I’ve lived in the area since 1998 — this used to be a great place, with friendly staff and everything working the way it’s supposed to… now, not so much. One of the pumps has been out of service for at least a year. Last week, they only had super unleaded gas available(cha-ching and no thanks). They no longer offer a car wash discount when you fill-up. The car wash credit card reader has not worked properly the last few times I’ve been there. This is really unfortunate while at the payment machine and stuck between two cars — one already in the car wash and another in line behind you. The air hose machine for tires takes your money and doesn’t work. The staff won’t give a refund because, «It’s not our machine.» Buuuut, it’s on your property and your customers are using it, so could you at least put an «Out of Order» sign on it? And maybe put a «Please Pay Inside» sign on your car wash payment machine as well? So why have I put up with their crap for so long? Because per my mechanic’s recommendation, I only use gasoline with Techron in my cars. Apparently, Chevron and Texaco are the only stations with Techron. The Brodie Food Mart used to have a Texaco, but now it’s a Conoco. The Chevron on Manchaca and Davis is now a Shell. So, my neighborhood options are disappearing. However, I’ve heard Shell has their own version of a Techron additive in their gasoline, but they just can’t call it «Techron,» since it’s trademarked to Chevron-Texaco. Whatever– I mainly wanted to write this review to warn others of what to expect at this particular Chevron location — plan accordingly and good luck!

This chevron is super convenient in my opinion. It is decently easy to get and out of. The store is a bit small so your selections are limited. I have pulled in here plenty of times when I am headed out to Mopac and need to grab something quick. The staff is friendly as well. Is it the best gas station around? — no, but it will do when it is needed because it is so convenient.
