I have to say that the more I come to this place the more I really like it & appreciate their food. It was a Saturday night during football playoff games so it was crazy busy, however we waited at the bar & ordered a round of drinks & by the time we got our drinks our buzzer went off so we didn’t wait too long considering how busy they were. The waitress was on fleek & very informative I thought, I wish I could remember her name but anywho we had great service & our food was great!!! We starter off with the lettuce wraps which I forgot to get a pic but omg they were so good. Next time I will order that for my full entrée. The BF enjoyed his bunless burger and I had the awesome burrito which was a huge serving got a doggy bag for the rest of it and it was better the next day! I heard cover 2 was coming to Round Rock, I can’t wait!!!

Easy as pie — we grabbed some seats at the bar, the service and the drinks were both great. The bartender checked on us regularly. No complaints here! Great atmosphere for watching your favorite games on the large televisions that are hanging around throughout the establishment.

This is simply an awesome spot. It’s a sports bar with amazing food. This doesn’t happen too often. Our waiter Mallory did a great job. As well as Heather who brought out our food. Big Tex burger with Queso = amazing!

I’ve been to Cover 2 three times with coworkers for lunch. The food is always outstanding and the service has always been superb. I can think of nothing negative to say. A couple tips: If you are going for lunch, try to arrive by 11:30 to get the best seats. You have GOT to try Matt’s chili. Order it all the way with Longhorn Cheddar, Onions, and cilantro. So delicious!

Always delicious! The atmosphere is awesome. Get there early if you’re planning on watching football because it’s always packed. I love sitting at the bar or one of the big six tops in front of all the TVs. They have a Bloody Mary bar on Sunday’s for brunch!

Great neighborhood bar with better food than most. Prices are reasonable, and you can save a bit during happy hour or Monday/Tuesday for all day happy hour prices. Lots of TVs around the place, so you can usually see any game that is on. We go here to watch whatever game is on since we don’t have cable. Service is usually quick and attentive. There might be a short wait during prime dinner time, but I’ve never had to wait more than 15 minutes. The beer selection is good(lots of local drafts, some seasonals) and they have higher end liquor for cocktails. The menu has lots of the same items as Cover 3, without some of the fish and larger entrée dishes. Burgers are pretty big, salads are fresh, and lots of good options for sharing. My favorites include the beef tenderloin sliders(opt for the Swiss cheese add on) and the brick chicken mac and cheese. The wings are also good. Larger and more tender than most wing places. The menu varieties are dry rubs, but they do have a different special wing every day. My only real complaint is the lack of window coverings that can block the setting sun. During dinner, there are a few seats that are right in the path of the setting sun and can be uncomfortable without sunglasses. They do have sun shades, but they aren’t thick enough to block the sun in those spots. You may want to pay attention to that when being seated.

We go here quite often. Wife loves the nachos, they are non traditional but have a great flavor. I usually get wings and salad which are both good. The fish tacos are really good. The enchiladas are a winner also. They have an adventurous brunch that looks really good. I always get the bloody Mary bar when available, nice selection of mixs and ingredients. Service has always been prompt and attentive.

One of my favorite happy hour joints. Excellent drinks and I’ve never ordered anything that I didn’t love. I suggest the nachos.

A good mix of fun and dining. Sports on TV and families and friends enjoying a good time The layout is comfortable. The staff is all very nice. Servers are quick and attentive. The food is really good. And not overpriced. Ordered lettuce wraps. Plenty of meat to match the amount of lettuce. Also ordered a salad that I can remember the name of but it had nuts and berries and blue cheese and lots of chicken, I rarely get a $ 15 salad and am satisfied with what they bring. This was fantastic. Ordered a chilli bowl, lots of meat very tasty!!! Plenty of onions and chives and cheese. Very good! Will definitely be back to try their drinks, they had an extended list and good happy hour prices too. Cheers!!! Oh did I mention there was ample parking?

Consistently good food, service and beer. Not that hard really. Provide hot tasty meals, a passable beer selection(doesn’t change much but it’s a good tap wall) and friendly service and I’ll come back again and again. And I do. Unilocal tells me I check in here a lot, and there is a reason. Chief behind the bar remembers my name, and there are enough TVs to distract or attract as desired. Shrimp Enchiladas draw me in, but the Ribs are also great, as are the Chicken Tinga Enchiladas & Quesadilla. Solid choice in NW Austin.

This is a sports bar. So it’s only fair to compare this place to other sports bars. With that in mind, I give Cover 2 a solid 4 stars based upon their superior food quality and welcoming atmosphere, even for people like myself who(mostly) could care less about watching sports. The décor is clean and modern without the dusty, kitschy flair one might expect from a suburban joint where bros can gather to watch the big game. The menu has a variety of options beyond burgers & wings, but of course they carry those classics, too. I usually enjoy one of the huge salads topped with seafood of some kind, or maybe the grilled trout entrée. My special friend loves the burgers, but he’s just as likely to order one of the many TexMex influenced plates or even the beef tenderloin sliders. My son loves the fresh & homemade kids’ chicken strips with shoestring fries, prepared without heavy/spicy seasoning on the chicken(a mistake many other restaurants seem to make with scratch-made chicken strips for children). Brunch(11a-3p on both Sat & Sun) is a great time to visit if you’re looking for a smaller crowd. The $ 4 Bloody Mary bar includes a plethora of topping options including plump, tender boiled shrimp(which can make this beverage a full on appetizer if you’re thrifty & creative with toothpicks). Stuffed brioche French toast($ 8) and eggs tournedos($ 13) — so good! Yeah, I said I don’t really care about watching sports, but sometimes I do, like when the U.S. National swimming competition is happening in San Antonio during the same week that the FINA World Championships are happening in Russia. It was pretty cool that we could sit and eat a great meal while watching 2 different swim meets on big screens, with American swimmers Katie Ledecky and Michael Phelps setting new world records at both events. Other diners were enjoying football, golf, wakeboarding, and I don’t even know what all else… Cover 2 has 26 big screens with broadcasts from the following sports channels in addition to the regular major networks; they do not show Pay Per View events at this time: Longhorn Network ESPN Game Plan NFL Sunday Ticket MLB Extra Innings Fox Sports 1 Golf Channel MLB Network NBC Sports Network NHL Network CBS Sports Network NBATV NFL Network ESPN ESPN2 ESPN U Fox Sports SW Fox Sports 2 beIN SEC Network

