I’m upping it because I think the new management is a lot better than the old, original management. Mostly I think the maintenance staff is now a lot better. We had a major problem with water leaking in from outside and causing mold on the wall behind our couch. The new maintenance people figured out that some kind of a barrier didn’t go all the way down, and correctly repaired it so that it doesn’t mold every time it rains anymore. Yay! There are a few awesome things about the complex: — 24 hour gym — fitness classes — The people in the office are very nice and helpful. — beautiful pool — free coffee or hot chocolate — very beautiful in general However, there are still some negative things about the complex: — Because it has central water heating, it takes a long time to get hot water. You end up dumping a couple of gallons of water down the drain every time you want hot water. This is bad, because you are also charged a lot for water. — The fees seem exorbitant. There’s a water heating fee, boiler management fee, service fee for hot/waste water, and storm water fee, totally $ 45/mo. to provide you with water PLUS $ 14 per thousand gallons. Depending on how much water you use, this can turn out to be a lot. For us, that’s $ 12/mo. for a total of $ 57/mo. just for our water. I have neighbors who use a lot more water and end up paying a couple hundred per month just for water. — The total fees for non-metered services is $ 77/mo. — like most apartment complexes, you can hear your neighbors. In general I think it’s a fine place to live, although if I was choosing an apartment now, I’d also really consider the Mansions at Lakeline. They’re more expensive, but considering Whitestone charges $ 40/mo. for covered parking, and I think $ 100/mo. for a garage(might be out of date on that), the price difference might not be as much as it seems. Still a pretty good place overall. Best of luck to you if you choose to live here.

I had to drop 2 stars on this review due to the way this management company handled our Transfer Request and multiple Maintenance Requests. Although it is true that the staff is very soft spoken and kind, they truly fail in the amount of Time it takes them to handle their business affairs. This company took over the complex 1 month into my lease term to where I have brought up the many issues that were occurring in my unit. The washer machine was leaking, the AC broken in the Master, Cabinet handles, cosmetics were detached, the sink in the master was not flowing properly, many scratches on the wood floor from previous tenant, oven light broken, garbage disposal broken and piece to the dryer machine missing. After discussing these issue with Bexley they reassured me that the issues would be resolved within 2 – 4 business days. No big deal I figured with the big specials I received. I was wrong, it took 2 weeks for them to fix the garbage disposal. another week to fix the oven light. Why they didn’t fix both at the same time IDK? Nothing else has been fixed and I’m 2 months into my lease with this current management company. We filed for a Transfer request to get the heck out of this luxury unit with this many problems that were still not being addressed. The manager assured us that if we requested a transfer into a bigger Unit and filed for the occupant who had been currently living with us, that the transfer would essentially work. After 2 weeks of waiting patiently they sent in a pre-transfer inspector. The inspection took a total of 3 minutes and he assured me everything was perfect. That same day I get a call from the AM with news that the transfer was rejected. Why I asked, mentioning that they have already essentially told us that it would be approved. Rudely, the AM says«I don’t believe that is true nor happened» Note, not only was no explanation given for the denial but she then offered to Transfer us to a different unit at the end of our current lease term? It was almost like she was poking fun at us, of course we can transfer once our lease is over, I am not Ignorant. The AM wasn’t even in the private conversation we had with the manager in her office when we were told we would be approved just fine in our specific situation. Her comment was unprofessional. Anyhow, I cannot believe the downturn I have experienced here. Truly a shame because problems set aside, I do love my apartment and floor-plan and the staff I thought at first, actually cared about their tenants. CONS: 1) Management company takes Forever to get things done & are not true to their word 2) The walls are thin and you can hear virtually everything in your apartment which is not a big deal to me. I will up this review 1 Star if my problems Ever get Resolved! That’s Fair.

I recently moved out. I waited to post this to make sure I got my deposit back. My apartment had mold behind the refrigerator and in my kids closet. It was black fuzzy mold. The wall where the fridge was against her closet. I found this as I was packing up our things to prepare for move out. This may explain why my kid was feeling sick with headaches and severe allergies. It’s scary we spent a whole year exposed to this mold. When this occurred Bexley took over the community. I called and They sent maintenance to scratch it off wall and that was all. No one could provide me with a report if they tested the mold and what type of mold. I still had a month in community and they refused to give my money back for the month. I moved out early for our health and safety. I tried to report to health department but didn’t have much luck getting a returned phone call. Worst place I ever lived.

Pros: Great location(a lot of homeless people wandering right next to the apts) Cons: Walls are VERY thin, You can hear your upstairs neighbors walking around, You can hear their music and television, You can hear when they are doing laundry, You can hear them get the shower or bath started. If you have a garage below you, when the garage door is opened or closed it will rattle your entire apartment. When they are leaving in the mornings or getting home late at night and have their music on, it again will literally rattle your apartment. It may not sound like a big issue but when it happens more than 2 to 3 times a day it gets a little redundant. They will enter your apartment without notice.(Maintenance came in today and turned the ac down to 60) When i came home it was freezing. I have no idea why it was done. Nothing was communicated. Looks like i will be paying a little more for electricity this month. They charge you for VIP trash service(Not optional) Know that the trash will not always be taken, even if you follow the guidelines. It got so bad people in the hallway had to write notes in chalk for the trash companies employees to take the garbage. I called the office about the chalk in the hallway a month ago and its still there. For the price you will be paying its not worth it. Not even close… Save yourself a lot of headaches and keep looking elsewhere Management if you can help the noise issues i have no problem updating my review.
