Covert Ford Lincoln

Go elsewhere. Don’t know how they sell cars when they are incapable. scratch that, «incompetent» in the service department. Took my explorer in after having it professionally diagnosed elsewhere with a bad power break booster. After owning 8 fords we are Premier Ford Care member, so took it to Covert. They kept the car four days, couldn’t find the problem. Picked the car up and didn’t get far out of the parking lot, when the cars system indicated the problem again. Returned the car, and three days later they said they fixed it. Not far out of the parking lot the cars system indicated the same brake issue. They will have had our car for more than 8 days for a simple power brake booster replacement!

I have been to Covert Ford twice to buy a used vehicle each time I spoke with Tim Elliot and nothing was ever accomplished. He was quick to get me in and out of his office and didn’t even want to try to help me. I went to Charles Mound Toyota and the gentleman said to pick whatever car I wanted on the lot. Once I found the car I wanted I was in and out of there in less than an hour where at covert they didn’t even want to try to get me approved

Straight up shady. Took my car in for what I was fairly certain was a faulty radiator fan. Charged me for diagnosis (which is fine), then tried to charge me $ 800 to replace the fan. I declined, brought it home with the intention of replacing the fan myself, and realized it works fine. Clearly there was a poor connection or something, which they had to have figured out while «diagnosing,» and subsequently fixed (accidentally?). So they basically attempted to con me out of $ 800 to replace a perfectly functional part. This is why you never take your car to a dealership unless it’s under warrantee, and always get a second opinion. Still trying to figure out why I decided to bring my car to these people in the first place. My mistake; lesson learned (again).

Salesman Travis was great. Purchase experience was ok. Service was horrible !!!
I purchased a new 2016 Explore limited, close to closing time, so It was pretty dark out. The next day I realized it was dirty ! Not just some light dust; there was BLACK pen marks on the TAN Leather seats, greasy black fingerprints all over the driver door panel, a razor in the shift stick area, chettoo crumbs in the driver area, the exterior was just as dirty, right back wheel arch trim was scuffed & it looked as if it continues on to the body as well.
So I called & they said they would take care of it 3÷18÷2016.
3/​/​2016 I went to pick up vehicle; to my disappointment it was still dirty all try did was take the pen mark off the seat everything else was the same RAZOR was still there & now the Front wheel had a chip !
Oh they did clean the right back wheel, ONLY! The other ones where still dirty & they put armor all so you couldn’t notice the scuff lol I still could see them !
I’m over the new truck at this point & I just want to return but Travis was so nice & apologized!
So I left it there, & they where suppose to fix it !
3÷29÷2016 I received an email from the manager Chris Urunga & I replied with all my concerns, letting him know I was upset with the situation.
4÷06÷2016 I didn’t hear back from him so I emailed him again.
This time the we’re «nice «& dropped it off at work for me. I was with a client so I just gave him the keys & the driver gave me my keys when I went out there to check it out; the scuff on the wheel arch was gone but it was still dirty inside (RAZOR STILL IN THE SAME PLACE) & the front wheel nick was gone but now the wheel was cracking ! So again I had to drive up there, FYI I live in Kyle.
4÷25÷2016 I went in today to finally pick up my car for the last time but they didn’t have the keys
It has been a little past a month since I purchased this vehicle & I have had MY vehicle for about a total of 10 days .

Bought a new F150 from Covert last week and it was a great experience. I worked with Joel on a reco from a neighbor, and Joel was great! They offered an extremely competitive initial price so there wasn’t a need for haggling. I did compare to another Ford dealership and also against a Ram I had test-​driven, and neither could touch Covert. The people were friendly, follow-​up was prompt, and I just got a follow-​up email from Joel checking to see how things are going with the truck. Was a great experience as a first time buyer from Covert.

