Another great cut/​color by Keri! Almost five years ago, I turned the care of my hair completely over to her and she’s worked wonders. From length to layers and highlights to lowlights (and even a brief foray into pink), I’ve been a happy customer every time. I barely even bother to ask for what I want any more — I just ask her what she recommends based on the season, what’s going on in my life, my mood, etc. and then trust in her hands. She gets it right every time — love this girl!

Keri is highly skilled and talented when it comes to the art of hair. She is very honest and will not let you spend money that isn’t necessary on the hair services she offers which I not only find this to be valuable for me but I feel it speaks volumes about Keri and her business. I cannot say enough about Keri! I am sooo thankful to have found her! I moved to Austin last December as was sooo afraid I would not be able to find a stylist that compared to the one I had been going to for over 10 years.
Keri offers a free consult to discuss your needs and she is very open and honest. I have worn extensions for many many years and she gave me her opinion on what I currently had and suggested I try easihair pro tape extensions.
She is also a color genius… she knows how to adjust the color so it is perfect for your skin tone. I love love my color.
I have since switched from Hot Heads tape extensions to Easihair pro tapes per Keri’s recommendation. I do love the hair quality, it looks good much longer then the Hot Heads. The only difficulty I had was not washing my hair for 3 – 4 days after getting the new extensions. I’ve learned how to «cope» with that and have also learned to not wash my hair every day like I had been. I am sure it is great for my hair, but it does take an adjustment!
So, do not hesitate to give Keri a call… You will be VERY happy!!!

I am a natural brunette, but fought nature every summer getting highlights. When I first went to Keri, she provided some much needed encouragement to go back to my natural color. She not only repaired my years of damaged hair, but gave me a cut and style that everyone adores. I just love my new look. She made me feel beautiful again. After years of debating whether or not to take the plunge, I chose Keri to do my tape-​in hair extensions. She was very honest, helpful and positive during our consultation and she calmed my nerves several times leading up to my appointment. I started to get anxious and had lots of questions, but Keri was patient, responsive, informative and had a good sense of humor about me being a worrier. She definitely put me at ease and the end result did not disappoint – I love my extensions and have never looked better! I get so many compliments on my hair now and I look about 10 years younger. Keri is also great about communicating and helping with any questions or challenges along the way. I would definitely recommend her if you are considering extensions and I consider her pricing very reasonable, especially considering the great customer service and expertise she provides.

After years of getting my hair cut at random places, I found my permanent home with Keri. She’s always looking out for your best interest, and I can’t be thankful enough! I first found her because I was looking for help with extensions. Although I don’t have thinning hair, I did want some extra body for an upcoming photo shoot. Keri did such a great job that I can’t imagine my hair without them! She’s AMAZE-​BALLS.

Where to begin!
I have had thin, fair hair my whole life. I decided to try to make it grow and become as healthy as it gets — which resulted in me not coloring my bleached hair for about 8 months and not cutting it for another 4 months. I went into Kari ready to spend my paycheck on tape-​in extensions and finally accept that fact that my natural hair was not going to cut it for the look I wanted. During the consultation, I explained to Kari what I wanted and she convinced me to make my hair into a long bob… the most drastic decision I could make! I am 23 and now is the time to have long, luscious locks, right?! (Even though my mom has been telling me for about 4 years to do a long bob)… Any way — with one look — Kari told me that a long bob is the perfect fit for my face shape and hair texture. With full faith in Kari, along with some nervous humming as the scissors went to work, I walked out with the BEST hair style and color I have EVER had. I could not be more grateful to Kari! She is extremely talented and confident in her craft. I have spent about $ 200 — $ 250 on every hair appointment I have ever had… and it comes to prove that money is never the issue. but that the stylist is all that matters. Thanks to Kari, I have no insecurities about my weave showing ²⁴⁄₇ and I finally have the hairstyle that is best for ME.
Long story short, GO SEE KARI! She is amazing at what she does and she knows what she is doing.

Keri does amazing haircuts!
I’ve been to several different places to get my hair cut in Austin, and none of them have come close to Keri. She listened to what I wanted and got the exact look I was going for. It is difficult to find someone who can do that. She is punctual, friendly and fun to talk to, and makes getting a haircut an enjoyable experience. I have been 3 times and will definitely continue to go to her for all my hair needs. I should also mention that I have gotten a ton of compliments on my hair after getting cuts from her!
If you are looking for a stylist that will listen to you and work with you to get a haircut that fits you, definitely go to Keri.

