Whenever I look for a specific service such as waxing, I look for someone who has perfected the art and owned the craft of it. Monica is wonderful! We all hope to be as good as her when working in our own line of work. I’m moving to Houston soon but I hope to find the time for my monthly trips to Austin to get waxed.

I was eager to try this place out based on the reviews. I made my appointment online, confirmed via the text message that they sent. When I showed up for my appointment they were closed. What was the point of making an appointment?

Very professional and most of all honest staff. You can tell they are required to have a lot of experience and the venue is small but very cute and CLEAN. Close to campus, on the pricier side but luckily there is a student discount!

After my wax with Tara, I feel beautiful. I would definitely recommend her. She is fast, efficient, and she has great conversation. Did I mention they have televisions to distract u during your session. Ten thumbs up for this place!

Amazing customer service! Both the young lady at the front desk and Maddie who gave me the wax were so extremely nice and had me feel very comfortable just by conversating with me, since I was so nervous. Maddie was awesome & very experienced and would give me the time I needed when I asked for a «little break» because yes it hurts since it was my very very first time ever getting a Brazilian wax, but it really wasn’t all that bad in the end. It just hurts in the spur of the moment but it really wasn’t bad and id definitely go back and ask for Maddie again. Plus they have a TV that keeps you occupied while waxing and even give student discounts! Great staff!!! Cute place!

Maddie was amazing! Great outcome and hardly hurt! I could not ask for a less painful experience or cleaner outcome. Student Discount makes it affordable and definitely will use Maddie every time because she made me feel so comfortable. Clearly so experienced.

I’m new in Austin and looking some place to do my wax and found it, they are friendly and their work is incredible, no pain and quickly.

So I went here for my first wax ever, none the less my first Brazilian.
The women who work here are AMAZING, so sweet and understanding and made me feel totally comfortable.
My wax was beautiful and am so happy i started to regularly wax!
50 $ for student brazilian with a 10 $ tip, suggested to go once every 4 weeks.
I will only be going here and will continue to recommend friends!

This is the cutest wax spa I’ve ever been to. (Ok I’ve only been to 2 others) but it was still adorable:-) As I entered, the front desk girl was friendly and knowledgeable. I was happy because I had a later wax appointment that day and they were able to squeeze me in earlier:-) It was quick and almost painless as to where I don’t plan on EVER going anywhere else but here. There is a TV on the ceiling which helps to distract you, however I had a bad case of the chatters so I talked, talked and talked and before I knew it, it was over:-) YAY to Angela… YOU ROCK!

This place was great– the woman who waxed me was quick and it was probably one of the most painless waxes I’ve ever had! I am definitely going back and would recommend this place to anyone– especially if you need a new place — this was my first time there and it exceeded all expectations !!

Very quick, clean, professional, and friendly. The inside of the salon is really cute and cheerful and when I came in for my appointment I was seen right away– no waiting. It’s also really reasonably priced and (I think) the owner, who was at the front desk, was really welcoming and sweet. Definitely will come back!

Could not be more disappointed in the customer service I received here.
I scheduled a brazilian here, which in itself wasn’t an easy feat — the woman who helped me over the phone had a lot of trouble using the computer system. Certainly not a huge deal, but it took me three phone calls to get it booked. Yeesh!
I requested hard wax, which they supposedly offer. I was assured that they do use hard wax. Then the day of my service, I received a call from the salon saying that my waxer was not comfortable using hard wax and hadn’t done it for some time, but that she would try if I wanted her to. Uhh. I don’t know about you, but I’m not letting anyone near my lady parts with hot wax that they aren’t comfortable with! The woman who called asked if I would like to keep my appointment and use soft wax, or if she could reschedule my appointment for a different day with a waxer who’s more accustomed to hard wax.
I would have loved to reschedule, because I really don’t like soft wax. It hurts more and there’s more potential for infection — but I was in a time crunch. I needed that wax THAT day, and I’d only been told of this problem with a few hours to spare. So I agreed to get the soft wax, but asked what would be done if I ended up not liking it. The receptionist told me that if the soft wax didn’t work for me, they would either refund my service or give me another one free with hard wax.
Well, lo and behold — the soft wax hurt like the dickens, made my skin peel, and I was sore and uncomfortable for days. That should NOT happen. This isn’t a reflection on my waxer, who was lovely and obviously good at her job (sorry, don’t remember her name), but for some reason this wax just didn’t work for my skin. I called and scheduled another wax, reminding them of the issue with the hard wax and telling them about the reaction I had. Again, the receptionist told me I would be receiving a free service and that she clearly remembered what had happened.
The day before my next wax I received a call saying that the manager of the store refused to give me anything «for free,» and that maybe I could get a discount but they weren’t sure yet what it would be. The manager wasn’t even in the store to speak to me. Just. no. If you tell me that you will make something right, you make it right — and you’re not giving me anything for free, you’re fixing a service that I paid for that I should NOT have been expected to pay for. I expressed my disappointment and the receptionist (who, again, was very very nice) said the manager would likely call me to work something out. I’ve received no phone call.
The manager of this store obviously cares much more about money than customer service. I have never had a business make a promise to make a problem right and then rescind that promise. What a terrible, terrible way to treat a customer.

