My name is Cory, but my friends call me Coco. I am a recent hula hoop addict, and I play bass in the indie-​pop band Hollywood Gossip. But most importantly, I am one of the luckiest gals on the planet because I get to wake up every morning and do my favorite thing in the world — take pictures.

My husband and I booked Cory for our wedding this past Spring. She was AMAZING! I knew she was a great photographer from her blog, website, and other reviews. You can just tell she has an amazing eye for color, composition, style, and FUN!
Well, we were super impressed with her on the day of our wedding. She was a joy to talk to and meet with before the day, so I thought she would be good, but you never really know until the day of. She is around the same price as other good photographers in the area, a little pricey but WELL worth it. Why would you hire some cut rate photographer for your wedding day? It is the one thing I was sure I wanted to be amazing, since all of our friends and family were there.
Anyways, she showed up promptly on the day, knew the site well (Hotel Saint Cecilia), and went straight to work. She kept us on time without being pushy, as we were missing some of our family members to start taking pictures. She was thorough but not in our way at all. Its hard to explain but we didn’t feel like someone was in our face or altering what we wanted to do at all. She was there for every moment and captured all of the important events.
And, the pictures were awesome! We are so happy to have hired Cory for our wedding and I am sure we will hire her in the future for other photoshoot needs :)

Cory Ryan is hands down the best photographer in Austin! She is so easy to work with, super organized and has amazing ideas! From the very beginning she made sure she understood the vision my husband and I had. In fact, she made it a priority. She’s fun-​loving, energetic and makes the process super fun. She also makes you feel comfortable and always makes you laugh! We couldn’t have been happier with how both our engagement photos and wedding photos turned out. What I loved is while she had so many of her own amazing ideas she was always open to new ideas. It’s obvious her number one priority is making the couple happy. If you’re looking for a modern photographer with pictures that are clean and crisp and sharp – she’s your gal! We couldn’t believe how many compliments we received on our photos. She always knows how to use the light to make you look as good as you possibly can on the big day-​both natural light and when using a flash. She’s easy to talk to and always gets back to you right away when trying to get in touch with her. I would highly recommend her – you won’t be disappointed!

Cory recently shot our maternity photos and she made it such a special moment for me and my husband! My hubby and I have been together for 12 years and never really had great photos taken of us (hired a friend to take pics at our wedding so those weren’t that great). So, to have such a professional and talented photographer like Cory was so awesome. She gave us the direction we needed while letting our personalities shine. We enjoyed every moment of it and highly recommend her!

What can I say about Cory that hasn’t already been mentioned on here? Of course she has 5 starts all the way, I wish there were more stars to give her. She truly is amazing and such a happy person. She doesn’t seem to stress-​ever. She is highly recognized with lots of wedding vendors and wins a ton of awards, just visit her website and you’ll know! She is great with colors! If you want vivid colorful photos, then she’s your girl. She captures candid moments and isn’t into the posey type photos. My husband and I hired her for our engagement and wedding photos and she was great. She gives you some direction in terms of poses, but not a whole lot. So be creative! She’s a professional and that’s exactly what you need for such an important day. She asks for every detail in her questionnaire that she sends to all her clients a few months/​weeks before the big day, I appreciate that. She is truly above and beyond!

I can’t say enough about Cory Ryan — she is FABULOUS to work with and has the most amazing pictures. When selecting a photographer I knew I wanted someone who was a little more creative than the standard wedding pictures while still capturing the classic wedding moments. We found that in Cory’s work and couldn’t be happier with all of our photos. She is fun to work with, makes you feel comfortable immediately, is creative and very personable.
One of the other things we loved about Cory is her albums and other products. They are so creative, lively and very well made with attention to the finest details. We now have works of art out of our pictures that we can put on our coffee table etc. Her quality is the absolute finest and it shows in her end product.
Overall Cory was extremely easy to work with from day one. She was very clear with her contract and flexible with customizing the package to what best fit what we wanted and our budget. She was quick to respond to anything that we needed and very thorough in her own information gathering to make sure she captured our wedding as we wanted. All of her staff and supporting photographers were incredibly professional and talented. I cannot recommend Cory Ryan enough! I can honestly say all the pictures from engagement photos to the wedding were a blast!
Now the challenge is to figure out which photos will make our wedding album… there are too many good ones!

