Blue Dragon Plumbing offers both commercial and residential service, including drain cleaning/​repair, water heater repair and installation, kitchen and bathroom fixture repair and replacement, Insta-​Hot and garbage disposal installation, light remodeling of kitchen and bathroom fixtures, repair of water leaks and line breaks, repair/​replacement of appliance gas lines, annual commercial gas line inspections, annual plumbing system maintenance.

All of our work complies with the rules and regulations of the Texas Plumbing Code, without exception.

Our regular hours are from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm, but we are available for emergencies on weekends, with no overtime charges except on holidays. If you have an emergency plumbing issue, please call rather than contacting us by email.

Our rates are currently $ 85/​hr with a 1 hour minimum plus 30 minutes of travel within the Austin city limits, and a $ 25 truck charge. Pricing provides discounts for senior citizens, military personnel and others.

Owner Gilbert Jimenez has over 25 years of experience providing friendly, quality service in the Austin area, and is ready to add you to his list of satisfied customers.

Blue Dragon was born in April of 2011 when, after 25 years as a journeyman plumber, I finally realized my dream of owning my own plumbing company, with the goal of offering the most outstanding, dependable plumbing service available to Austin and its surrounding areas.

Unbelievable service. I will be a customer for life.
I broke a pipe on a Saturday. What kind of a plumber answers your call right away and pulls over to put your address into his GPS and shows up immediately? On top of that, he is incredibly skilled. I’ve done some plumbing in my life but watching Gilbert and his craft was like watching the Super Bowl of Plumbing.
He saved me in no more than 30 minutes and was extremely reasonable on price.
I’m amazed. I thought customer service like this was dead.

Gilbert said I could probably fix our running toilets our myself before we spend any extra money by going to hardware store and buying $ 4 – 5 flapper and replacing those. He even recommended a leak professional company if we do think we have a leak. He said that was the first step before calling a plumber if our water bill is high and we think the cause is a leak! What a breath of fresh air! He said he did not want me to waste any money until we try those 2 options. HIGHLY recommend Gilbert. Oh and he called me back in less than 2 minutes of me leaving a voicemail. Very responsive. Thank you Gilbert!

We were able to have Gilbert come out at relatively short notice to fix some issues that came up in our inspection when we were trying to sell our house. He was super friendly and courteous, even our dogs liked him! He really went above and beyond and saved us a lot of money. We were told our water pressure was low and Gilbert actually checked our 2 neighbors pressure and saw it was the same. He told us it was not an issue with our plumbing but rather the water pressure in our neighborhood was low. He suggested we contact the water utility to get confirmation and he was right! We saved hundreds of dollars by not having the get the pressure fixed. Highly recommend.

Great plumber, wonderful person. Highly recommended.
My problem was a clogged garbage disposal. Gilbert fixed it quickly and explained what he was doing, so I could potentially handle it next time. Very reasonable prices, billing hourly with one hour minimum and ½h travel charge in Austin.

I was having a problem with a sink and a toilet. Finding a good plumber is difficult enough, but finding a great one is easy, BLUE DRAGON!
I called Blue Dragon, and Gilbert picked up immediately. He asked about my problem, and said he could squeeze me in between a water heater replacement and his afternoon clients.
He gave me an approximate time for arrival and was right on time. Not only did he do a great job, but cleaned up after his work like it was his own home.
As an aside he is a consummate gentleman, and someone I would recommend to anyone looking for a plumber.

Best plumber I’d ever had the pleasure of working with. I called Gilbert out to fix my sink and dishwasher that kept backing up every so often. I’d had other plumbers out to look at it, and the did a couple of things, declared it fixed, and then left.
After about a half day, the problem would start up again.
Gilbert found the actual problem and fixed it in about 45 minutes.

I’m super duper handy. I have a zillion power tools. I can tape and float drywall, screen in a porch, install a ceiling fan, replace doors, bring home the bacon AND fry that bitch up in a pan. What I can’t do is plumbing. So when my kitchen sink started channeling The Exorcist, I looked to Unilocal for guidance. Enter Gilbert and Blue Dragon Plumbing.
Gilbert answered on the second ring, and, after asking for a description of the problem, was at my house within 30 minutes. He spent a good hour wrestling with my clogged pipes, finally clearing a clog almost at the street. He was clean, efficient, timely, and reasonable, and now I can wash dishes with abandon. Thanks, Blue Dragon, for making everything ok again!

The best experience I’ve had period.
I called Gilbert to replace a water heater at my parents house and I’m so glad I did. Thanks to fellow Unilocalers I know I made the best choice.
From day one we have been in constant communication either by phone or email. It was never a hassle to contact him. Even before we decided to choose him he came out to look at the broken water heater. He took out the water heater and made sure the leaking stopped. Not to mention make sure everything was safe. We used lowes for our last water heater replacement. They were the worst, shady business installers. We ultimately choose him because of the reviews and his courtesy for going the extra mile.
My parents are super happy about the install. Over the years they delt with other handymans, roofers, tile guys you name it. By far they said Gilbert was the best they had someone work on their home. My parents have never spoke so highly of a repairman before.
We are lifelong customers, we know who we are going to call if something else arises. We have never like anyone so much we could recommend to friends/​family. But Gilbert will come with the highest recommendation from us.
