Tried calling for an appointment for a living social deal, couldnt get through with constantly filled mailbox. Tried emailing, no response. Was planning to just head over but saw this in time :
Looks like the place is shut down !

Living Social will refund your money if you tell them this place has gone out of business – which I think it has. If you don’t return my calls or my emails, and your online booking system has been disabled, then I’m considering you out of business.
And if they’re not, they should be. Most unprofessional place I’ve ever experienced.

I too got the Google deal but just received the email from Google Deals that they canceled the deal and refunded me my money because Complete Wellness could no longer except the deal.
When a company can’t handle the influx of customers and fail to address these concerns promptly, this will reflect their reputation despite the claims of good service (sort these reviews by date and you’ll notice the last time a good review came through was several months ago by a coupon deal… what happened between then and now??).

I bought a groupon for a massage here. I have called three times over the past several months and left messages here. No one ever called me back, and now my groupon is expired. When I called today their voicemail mailbox was full. I decided to try booking online, even though I wanted to talk to someone about the expired groupon, but the link to book online isn’t working.
I read that many other people are having this same problem… it isn’t right to sell someone something and then not follow through on the order. I intend to report them to groupon.

Just a little update. Still no luck with this ****ing place. Was without a doubt, scammed! Anndd living social wont refund my money… somehow Complete Wellness is totally getting away with this?! Over 100 bucks out the window! :(Makes me sick.

I have also tried multiple times to get someone by phone or email since purchasing a Groupon on December 28^th. No one has EVER called back. The kicker is that I gave this couples massage to my boyfriend for his birthday. Such a bummer.
Do everyone a favor and ask your coupon website for your money back AND write another opinionated review on here. They are clearly scammers, and are getting away with it somehow!
What’s going on here? Are Joel and all of the other staff on drugs? Throwing away everything? Pissing everyone off? Ruining their own business? If I were any of the therapists listed on this website, I would remove my name immediately for fear of being publicly ostracized. They are clearly scamming people. Here’s a hint, Complete Wellness: to clean up this HUGE mess, you have to start somewhere — answer some emails, kiss some ass, apologize, respond to reviews. Your biz is goin’ down, Bro

This place is completely unresponsive. I purchased three groupons and have only been able to redeem one. I have called several times, and no ones answers. It asks you to leave a voicemail, but the mail box is full. It’s has happened to me about 6 times now on completely different days. When I am able to leave a voicemail, no one returns my calls. I try to email instead, and no one calls back.
It’s place is completely unprofessional. I almost think its a scam and plan to call groupon to get my money back.

I’ve Been trying to call Complete Wellness for over two weeks now, once a day, and I have yet to be able to get a hold of someone real.
I have been to Complete Wellness in 2012, and when I showed up for my appointment, I was told that they double-​booked, even though I have e-​mail confirmation of the schedule. I was told that it is probably just a computer glitch, it should not happen again. Massage was good, no issue there.
Fast-​forward to this year (2013), I have made two appointments online and received e-​mail confirmation, yet the online site still says «pending confirmation», which is why I have been trying to call them to confirm on the appointment… yet I cannot get a hold of them.
Now, as of 1÷29÷2013, it appears that the Online booking link is dead! Can’t even book or view the status of the appointment any more.
I am not even sure if Complete Wellness is still open???

I bought a Groupon for a massage for 2. My friend and I went on separate days and had different people and were both disappointed. My MT was nice but 1) talked the entire time, 2) did NOT do what I asked and 3) did what I asked her NOT to do. I do not, in fact, I hate head and neck massages, I find it uncomfortable and often painful during and after. Also I just wanted her to focus on my back, that is all. I’m a nurse = sore back always. In a nutshell, she started on my neck and then remembered «oh, you said not the neck», then proceeded to my feet, then I got about 10 minutes of back no where in the region where I told her my problems were and legs. Afterwards, I had a 24hr headache and sore neck for 3 days. She seemed like a nice person which is why I’m giving 2 starts. I gave her a great tip even though I left more tense and sore than I arrived.
Other notes: I arrived and I got a different massage therapist than the one I made the appt with, you have to leave a voicemail when you call, it took days to get a reply phone call to make an appt, the place is a little hard to find.
I used to go to Massage Envy but wanted to give small local spas some business too.