On my second set of tape in hair extensions and my natural hair is stronger and longer than before! Keri is a hair genius — not certain what I did before finding her. If you want to feel like a hair model — call her immediately!

I moved here back in June from Vegas and was super nervous about finding a new stylist being Im super picky about my hair. After literally 4 months of dealing with long unruly crazy hair I began my search for a new Austin stylist. Unilocal being my best friend in Austin, led to Keri and I am so so happy. I saw Keri for the first time in October and the first impression was so great. She is very friendly, listens to what you want and does such a great job. I live in the North part of Austin and have no problem driving thru the grueling austin traffic to have Keri make me feel pretty. Just saw her again today for a cut and color and absolutely looooove my hair.

Keri is my new girl! I have been to see Keri a few times at Salon Sovay and I am stoked.
In the 3 ½ years I have lived in Austin, I have been on what seems like an endless search for a stylist I can stick with. Mostly because I am a hair disaster. I never know what I really want and my vague instructions are something along the lines of «Not too long, but not too short. Color! Or maybe not?» I am pretty low maintenance, but offer little guidance. I am a stylist’s nightmare, or maybe a dream to the right person.
Keri has always made me feel like I was a dream client. Even though I come in not really having a clue what I want (I think my exact words are usually, «something fun, sexy. Maybe color it red? Or not?»), she has always taken the time to ask the questions a lot stylists have never asked me. What’s your hair routine? What products do you use? Do you keep up with your color? Things of that nature, which seem common sense to ask, thinking about it now, but I can’t remember anyone really doing that before. She’s always trying to figure out my relationship with my hair so that she could give me the best cut/​color. And she is excited that I am hair clueless and give her creative control over my mane. That is awesome! I am used to seeing a look of panic cross stylists’ faces when they have to be creative with me, but Keri takes it all in stride.
I am SO happy I found Keri. She was just an all around awesome chic and did an amazing job on my hair. I seriously haven’t been this happy with my hair in a long time. It is fun. It is sexy. The color is incredible. Every time. I’m spending a lot Of time trying not to make out with myself in the mirror these days.
Bottom line: I love Keri, I love her work. She is more expensive than other stylists I have been to, but she is worth every cent and then some (quick tip: she only takes cash it check, so come equipped). I seriously recommend Keri to everyone who compliments my hair. I’ve even sent my mom to her when she is visiting from Michigan. That is how much I love Keri!

Is there a sixth star to give? coz Keri deserves it. She is suuuupa cool and very very good with hair. Any occassion, any situtation and any requirement you give her, she will tailor them and suggest you the best options and all you need to do is relax and half an hr later, voilaaaa, you will have amazing hair. I just took my wife her and she absolutely loves her. Actually myself and my wife are trying adopt Keri so that we wont lose her.:)

She’s been my hair stylist/​dr. since I moved to Austin. She’s a natural and has an eye for what cut, color and style is best for the shape of your face. She was meant to be a a hairstylist and takes it very seriously – in a fun, never boring kinda way. She knows the latest trends and isn’t afraid to go there — as long as your onboard.
I’ve recommended her to more than a handful of friends and I immediatley get the text or phone call – «I LOVE KERI!» or «My hair looks great, Thanks for telling me about Keri!». I cant say enough about her… Go Ahead Book it! I promise you won’t regret it!

I recently moved from the Dallas/​Fort Worth area and I was very nervous about finding a salon/​hair dresser that would be able to work with my extensions! I looked through Unilocal and found Keri and I am so thankful for all of the reviews! Every review was right!
I got an appointment with Keri and she removed my extensions, colored my hair and replaced my extensions all to my satisfaction. Beyond satisfaction! I no longer have to worry about the dreaded search of the right hairdresser! I found her!
She is very sweet, she listens, and she makes recommendations that are helpful and that don’t kill your pocket book! I highly recommend her for any of your hair styling concerns!