Bought a SUV here salesman was great but the finance guy was extremely rude to me and my family member I brought with me he was trying to hit me up for every dollar he could add on since Im a girl he thought he could get away with it. I bought a second car a year later at another dealership since no one at this dealership would call me back when I was ready to buy, I had a much better experience there and was treated with respect and not like a idiot since Im a lady. I also had a really bad experience at this dealership in the parts department with a salesman named Billy, was treated bad and he made some nasty comments under his breath to me when I told his boss in the parts dept., I was brushed off and he defended this a-​hole, hate this place, they need to learn how to treat women customers all around this whole dealership, several members of my family previously bought cars here and they won’t anymore based on how I was treated here! Fire Billy in parts and learn how to treat women guys! There sure are a whole lot of bad reviews on this dealership, y’all need a overhaul for sure!

Covert Ford adversities No one beats a Covert Deal — not now, not ever! I Walked in with a Buyers order from another dealer, they matched the price of their truck but low-​balled the trade by thousands. Ask Salesman what does «No one beats a Covert Deal — not now, not ever!» mean. He said that’s on the price of their vehicle, they don’t match the price of trade.
So I ask how is it no one beats a Covert Deal if the price of the vehicle is the same but Covert Ford is off by thousands on the trade?

Just picked up my 2013 pickup from them for my 60k maintenance service. It was over $ 500!!! Unreal. I’ll be going somewhere else in the future.

My husband and I traveled from San Antonio Texas, to visit Covert Ford used dealership. Once we walked in I noticed 4 salesman. It took five minutes of us just standing in the middle of the room, waiting for someone to acknowledge us. I noticed one of the salesmen Jeff on Facebook the whole time. As he made eye contact with us several times, but never offered a Hello or can I help you? I finally walked around the office to find someone to help us. Once we found someone they asked Jeff if he could help us. He said that he was busy with someone. We were then introduced to Bryan who was glad to help. My husband went on a test run while I stayed inside. The whole time I was inside Jeff the salesman, who was supposedly with someone was on Facebook again! I watched him the full 15 minutes as I waited in the office. A couple walked in shortly after. Jeff was fist to greet them and offer his help! Customer service is a huge factor when purchasing vehicles. My husband and I have been to plenty of dealerships in San Antonio. This was the first and last time we ever take the long drive out to this dealership. Poor customer service! Except Bryan the salesman we spoke with.

I was on Unilocal just checking the hours for Covert and felt compelled to review.
I have bought three used cars from Covert in the last five years. All of my purchases have been from Monty.
All purchases were fast, fair, and painless. I got exactly what I expected and paid for.
Tomorrow I plan to go in to buy a new car.
I have used the service department on multiple occasions. Yes, they’re busy. They do their best to squeeze people in where they can… so, yes, if you don’t make an appointment it’s going to take you longer than Jiffy Lube.
As for complaints about being «ripped off»… Do your research before you go on. They are salespeople. If you don’t want to haggle, go to a «no haggle» dealer.

Used car sales — DON’T try and buy online. You’ll NEVER get a call back from your salesperson. If I hadn’t keep calling, there’d have been no communication at all. The end result was that, even with the cosigner having been a Ford dealer for 42 years with perfect credit, they told me they WOULDN’T submit the loan because my credit was bad. Obviously, this dealership has seriously gone downhill as I’ve bought from them twice before. STAY AWAY !!!

Used Car Sales.
I bought a 2004 Ford F-​150 from this dealership and I love it. It was just the right truck for me right now and Monty the salesman was helpful, friendly and personable– everything you might want from a used car salesman.
It was an easy sale for him because I liked the truck so much. Nevertheless, this is a 1 star review because the dealership didn’t follow through on all the agreements we made in good faith before the sale was finalized. I asked the dealership to get me my disabled veteran plates transferred to my new truck. Instead, the business office charged me the regular title and licensing rate of around 60 dollars and got me regular plates without ever contacting me about it.
When I refused the regular plates and told them that I wanted the disabled veteran (DV) plates like we agreed to before the sale (and that I would provide them with whatever paperwork they needed) the dealership leadership simply ignored me for a month until the temporary plate was expired. Since the temp plate was expired I stopped by to pick up the plates that they got me with a demand that they reimburse me my $ 60 dollars (since I have to change the plates on my own) they flat out refused. (the salesman offered me the money from his own personal account but I refused that ;)).
Covert Ford leadership apparently doesn’t understand that a deal is a deal and I won’t be trying to make any more deals with Covert Ford in the future.

