Capital Wedding Video

My husband and I wanted a simple video to remember out wedding by. The video Brian sent us was atrocious. The videographer did not capture how fun the wedding was. It was awful. We had to ask for raw footage so that we could get someone who takes pride in their work to fix it. It felt like they took our wedding and squeezed it through a «make wedding video» program and that was that. There was NO skill involved in the making of this video. I would never recommend them to anyone.

Let’s face it… We all know wedding’s aren’t cheap. My fiancé and I had been told by numerous people in our planning process that one of the things they are so happy they included in their wedding was a videographer. We quickly decided that this would be «nice» to have, but would have to go on our «want» list and not our «need» list. A couple of months out before the wedding, we discovered our budgeting had paid off and we were able to hire a videographer. I did a lot of research into companies, their pricing, and reviews and it quickly became apparent that CWV would give us a big bang for our buck. Our experience was fantastic from the very beginning. They were very quick to respond to our emails and were patient in answering all of our questions. On the day of our wedding, our videographer came early to set up. We hired him to include some pre-​ceremony time, ceremony, cocktail hour and special dances and toasts. I think one of the best compliments is that when we mentioned our videographer most of our guests responses were «I didn’t even know you had one! Where was he?» A great videographer is one that’s not even noticed… so that he can capture natural moments and interactions between people. This is exactly what he did! It was so exciting to watch our video. Photos are always special too, but the video allows us to see how people move and sound, which is something that we will treasure and hold on to, and share with future generations. Hired these guys for our wedding. Lots of promises, very little follow through. Brian acted like he was doing a favor meeting with us. We thought their price was a little high, yet Brian sold us on their quality and customer satisfaction being unmatched.
We told them exactly what we wanted. Day of the wedding, a different guy shows up than expected.
We were told they would have smooth editing and the video would look polished. We have nearly 25 minutes of unedited video during the reception with the wrong songs being played. Never told why.
We asked for our parents to be interviewed with their thoughts on marriage. Never happened. Never told why despite asking repeatedly.
Not to mention, after our frustration with not receiving answers and receiving a subpar product, we emailed Joe to receive a response as to why. Brian replied with a NASTY email addressing only concerns that he felt like addressing. Yet not even addressing those, but instead saying he didn’t know the answer on one issue he chose to address and blaming us for the other.
Poor customer service upfront, far far worse customer service after they get paid. After the event? Good luck!

Brian and Joe are always easy to work with and we love that they always take an audio feed from us to get the best possible audio for their wedding videos.

We hired Capital Wedding Video for our wedding in October 2010 after a thorough review of our options. In short, we were absolutely satisfied with their product and, most importantly, the level of service and professionalism they exhibited.
To start off, they are excellent with their responsiveness — both in speed and courtesy — despite our barrage of e-​mails with question after question. So when I actually went to visit their office, I wasn’t surprised to find that Brian and Joe are friendly and great to work with.
At our wedding, we had two cameras and a videographer. If we hadn’t had a wedding at night, we probably wouldn’t have noticed him. He was as discreet as he could be, and we never felt that he got in the way of anything.
When we reviewed the video, my wife and I loved it! We were able to check out a bunch of scenes from the wedding that we didn’t get to see at the time, and the video was excellently put together so as to transition smoothly from scenes to scenes. Overall, it was great editing work and we are excited to show it to our parents.
The service and quality of product definitely puts their work over the top, and the price was on the lower end of our other options — so that’s just icing on the [wedding] cake.

I was thrilled to find Capital Wedding Video was available for our daughter’s wedding at Horseshoe Bay Resort. Joe arrived and set up the two cameras and the microphones — and captured all the original music used in the wedding and all the speakers — in an outdoor setting! The video was experted edited with music either created during the ceremony or with music we selected and we could not be more happy with the results. We now have a perfect record of this special day — and will enjoy watching it for years to come.