Keri is a fantastic hair stylist. My hair is fine and was so scraggly and damaged when I went in for my cut. I also brought along my Luxy brand clip in extensions that were too long and didn’t look right when I clipped them in.
First Keri talked with me about my hair and how I wanted to wear my extensions. It’s hard to find someone who understands the trials and tribulations of fine, thin hair, but Keri totally does. She gave my hair a super cute cut, then took my extensions and fit the right pieces in all the right places, and then gave THEM a super cute cut! Now I have an adorable bob, and when I want, I can put my extensions in and have gorgeous long hair. The best part is that Keri totally understood where to place the clips. My hair is so thin, she really had to place them perfectly so that they would be hidden.
She’s a miracle worker! If you are into extensions or not, you will be happy you went to Keri!

I’ve been getting my hair colored for 15 years and I’ve never been more satisfied than what Keri Moss has given me each and every time I come to see her! She’s strengthened my hair, made it appear more natural (not brassy!) and it’s never looked better. She finishes with fab hair cuts too! Can’t say enough about how incredibly talented this sweet lady is!

Keri is AMAZING. She has been styling my hair for over 5 years and I wouldn’t trust anyone else now. What I like most is if I come to Keri with some crazy idea, she helps me remember things like, what type of hair I have, the shape of my face, and what color looks good with my skin tone. I always end up with a super trendy style and color that fits me. And– she’s a hoot to be around. Love this girl!

So, what to say about Keri, and the amazing work of art she has created with my hair.
Let me paint a picture for you. Imagine a poor girl who went to get her hair colored in October and wound up with so overly processed hair that she was literally missing large chunks from key spots on her head. That would be me. My hair is so badly damaged, that there are quite a few spots that it’s only an inch long. In random, unfortunate places.
Enter Keri and her amazing visual abilities. I’ve had quite a few stylists tell me that hair extensions aren’t an option until my hair grows out (which, at this rate, may take a few years…). Keri thought differently, and I couldn’t be happier with the results.
I kid you not – I went from looking like some crazy person had gone at my head with dull scissors to looking like I did 5 or 10 years ago – from looking like a dowdy mom to looking like a mid 20 something cutie. Seriously – I look amazing. I look like a different person. My kids think I look like a pop star, and my husband thinks I look hot. Need I say more?
I will, even though that should be enough for you to get this done for yourself.
Keri uses the brand Hot Heads, which is a tape based extension. Once they go in, you can hardly see the tape at the root of your hair. They stay in for about 10 weeks, and you can reuse the hair up to 4 times. They’re also fast to go in (it took her about an hour and a half to transform me), and they are a FRACTION of the price that you’ll find at a lot of other salons. Perhaps it’s the lack of time involved? I“m not sure. I do know that I spent about 50% less than what I had been told it would cost other places (that its, if my hair decided to grow, which it doesn’t).
Keri herself is fantastic. She’s all about making sure that your hair revolution will fit your life style, and that you know what you’re doing with it. She does a follow up appointment about a week later, so you have time decide what you would like to tweak, if anything.
In short, Keri is a miracle worker. She is fantastically talented, and knows what the hell she’s doing. If you’re even maybe sort of considering the possibility of extensions, you have got to go in and see her. Also feel free to ping me – I would be happy to show you before and after pics.

Keri is amazing with hair! I knew how talented she was from friends that had been going to her Salon in Lubbock. I was thrilled to hear she had moved to Austin and got my 1^st appointment Dec 2010.
Let’s just say… my hair situation is bad. Long curly hair and A LOT of it. I am not a high maintenance gal. Usually wash my hair and throw in a bun so I don’t have to deal with it.
I explained all of this during our 1^st appointment (I think she got the idea with one look at my hair:). I didn’t want a hair cut that was complicated and only looked good when I walked out of the Salon. Too many times I have gotten home, washed the hair to realize I have a bigger problem — not enough time to make it look good everyday.
Keri cut a great deal off, but it still looked long. She added layers (i was very leery of this), but found that my hair looked much better and I was able to let it air dry and look nice. I immediately set up another appointment for Highlights.
She did the BEST job ever on my highlights. Keri understood that I wouldn’t be in the Salon every 6 weeks for maintenance (more like every 4 – 6 months). She put in highlights with low lights so when it grew out the roots wouldn’t be shameful. They looked great. Last highlights I did were Dec 2011, I booked an appointment in a couple of weeks so I got 6 months out of them– that is awesome!