Was not surprised by the low reviews as most car dealerships do not fare favorably. Needless to say I was expecting the worst but to my surprise the staff was friendly, helpful, and attentive and they honored Ford’s warranty on the failed catalytic converter without friction. The car was purchased at Carmax, had around 32,000 miles and the catalytic converter failed two days after purchase (that, or they knew about it and just reset the service light). The only issue I had was a day had passed and I did not hear from them so I had to call and find out that they had ordered the part and were going to have it ready in a couple of days.

This place is awful. They are way too busy to listen. Asked if they can help me with the software upgrade for my Sync System. And he wanted to keep the car for a few days to reset the system. This is not what I asked and not required. Terrible experience!

Purchased two cars there two weeks ago tomorrow — one a cash sale, the other partially financed. Was a good experience until a week after the purchase. They tried to say the sale of the financed one was a Straw Sale since I was purchasing the vehicle for my son & the bank would no longer finance. Absolute bullshit. Finance manager, Fred, could not remember anything he told me or my fiancé.
Get financed through another bank on Thursday, he told my fiancé for us to come Friday after I get off work. We get there before 6pm, we told them we were there to see Fred, a guy went back to his office, came back said he will be with yall shortly. 7:15pm he makes his way out and asked what we were doing there and as it is after 7pm, we couldn’t be helped to sign paperwork. Tells us he will call on Sunday early for us to come finish up paperwork. At almost 4pm yesterday (Sunday) he calls — well we already were doing something so we were unable to go then.
We get there today at 9:10am and are just now leaving. I questioned him to some things he told my fiancé on the phone, that I heard him say since he was on speaker. His reply — I need said that.
So in short save yourself time and hassle by not going to Covert Ford. I wish I had read reviews before purchasing two vehicles from there.
My fiancé is in the market to trade his car in now and I can good guarantee we won’t step foot on that lot again!!!
Edited to add — I traded in the Lincoln I purchased as a cash sale last week, and he thinks it’s his business why I traded it in already. Note: it’s none of your business what the hell I do with a vehicle that was a cash sale.

I took my car this am and it was ready later today, so happy :) Kattia and Lois service was awesome! Keep it up

If you’re a woman trying to buy a car, I’d recommend that you stay far away from this place.
Two stars is about right. I was in a car accident and needed to find a car quickly. I had a specific SUV in mind and it turned out the Saturday I bought my car Covert Ford had someone trade in the exact model I wanted. The car I wanted was an Acura, which is bizarre to find it at a Ford dealership but since Acuras are limited in Texas, I was very eager to check this vehicle out.
I called ahead and spoke to Monty. We arrived and checked out the vehicle. While perusing said vehicle I noticed Monty kept telling my boyfriend everything without addressing me. My boyfriend at one point looked Monty in the face and said: «You need to talk to her (me) because she’s the one buying the car, not me». The rest of the visit, Monty spoke to my boyfriend till we negotiated price. Covert gave me everything I wanted in terms of price but the car was not ready for sale. It had not been inspected, it needed a cleaning, an oil change and there was only one of two keys available. Covert Ford promised to honor my requests to get the car up to par. Monty assured this to my boyfriend.
I came back a month later. Monty miraculously called me (and not my boyfriend) to inform me that the 2^nd key and my tag was ready to be picked up. I told him that I would be in on a specific date and that I expected to have everything ready. I know Ford is not an Acura dealership but I did ask Monty if they would have everything ready, like the oil filter etc? Monty said «Yes, yes, come in, come in».
I arrive on the date, as I said I would. No one knew what to do in the service area. Once Monty was located, they took my car back some mystery area. About 3 ½ hours went by while I waited for an oil change and what I thought was a car detailing. I walk over the used car building and see my car parked out in front. After confronting Monty why it was taking so long, I heard one excuse after another. The detailing hadn’t been done either. At this point I was incredibly frustrated and a Manager came over. I explained the situation and he was going to get «right on it». The car was gone for another 30 minutes while it got inspected and I stated I refused to stay at the dealership more than 4 hours for a scheduled oil change. I would not stay any longer and that I would be expecting them to reimburse me for a car detailing I would get on my own. The Manager agreed and gave me his card. I made sure to check the oil was clean and indeed it was. I was beyond surprised. I left completely frustrated but knowing I’d never have to go back, made me happy.
I cannot stress enough how stereo typical I think this «good ol boy aka Sexist» Ford dealership is. Not to mentioned its unorganized and you have to fight to get what you have agreed to.
Out of all the dealerships in Austin, save yourself some time and find a better one. I wish I had.

