History

Established in 2004.

CJD custom carpentry and remodeling was first started in Scotland by Chris Duncanson. Chris has been a carpenter since 1996 when he started he was 16 and has been doing it ever since. CJD custom carpentry and remodeling then moved to New Jersey where it flourished for nearly three years. They have now arrived in Austin and are taking the city by storm with innovation, great designs and a unique work ethic and being Scottish brings a European skill set mixed with modern ideas and american techniques. Chris is a true Scotsman. He has the accent to prove it. Chris served a tradition carpentry apprenticeship when he was 16 which lasted 4 years and taught him how to survive in the world of construction. He has worked in Scotland, England, Boston, New Jersey and now Austin. Working in so many different areas really gave him a super wide skill set. Chris really love carpentry and has honed his skills over the years. Fine carpentry an fine home building are his passion and he is happy to be able to build People dreams and desires in their homes.