This was the worst experience I’ve EVER had. Upon arrival, I noticed the place wasn’t very clean… at all, but I figured, maybe the the massage would be great (appearances can be deceiving), but no! The massuse, Joel, had no front teeth and wore a stained t-​shirt. He didn’t wear shoes during my massage and he smelled like cigarettes. To top it off, he was horrrriiibbblleee. I honestly do not believe he is a real massage therapist! He also touched my feet and then my face after! Without cleaning his hands. Also he kept breathing on me and had terrible terrible breath (like vomit). I went home feeling dirty.

Used a Living Social deal for a discounted massage. My hamstrings and quads were sore from deadlifting a few days ago at the gym. My masseur was Hanna and she was pleasant and chatty but not too much. Overall she did a good job as I asked for medium pressure and the experience was a good stress/​tension reliever. Nothing more and nothing less

Went here after having purchased their Groupon that was offered months back and decided it was about high time I get some stress relief.
I carry a great deal of tension in my shoulders and neck. Working exclusively on microscopes for the majority of my day lends itself to having cramped shoulders and pain in the muscles in my neck.
I have to admit, hands down, I got probably the best massage ever from Danielle this afternoon. Girl’s got talent and she loves what she does. It’s very obvious she enjoys her job. I only wish all masseuses can be as energetic and enthusiastic as she was.
Personally, I don’t believe in lavishing copious amounts of money on myself. Call it… the penny pinchin’ Asian side of me that was instilled from a Mom who used to stockpile ketchup packets for the apocalypse. But man, it’s hard not to want to go and sign up for another massage. It had just the perfect mix of massage, reflexology, and she popped so many little joints and bones here and there. *drool*
It was just the perfect amount of pressure and I love, love, LOVE it when they massage your scalp and your hair. I also could literally feel her kneading my knots in my back and shoulders away. Just thinking about it makes my toes curl. I just wanted to hug her and scream at the top of my lungs that I found her first.
Ask for Danielle! You won’t be disappointed!

Okay, I’ve had over 15 massages with Joel, and I’ve read all the reviews, positive and negative.
First of all, Joel has EXCELLENT technique and fantastic strength coupled with uncanny touch. Every review mentions this, even the negative ones.
He can find the knot in 2 seconds flat. I go for deep tissue massage to address multiple fractures from an idiot in a Silverado who slammed into me on my bicycle, and he works to get my muscles around the fracture sites to release. I ALWAYS feel better after he works on me. He has a lot of experience with cyclists and runners-​atheletes in general.
As for the drapping-​women run the whole gamut on whether someone drapes well or not– I think he is professional and draps fine. Anyway, logically, if Joel wasn’t a total professional, he wouldn’t be in business.
PS– Many massage therapists totally coast to try to not have to work hard-​Joel gives you your money’s worth every time, even after a whole day of massages (mine are often end of day massages).Definitely my one and only therapist.

I had a massage from Laura today… and she was awesome!
I had some tension in my lower back and left leg that had been bothering me for about a week and now it feels like its all gone!

Joel was great. Very profession and spent the time and effort to get all my knots out of my shoulders.
It wasn’t the fanciest place I’ve been to but I didn’t go there to look at the pretty pictures on the wall. I went to get a great massage and got just that!
The music was relaxing, the temperature perfect, massage great. :)