We could not be happier with the images Cory Ryan captured of our destination wedding in Park City, Utah! Despite having never photographed a wedding in the snow, Cory’s pictures turned out beautifully and we have received rave reviews from everyone who has seen them. She was great at keeping us on our schedule and managed to fit in all the photos we wanted on a very tight timeline! If you are considering having a destination wedding, I would highly recommend using Cory — she went out of her way to scout out the perfect locations for all of our photo sessions, and we probably actually got more creative photos using someone new to the area than if we had chosen a photographer who shoots in Park City every weekend!

My wife and I booked Cory to be our wedding photographer this past April at the One World Theater. We also used her for a photo shoot the day before during our rehearsal dinner. The photos from both days came out amazing. Cory has a way of capturing the event as it truly unfolded. She is a real artist. Her shots are vivid– compelling and draw the viewer in. So many of our family and friends have commented on the photos from that weekend saying that they were unlike any set of wedding photos they had ever seen. Most of her shots would fall into the «candid» category, but there is nothing amateur about them. They are really spectacular in technique– her photos do a wonderful job conveying the energy and emotion that was happening that night. Quite simply, she is an absolute professional and an amazing photographer. My wife and I were so incredibly lucky to have booked her for our wedding.
Separate from the amazing photos you are going to get from Cory she also is a wonderful person to work with. My wife and I were really nervous about planning our wedding from out of town, but Cory was so easy to work with it really put us at ease.

Cory Ryan captured every moment and through her photographs I am now able to relive my wonderful memories by her amazing photographs. I am so pleased with every single photo she took, her color and lighting are amazing.
When hiring a photographer a lot of times people don’t take into account that on your special day you will be spending a lot of time with that person so its imperative that your photographer is someone who can make you feel comfortable. Cory is such a sweet easy going gal, yet an extremely professional wedding photographer, with those two attributes you have yourself the most awesome wedding photographer!

Cory photographed our newborn in the hospital a day after she was born. We are thrilled with the photos she took and had prints made immediately for all our family members. When she came to the hospital we had friends and family over and she captured some amazing shots. I wasn’t even aware as she moved throughout the room and just seemed to intuitively know when to take the shot. She was incredibly professional and I cannot recommend her enough for her creative vision. On top of that, she’s just a really great person!

We hired Cory Ryan to shoot our wedding photos and it was one of the best decisions we made. She was very professional and super easy to work with. I was concerned that I wouldn’t be photogenic or be uncomfortable in front of the camera and Cory made us both feel so at ease. She got all of the family shots, and a few special requests despite being tight on time. At the ceremony and reception we hardly knew she was there yet she managed to get literally every candid shot and special moment.
My favorite part about Cory’s photos is how vivid they are, we loved the way she captured the colors along with the special non-​posed moments. Cant say enough good things about working with her. Highly recommend!

I hired Cory as the official photographer at the Interactive Austin Conference in 2008 and again in 2009. She is very professional but also very personable which is exactly what we needed at this event. It was a laid back atmosphere and we wanted photos of the panels and speakers as well as casual photos of conversations. I gave her a list of specific things I wanted shot and she also came up with some great ideas in addition to that.

my then fiancé, now wife, hired cory to shoot some engagement photos for us — you know, the kind you see in the society pages of the NYT. it was hot as all get out outside, but you’d never know it from the photos. you can’t see a drop of sweat on either of us. i don’t consider myself a handsome man, but cory made me look good. my wife is very picky about how she looks in photos, and she was thrilled with how cory made every side her good side.
we were so pleased with her work on the engagement photos, we hired her to do our wedding too. she was perfectly prepared and 100% professional. she was always in the right place to get the right picture, but never in the way. during the post-​ceremony, pre-​reception family & attendant shots, she was sweet and patient with the unruly crowds that are our families. she knew exactly what we wanted, and when we were at a loss, she told us what would work best. and boy, was she right! the proof is in the pudding. the final wedding shots are amazing. she captured the love and the beauty of the reception, its guests, and its surroundings. she even turned down offers to have a drink until after she was done and the reception was over! that is a level of professionalism higher than most i know.
i would recommend cory whole heartedly. book her now, ’cause she’s so good, she’s bound to be busy.