I first discovered Cover 3. Their burger, the Chophouse, is on Texas monthly’s top 50 burgers from a few years back. They eventually refurbished the local hooters and created Cover 2. Being only 5 – 7 minutes from my house, it’s probably my favorite dinner spot close to my house. Z Tejas is even closer, but I’d pick Cover 2 any day of the week. I’ve tried a ton of stuff on the menu and I’ve never been unhappy! Great place!!!

I love the buffalo chicken sliders and burger. The service is always good here and pretty fast. There are tons of Tvs(think sports bar) but it is not a grungy manly one, it’s nice and the food is really good. Salads haven’t always been consistent but overall good food. Fun place for HH. One complaint is it’s always cold in there, being a jacket ladies.

I don’t even remember why we ended up at this place. Food is average nothing too exciting. We shared some chicken nachos that were alright. I felt like there was something missing but they were still edible. I had gotten a salad also that had goat cheese, candied walnuts and apples. Again decent salad not very exciting. I felt like the walnuts were kind of stale. Our server was great. She was friendly and helpful but then towards the end she disappeared for a long period of time. My husband was waiting for his last beer and we were waiting to pay and it took longer than we expected. We knew it was a long wait because we were starting to get uncomfortable and we kept looking through the restaurant to see where our server went. The one great thing about this place if you need a place to watch sports this is your place. There are TVs everywhere. It was nice because we were able to keep an eye on the Golden State VS Rockets game and the Blackhawks hockey game. The place was decent. I don’t know if I’ll go again. But if we’re in need for a sports fix this could be our place.

Came here for lunch today for a work thing, so we had a rather large party of 11 — despite this, the wait staff didn’t have any problems. Orders were correctly filled, drinks were always being topped off, and the staff was also very nice and friendly! I tried the fried pickles, and they are delish! Reminded me a lot of the dill pickle chips that Lays makes. For my entrée, I had the Brick Chicken Mac and Cheese. Damn. This is good mac and cheese — the cheese is gooey and the macaroni was properly cooked, and that chicken was juicy too. VERYFILLING. I almost didn’t finish… almost. The interior of the restaurant is very nice too, although maybe a bit excessive when it comes to the flat screens. Pretty loud too — it was hard to hear the people next to me, although this is expected considering the type of place. All in all, this was a good lunch, I’d definitely recommend it!

Clean, cozy bar with good food and reasonable prices. There are plenty of TV’s with variety of games on. The layout allows you to watch multiple games at once. It can get very loud in here, but that’s what I’d expect from a lively sports bar. Our service was efficient. They have a decent selection of draft beers and the food is better than your average bar food. On our past visit, we had the margherita and Italian flatbread pizzas. The pizza’s were thin and crispy. I liked the use of fresh roma tomatoes on the pizzas. The burgers were huge and juicy. The tenderloin sliders were also good. The menu is diverse so there is something for everyone. Cover 2 isn’t trying too hard, just hard enough to make me want to come back.

Since my original review, I have seen nothing but decline in service and food quality. This is an ok stop for beer only, but, the food? MEH. I needed a cheeseburger fix today, and, decided to come here. Man, what a disappointment. Popped in around 1630ish. We sat at the bar, and, there were two bartenders on duty. The crowd was minimal for a late Saturday afternoon. Our BT was friendly, but, had her priorities unfocused. We both ordered the Chop House burger, and, shared fries. I asked for cheddar and mustard. I was told that it comes with creole mustard(?). I asked for that on the side, and, regular mustard(which they only have as a condiment in the packet). It took 20 minutes for the burgers and fries to arrive. I’m gonna focus on my burger here as the experience was pretty much the same for both of us. They didn’t bring either mustard for my burger. It took two minutes(yes, I timed it) to get my BT’s attention and let her know. She said«Oh shucks». She left to go get the mustards, but, stopped to make five mixed drinks before going back into the kitchen. She came back with the creole(?) mustard, and, told me to try that, and, if I didn’t like it, she would bring the French’s packets! OK. The burger was served on ciabatta bread, which was nice. As for the veggies? The lettuce was shredded, tomatoes were limp, pickles had no flavor, and, the sliced onion ended up being four rings of red onion, which brought no flavor to the burger. This brings me to the question: Why do some establishments treat onions as if they are an endangered vegetable? I love the flavor of the onion, especially on a burger. It takes a whole slice to get the real flavor. The patty was unimpressive, greasy, and, just blah. I am no aficionado on the American burger, but, I do know that if you’re gonna sell it, it must be flavorful and juicy. When I sink my teeth into a burger patty, I want flavor, other than greasy bland beef. Come on guys, mix in some garlic, salt, pepper, etc. Give that meat some flavor. The ciabatta bread soaked up the grease and became somewhat soggy bun. The fries were another disappointment. The burgers are ala carte, so, the fries are extra at $ 3.50. They were shoestring fries! Seriously? Overall, we had another lame experience at Cover 2. I will only go here for the occasional beer or two on my way home or running errands. I’m taking them down two stars, because I have experienced much better in food and service. Since my original review, they have only disappointed each time.