I don’t understand the 4-​star rating of this place.
First visit: Massage was good, but HIGHLY indiscreet draping was used by Joel in conjunction with moving legs (I think another reviewer had the same experience). He made a quip about me being very stiff and in my mind I was thinking «how else would I be with this terrible draping?». The massage, however, was technically good.
Second visit: I kept shorts on and it was a good call. Joel walked in and I pointed out where I was hurting. Without any warning he went straight at the spot and pressed down hard. If he had even glanced at my file, he would have known I have injuries due to which I cannot take direct pressure at certain locations on my back. After a few moments he pressed hard on my spine again and I told him not to. At that point, he gave me a smug smile and said «Sometimes I forget how strong I am.». Perhaps he should have said «Sometimes I forget to read people’s charts and slam into their injuries».
It took me three weeks to recover from the pain caused by this massage. I called and left a voicemail that I would be unable to make the appointment for the third massage because I was in serious pain after the last one. I got an automated email that my appointment was canceled, with no call back or enquiry about my condition.
No more coupon massages for me.

I was around 8-​months pregnant (April 2010) when I saw the Living Social deal for this place, and the idea of a Pregnancy Massage sounded like heaven. Bought the deal and immediately setup my appointment. Online, the website looked very fancy-​shmancy-​spa-​like, and the bios for each masseuse sounded impressive, so I thought, what’ve I got to lose?
As all movies have taught us, the character who asks that question always ends up getting screwed. I should’ve known to walk away, especially after seeing all the warning signs (but darn it, Living Social! I’d already paid you!).
Bad Sign #1: The ambiance — An office.
Bad Sign #2: The bathroom — dingy, complete with muted yellow lighting.
Bad Sign #3: I was offered water in a coffee mug.
Bad Sign #4: The oils and lotions were all labeled ‘Bath & Body Works.’
Then came the massage. I was actually expecting a table with a big hole in the center for my belly, since I’ve had other friends get pregnancy massages before at other places, and that’s what they were given to lie on. I, however, was told to lie on my side, with a big body-​pillow between my legs. If you can imagine how awkward a beached whale might look and feel, now imagine it turned on its side, flippin’ and flounderin’ about. That’s about how I felt the entire time. At the end, for the neck and shoulder massage, I was told to lie on my back, and then awkwardly raise my upper-​body (but «relax» at the same time) so that Joel could massage the area.
It was the most uncomfortable and awkward massage I’d ever received, and my neck and shoulders were aching and sore the next day. Yes, I was pregnant. That’s why I scheduled an appointment for the «Pregnancy Massage.» I’ll give Joel credit for being very nice and professional. Thank you! But as far as massages go, I’ll be looking for mine elsewhere.

I purchased 2 Living Social coupons for 50% off massage and thought I would give this place a try. They used to operate through Excelon Health and they also have another website:

For background information, you should know that I developed a repetitive motion injury several years ago and have had massage from over 20 professionals (male and female) in 4 states, so I base my review with that mind. Also, keep in note that I completely disrobe.
My first massage was with Joel McQueen. He is a very skilled masseuse, but with 12 years of licensed massage experience, I was shocked and deeply discomforted with his ‘draping’ policy. When he raised the sheet to work on my thighs, he left the sheet loose and sloppy. In an attempt to stretch out my lumbar and upper thigh muscles, he did a stretching move with my legs that further exacerbated the very sloppy draping he used.
I feel (and certainly hope and pray) that he didn’t mean any malicious intent, and again, I will say that he seemed very skilled in technique. However, I felt extremely uncomfortable and creeped out, and I felt that, at best, his draping practices are extremely unprofessional, especially when working with someone of the opposite sex.
I have other small complaints that may only be related to my preferences, so I have deleted them…

So many reasons to marry rich but massages are definitely one of them. Nothing like one hour of pure bliss listening to instrumental Beatles music and relaxing. I usually don’t splurge on things like this because I spend all of my money on booze (alcoholic?), however a recent Living Social deal came up and I jumped on it.
Natasha was great! The regular prices are just on key with what everyone else charges and it was easy to get an appointment.
If you are one of those lucky bitches who gets to spoil herself regularly, give this place a try. It is definitely more homely than other places but could result in you feeling more comfortable about that whole, «lay down and take your clothes off» thing. ha.
