Daily Texan-Student Newspaper University of Texas

I’m an avid reader of easily accessible newspapers. You can count on me to be on top of NY Times online most days, LA Times when I’m in at home, and I read most of the Daily Cal when I was at Berkeley.
Honestly, I was struck by the quality of the Daily Texan. Clearly, the newspaper is not short on funding, because not only do they run articles about campus goings-​on, but they also print AP articles about events around the nation. That said, I’m especially fond of the Daily Texan’s features of local vendors. Days after Odd Duck Farm to Trailer popped up as one of the new hot spots in Austin, sure enough, Daily Texan had a little feature on it. It doesn’t stop there, they’ve done features on Mary Louise Butter’s brownies, cake pops, 24 Diner, and much more. These features are very much in sync with the «Keep Austin Weird» theme!
Other neat stuff include features about all of the musical events going on around town… obviously everyone needs as much help as they can get with all of the acts all the time.
Minus one star crappy editorials. Does anyone screen those?
