Foot and Ankle Surgery. Dr Wood is board certified in Foot Surgery as well as Reconstructive Surgery of the Rearfoot and Ankle by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. He has extensive experience in ankle and foot arthroscopy, wound care, limb salvage, flatfoot and deformity correction. We also specialize in treating all aliments of the foot and ankle including bunions, hammertoes, bone spurs, heel pain, nerve pain, tendonitis, ingrown toenails, warts, fungus, walking disorders, clubfoot, pediatric foot conditions, and orthotics and braces.

Dr. Wood was born in Salt Lake City, UT and moved to Austin in 2012 from the Houston area where he has practiced for 4 years. After graduating from the University of Utah in 2001, he completed medical school at Des Moines University and residency training at St John North Shores in Detroit, MI.
Dr. Wood has extensive experience in treating heel pain, nerve pain, neuropathy, flatfeet, fractures, sports medicine injuries, diabetic care, wound care and limb salvage, ingrown toenails, warts, fungus, infections, and joint pain. Dr. Wood served as a Spanish translator at the children’s hospital while at the University of Utah, and is fluent in Spanish.
Dr. Wood’s focus is providing individualized care for his patients. He has special interest and training in deformity correction, arthroscopic surgery, and the use of PRP (platelet rich plasma) in the treatment of both chronic conditions and acute injuries.
