History

Established in 1999.

In 1987 Dr. Cordoba joined Austin Regional Clinic where he participated in direct patient care in mental health issues, as well as providing Consultation-​Liaison services to primary care and specialty physicians. In 1999, Dr. Cordoba began his solo private practice, continuing to serve the Austin community.

Dr. Cordoba provides adult psychiatric services. Being a Texas native, he is fluent in Spanish and has practiced psychiatry in Austin for the past 24 years. He completed his pre-​med studies at the University of Texas at El Paso, earning a Bachelor of Science Degree and received his medical degree from the UACJ School of Medicine in Mexico. Dr. Cordoba completed his internship and residency training at Texas Tech University Health Science Center School of Medicine where he served as Chief Resident. He was also on the residency staff at the Illinois State Psychiatric Institute in Chicago, Illinois.

At the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas, he completed a fellowship in Consultation-​Liaison Psychiatry later serving as an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry and head of the Consultation-​Liaison Department.