I recently went to this place to purchase a used vehicle for myself in the used car department.
I had an absolutely incredible experience. Mitch was my guy and he provided me with incredible service. Real genuine, nice, very pleasant to talk to individual who provided me with 0 pressure, and just wanted me to get into the car that I desired. All in all they got it done and I went home with a gorgeous new Yukon in under 2 hours.
I heavily recommend at least the used car section of this dealer, and if you go make sure to ask for Mitch!

My mom and dad were involved in an accident, and needed to replace their truck quickly. We decided to stop by Covert since it was the closest Ford dealer to our house, and seemed to have a large inventory. I had been there before, but have never even had a salesman come out to talk to me. Found out that’s part of their «schtick.» Very low pressure, and our salesman named Travis Palu was absolutely great in helping get the initial deal done. Told them what we were looking for, and they found the right truck for us. Great price on the truck. It was nice to find exactly what we were looking for at the first place we stopped.
Why only one star? Well, because of the sheer amount of time we had to spend at the dealership, and their rather shady business practices after the sale. We walked in just before 1:00 PM, and did not have the truck to drive out until nearly 8:00 PM! We found the truck we wanted within 30 minutes of walking in. We had reached a deal soon after that. We sat and sat… just waiting on them to get all of their ducks in a row to finalize everything. No idea why it took so long. Already had financing in place before the purchase. Granted, it took them a little while to figure out the trade value on the truck traded, but seriously… Why so long? Plus, it seemed that everyone we talked to was juggling more than one customer at a time. I know that managers have to deal with multiple people at a time, but salesmen should not engage you at all if they have another customer coming in. Our first salesman dumped us after 10 minutes because he had another customer coming in. Sorry, but if I’m sitting in front of you, READY to buy a car, then we should have your complete attention. This, while a whole table full of salespeople/​management sat around a desk and «shot the bull» for most of our time there. They even began discussing us, and our trade among themselves where we could hear them. Just bad business practice, guys… seriously.
Speaking of taking their sweet time… We intended to trade the truck that had been wrecked. They gave us a price on it, and we made a deal. AFTER everything was done, and papers were getting ready to be signed, they decided that they would NOT do the trade because we didn’t have the title for the paid off trade, strictly because my parents were from out of state. I live 5 minutes from Covert, but that did not seem to matter. My parents ended up having to just buy the truck without including the trade, as they had no real choice. They gave us a written note on letterhead stating that they would pay us the amount agreed upon for the trade as soon as they received the title. Well, they did not trust us that we were telling the truth about having the truck paid off. We had the title in their hands within a few days. That was nearly 2 weeks ago, and now they have the title, truck, and still no check. I was told that they would overnight the check, and that it would be in my parents’ hands by this past Wednesday. Still no dice. They asked us to trust them, and then violated that trust. I sincerely hope that the money is in hand within the next couple of days. I never want to set foot in that dealership again.
Save yourself the hassle… drive to Mac Haik in Georgetown…

Not really the best dealership. Their staff wasn’t terrible, but no one approached me immediately, which normally I’d appreciate… but I also interpreted it as lack of «withitness.»
They had some good cars, but their deals weren’t anything too special. Also, some of their CPO cars had visible dust on the interior and leaves in the engine. One even had a big-​ass nail poking out of one of the tires. I think if more of them stepped up and put more attention to the maintenance of their cars and their customer service, I’d score them much higher.
