Brightwing Custom Crafted Exteriors

I used Brightwing Custom Crafted Exteriors back when they were known as Austin Hardi-​Pro. I was extremely satisfied with the work they did, our house still looks brand new from the outside.
The other week, I had a question regarding my siding, which was installed 3 years ago.
During an inspection by my exterminator, the exterminator told me that there was a gap between the siding and the foundation.
This was not due to any fault of Austin Hardi-​Pro. I live in an older home, and when the original siding on the home was installed, it also had the same issue.
I wrote Fran an email and he responded the very next day. Not only did he write back immediately, he came down to my house to examine the concern even though 3 years had passed since I had the work done.
He assured me that my siding was installed perfectly, but offered to pin the siding to the sill plate free of charge if I was concerned about the gap.
I decided against having it pinned down for aesthetic reasons, and ended up stuffing the gap with copper mesh.
It feels great to hire a contractor who takes pride in the quality of work they do, and is responsive to questions long after you’ve paid them.
If you’re looking for someone who’s fairly priced and offers high quality work, Fran is the man you want to get the job done!

These guys did a great job with my house. First, the crew replaced all of the windows including the sliding glass door. Next, they replaced all of the rotten wooden siding with fresh sheets of plywood and hung new hardie board. Once these were finished, the paint crew had the house done within 3 days. Fran, Manuel and the crew did a great job. They went as far as to bring in a drywall guy (Carlos) to fix a damaged area in the bathroom from the window installation. Everything went well. I wish I had a before picture to share for before and after realization.

Time was was on my side when we decided to find a contractor to replace our siding on our home. I had more then a half dozen bids before I came across Brightwing custom crafted exteriors. I can honestly say I pride myself on being a very smart shopper and educating myself before I make a move. Fran Carter was very professional and astute. He was able to point out concerns that no one else had, but ultimately had to be dealt with. We also had some carpentry that needed to be done with the job and Brightwing was equipped to handle that as well. I also learned after I called Brightwing that they recently completed a job on a senior Pastors home at a church we just started attending (the Pastor later shared with us how happy he was with Brightwings work as well). The bid came the very next day after Fran came came to check things out. It was itemized in a manner to appear very well thought out and complete. The price was fair for the level of quality that Fran was offering and the job was going to begin within the time frame that we desired. Every step and detail was explained up front and when the work began, Brightwing exceeded our expectations with prompt and organized work. The work site was kept clean and safe, the crew were friendly and extremely skilled. Fran checked in daily and talked with us, seeing to it that every detail was properly handled. Some unseen repairs had to be made but Brightwing had us covered. The price we paid was exactly what was written in the bid from the beginning. When the house was complete, we were simply amazed at such a transformation. The house (built in 1985) looks brand new and the craftsmanship appears flawless. If you are like me, replacing the siding on your house is not the reno project that fills your dreams. But the time when it has to be done comes anyway, and you find yourself wishing that a Siding Magician would just come, and wave a magic wand, and it would all be over.
Alas, there is no Siding Magician, but Fran and Brightwing Exteriors may be as close as it gets. The response to my first call was quick, a bid followed closely behind, and the job was started (and finished) the next week. The mess that taking old siding off two sides of a two-​story house created was kept under control, and the new siding looks great. Fran was in touch every day, and there was also an on-​site supervisor who could answer any questions that came up. One small problem came up after the job was finished; some cable wires were not fully reattached to the house, although everything inside was working. When I called Fran about this, he came out the same day, and the problem was rapidly fixed.
Until there is a Siding Magician, I highly recommend Brightwing.

When loved ones’ home needed major siding work, I was hesitant to reach out to anyone because the homeowner had done the all original construction work and we didn’t want any mistakes or oversights. Making these outreach calls was also stressful since we had no clue whom to contact and had made several (unsuccessful) research calls… until to Fran Carter with Bright Wing (also on Angie’s List)!
Fran created a thorough estimate, explained every charge and made every requested change to the initial estimate in a timely manner as well as explaining any questions along the way. Once the agreement was made, he and the excellent Bright Wing crew were efficient and had the entire job done within the agreed upon timeframe with minimal stress to the homeowners since they were able to stay in the home while the work was done.
Even with another crew already on site for a different job, Fran’s communication skills were excellent and very appreciated, since there could have been delays to either project or other mistakes in trying to coordinate but no problems here!
We could not be more pleased with the entire process and Fran’s final follow-​up to get this done right the first time and within budget! They have our eternal gratitude and any future business or referrals!

