History

Established in 2008.

Collins Endodontics was founded by Dr. Jake Collins in 2008. We are an endodontic specialty practice dedicated to exceptional care using state-​of-​the-​art technology. Each patient will receive exceptional care, utilizing the most current treatment techniques in our advanced facilities.

A native of Texas, Dr. Collins was born in Houston. After relocating to Missouri with his family, Dr. Collins earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology at the University of Missouri. Following his undergraduate studies, Dr. Collins graduated with a Master of Science degree in Cellular and Molecular Biology. Dr. Collins continued his education, graduating from the University of Missouri-​Kansas City School of Dentistry with his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. Following graduation, Dr. Collins completed a two-​year advanced training program at Saint Louis University where he received his certificate in Endodontics. Dr. Collins’ is dedicated to treating patients with respect and compassion, while providing the necessary care for their dental needs. He enjoys attending numerous courses throughout the year. Dr. Collins is a member of the Texas Dental Association (TDA), American Dental Association (ADA), & American Association of Endodontists (AAE).

Dr. Collins is a life saver. From a previous root canal that became infected over 7 years ago, my general dentist recommended an apicoectomy or extraction. I truly had been preparing myself to accept that I was about to lose another tooth on the opposite side. I went to Dr. Collins expecting he would recommend the same thing and he actually saved the crown and tooth. He found another canal in the tooth that the previous guy missed. He not only saved my tooth but also saved my crown! Best news ever!
He is extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and sets you up with virtual reality glasses to watch movies throughout the procedure. 5 stars for sure! I would highly recommend him for your next root canal.
PS: Carly at the front desk is awesome and so is his dental assistant Nelta! Best service ever! Thanks everyone!

I am very happy with Dr Collins. I’ve had a root canal before and this time was so much better. He’s very thorough with his work and surprisingly less pain than what I’ve had in the past. He has a modern office and does a great job explaining everything as he goes. You can also watch a movie if you choose to. I was referred to Dr Collins from my dentist and I can’t thank them enough for it. It already sucks having to get a root canal so at least make sure it’s someone that does it well.

I truly had been preparing myself to accept that I was about to lose the tooth. I went to Dr. Collins as a hail mary effort and as it turns out he was able to completely salvage the tooth!
He is extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and sets you up with virtual reality glasses to watch movies throughout the procedure. 5 stars for a 5 star job. I would highly recommend him for your next root canal.

Dr. Collins looks like he graduated from college last Tuesday. If he could bottle that, he’d be a frillionaire, but sadly for the rest of us, it must just be good genes and clean living, because — to my complete shock — he’s actually been a dentist for a very long time. Do not let his fountain-​of-​youth appearance put you off… I admit, I was a little nervous going to someone who looked like they must be brand new at it. Apparently he was a general dentist before going back to specialize in endodontics, and he’s extremely skilled at what looks just comically difficult. While no one enjoys a root canal, Dr. Collins does it as quickly and comfortably as possible. His office is clean and modern, they offer movie glasses and his staff is great. If you have to have a root canal, this is your best option.

The best dentist for root canal! You can not be wrong to go with him.
I had two root canals over the last two years with Dr. Collins. They all last well. One teeth was rotten with almost 1⁄3 gone, he still managed to keep the teeth with some post implanted. He is very knowledgeable and knows what he is doing, and he does it precisely and quick. He would explain each step he does, and print out the pictures to show you the difference. Very nice environment, you may choose to watch movies during the process, nice assistant with comforting smiles all the time. And Dr. Collins really cares about his patient, even after one year, he gave me free recalls to check the work, and even helped to fix some disturbing crown for free too! Hope he was a general dentist too, my colleagues in the whole office would like to visit him every half year then :)

I was referred to Dr. Collins two times, and both times I have had a good experience. The last time I was there, I had severe pain in my lower jaw that spread up my ear. Dr. Collins cleared space in his schedule to fit me in right away (I am very grateful for this). I am not sure if he will do this in all cases of severe pain, but I am sure that if he can, he will make a good effort at fitting you in.
At the last visit, he suggested that we wait a couple of weeks to see if the pain was due to a recent filling, rather than pursuing a root canal right away. He also suggested some pain killers to ease the pain. Within a few days, the pain was completely gone, he was right!
He really looks at solving the problem, and he really listens to the type of pain you’re having. I highly recommend others to see him if you have problems with your roots.

I was referred to another clinic but my insurance was out of network. What a relief, that Dr. Collin was in network. I’m a very anxious dental patient. Like everyone else it isn’t my favorite past time. But from the moment I walked into the clinic was a great experience. Kim (front desk) is very knowledgable, caring and funny. She makes you feel like she has known you for years. Nelta (dental assistant), is funny, warm, sincere, welcomes you with great passion. Dr. Collin (dentist) youthful, experienced, knowledgable, kind, excellent chair side manner, thorough, leaves no questions unturned, professional. What a great experience. The clinic is very clean, high tech, and a beautiful view of the hillsides from the chair. You’ll have to go and see for yourself. Price of treatment is exceptional and very reasonable for the excellent treatment you receive. You won’t be disappointed… check’em out!!!

Dr. Collins is very kind and thorough. I was referred by my regular dentist who I had just gotten comfortable with… so, I was a little nervous, but the whole staff helped put me at ease. Dr. Collins has some excellent state of the art Technology and helped understand what was going on all through the treatment.

Dr. Collins is great.
He is thorough, smart, communicates well, cares, uses technology to help the patient… what else do you want in an endodontist? I signed up for Unilocal just so that I could give him 5 stars.