I went to Brazilia Waxing Spa per the recommendation of a friend. Love that they have TVs on the ceiling to watch while you get everything taken care of – really distracts you from the pain! Definitely will be returning :)

LOVE this place.
After a bad experience at European Wax Center I decided to give this place a try and honestly it was a great decision.
The front desk was nice, my appointment was on time, and my esthetician was wonderful! My esthetician made sure I was comfortable the entire time and talked to me to take my mind off the pain. There is also a TV on the ceiling to look at while you get waxed which is also very helpful. My appointment went smooth and fast but not rushed. My esthetician took her time and carefully got out pretty much all my hairs yet she was efficient and my appointment was over in no time. The décor and workers here made me feel really comfortable, along with the student discount I received.
I will definitely be coming back!

REVIEW FOR BRAZILIAN WAX ONLY:
I’ve been twice for a brazilian wax and left dissatisfied each time. Both my initial visit and return were due to the low student prices ($ 43 with valid ID and no tip), but I would gladly pay the extra money to get a quality wax.
Service upon entry: Standard, nothing special. No drinks offered or even attempt to welcome you in. Sit and wait to be called upon. Bleh
Actual service: You do get to watch BET while you get waxed, there is a little flat screen on the ceiling, so that was kind of nice. I asked for hard wax before my appointment because that’s what I’m used to and their website specifies you do so before your appointment. It costs extra, but when I got to my appointment, my esthetician said that she didn’t like using it and that the results are «basically the same». Utter BS.
Place was very clean.
2 stars for low prices, convenience and cleanliness.

Terrible wax. Terrible service.
Couldn’t care less about me.
And I left with what seemed like a close shave. Was red and irritated for a week and the hair started growing back mere DAYS after I was seen. I’m used to waxing lasting at least three weeks.
Not to mention the in grown hairs that took me hours to get rid of.
Wish I could give zero stars.

I went to Brazilia Waxing Spa for the first time on Dec 31 to bring in the new year with a ‘clean slate’. I read the other Unilocal reviews and that helped me select this spot, but its location.
I had a wonderful experience with Channing. She is a true professional, skilled esthetician, and understands how to handle sensitive skin.
She was really patient with me during the process as I have a low pain tolerance, and she also provided me detailed advice on how to care for my ‘clean slate’ post treatment for my sensitive skin.
Channing also gave me some non-​wax related tips about skin and hair maintenance such as exfoliating the body with sugar.
The price for the service is very reasonable. And the rooms have TV’s on the ceiling to help distract patrons.
The one thing I would say about the spa is that it needs to put fans in the rooms. With the super bright lights and heat from the waxing station, it’s really hot in there and makes it harder to get the wax. Not unlike other places I’ve been, just sayin’ it helps to keep you and the «slate» cool.

I’ve been on a search. A very, very, very important search. See, when it comes to all things related to my vagina — -I spare no expense, don’t care about how far I need to drive, and I DEMAND a level of quality that few can surpass.
Enter Brazilia. Seriously, I have breathed a HUGE sigh of relief now that I have found this sweet mecca for vaginas from ALL over Austin.
When I moved to Austin, I had 4 requirements before I could call Austin «home.» I had to find a bomb ass hair salon (check), a bomb ass source for all things produce related, (check), my coffee-​house home away from home (still searching), and a bomb ass brazilianer (CHECK!!)
I checked out 3 other places to try to book appointments. ALL of them were more expensive, and had wait periods of up to two weeks! It was ridiculous – my vagina will not be DENIED! I visited one salon in March, and my vagina went into hiding for weeks afterwards. She wouldn’t come out to play. It was horrifying.
I called Brazilia after hours on Monday, and by Tuesday morning, they had called me and said they could squeeze me in WHENEVER I wanted that day.
So let’s get down to it. I was booked with Monica. At first, she seemed like she was going to be one of those brazilianers that’s respectfully quiet while you go to your happy place as she brings the pain to your vagina. I’m a talker during my brazilian – it’s honestly what occupies my mind. But I was REALLY pleasantly surprised when she humored me and actively engaged me for the duration of the session. THANK YOU!
Monica’s technique was FLAWLESS. She’s an expert with strip waxing. She’s fast, she’s thorough and she only left MINUSCULE scragglers.
A couple things about this business. They offer your brazilian wax for a CRAZY affordable $ 53. AND this is the first place I’ve ever seen that offers a 2 week touch up for only $ 25. Also — Brazilia taught me something. It taught me a new term — vajazzling. That’s right… apparently the bounds of bedazzling know NO boundaries! So, not only can you go hairless… you can go hairless AND decorative. Personally I think my snatch is fancy enough au-​naturel — but hey, it’s great for a gal to have options.
As strange as this might be to say — My vagina has found it’s waxing home. I’m a loyalist and I am NOT risking poor technique EVER again!
GO SEE MONICA. She has a beautiful personality and she WILL take care of you and your vagina will leave manicured and happy. :)

There’s really no classy way to put it— i’ve dabbled quite a bit in the austin brazilian and eyebrow wax scene. I would never say ‘ive seen it all’ (or maybe i should just say that austin estheticians have seen it all in terms of me…) but I certainly have had everything from good, to «wow that wasnt bad at all» to hell no i will never return.
Brazilia is fairly priced, quick, clean and gets the job done. Additionally, they have TVs above the tables (which, if you are like me, you never watch because you’re a baby and watching Angela’s eyes for that slight flinch signaling she’s about to pull a strip). They use strip wax so the job is unbelievably thorough and quick as possible. They’ve got a great student discount (maybe i should go back to grad school) and simply have hit the formula correct in terms of service, speed, professionalism and skill.
All and all, a fine establishment and recommended to friends.