We have a 1950s home in Allandale that needed major exterior work — siding, roof, windows. My first call was to Brightwing Exteriors for a siding estimate. Fran came out and spent a great deal of time explaining the project and getting us a very detailed bid. He was knowledgeable and offered loads of ideas to help us come up with the project that fit our budget. Between the time that we signed the contract and the time the project started, he was in touch regularly about the projected start date and what to expect on day 1. During the project, he was in touch by phone or by text every day to let me know what to expect the following day and to check in to see if I was pleased with the crew and their workmanship or if I had any questions or concerns. Speaking of the crew, they couldn’t have been more courteous or hard-​working.
The workmanship and quality of the project from start-​to-​finish was excellent and we couldn’t be happier. To be honest, I’ve never had a better experience with a contractor and enthusiastically recommend Brightwing Custom Crafted Exteriors.

My husband and I needed siding replaced on our house and very quickly due to some areas of exposed holes and rotting wood so we reached out to multiple companies for a quote. We were not only looking for aggressive pricing, but somebody that could get the job done quickly and with the best craftsmanship. Fran came by the house and he was so thorough and explained everything so easily and nicely, I was just hoping his pricing would come out great too. Too our luck, his pricing beat everybody else (big names and small) by far!
Fran had his guys come out within days to start working and they pretty much worked from sun up, to sun down. We were surprised how quickly they finished the project! We have been doing major renovation work around our house and have been disappointed with all the other different contractors and such we’ve had to work with, so Brightwing was really a breath of fresh air! Fran and his team have been such a pleasure to work with.
After the siding was done, we even decided to add on exterior paint on our entire house as well as replacing a couple patio doors out back. It’s like we have a whole new house and it not only looks FANTASTIC, but we feel great about the work and the price. We plan on using Brightwing for any work around the house in the future that they can provide! Don’t go anywhere else!

Austin Hardi Pros just finished re-​doing the siding on our house and we have been very pleased with the entire process. Fran came out and did the bid, which was about the same price as a couple other competitors. We decided to go with him because he had done work in our neighborhood and I couldnt find a single bad review about their company online.
Fran was very involved and communicative throughout, making sure that we knew how things were going and what we needed to do. His crew did a great job, led by Mario, and worked very hard on the project. Each evening, when they finished, they would always tidy up the yard and sweep the patio and driveway where they were working.
Fran would either text or email me every day and generally stopped by in person several times a week to make sure everything was going ok. HE always made sure to make us aware of any issues and took care of them ASAP.
For instance, one day while I was at work, one of the workers somehow accidentally cracked one of our windows. Fran immediately texted me and told me they would take care of it with the glass company. the glass guy came out a couple days later and replaced it and Fran took care of everything. i understand that those mistakes can happen and it made me feel very confident that they took care of it no questions asked.
At the end of the job, we did a walk-​through with Fran to spot any last little things that needed to be done. Fran was pickier about his crews work than I was and spotting things I never would have noticed. I was impressed that he would go out of his way to make sure it was all done perfectly.
This was our first major work done to our house and we were very impressed with everyone in this company. I would highly recommend them to anyone who needs siding work done.

Austin Hardi-​Pros recently replaced all the siding and painted our 2-​story home and storage building. We are very pleased with the quality of work and our house looks great. Fran spent a lot of time with us to make sure we were satisfied. Everyone working on the project was so great to work with. They also had very competitive pricing compared to the other quotes we received. Austin Hardi-​Pros is highly recommended!

This is the second time I have used Austin Hardi-​Pros. Doug and Fran are great to work with. The first time I use them I thought that my project was too small but they did it with ease. This time we were replacing all of our windows and siding on the house. OMG the pricing was fantastic. My husband wanted a second quote so we checked around and found other siding/​window companies pricing were three or $ 4000 more than Austin Hardi-​Pros had quoted us. Austin Hardi-​Pros also provided credit so I didn’t have to go to the bank for small home improvement loan.
These guys were clean and efficient got the work completed on time… they cleaned up as they went along, there is no cleanup or painting needed on the inside of the windowsills after they were done, the windows look like they had always been there. I highly recommend using them. Very professional and clean team.

My husband and I could not have been more pleased with the quality and customer service we were given. From the very first phone call I could tell I was working with someone who cared about our project and what we were trying to do. Douglas graciously bent over backwards for us on more than one occasion. He made sure we got what we wanted and within our budget. (something others did not try and do)
He went over our different options and helped us choose the best hardi plank for our home. Our house looks incredible with the new siding.
