Dalton’s Air

It’s November — and in the 80’s! With humidity that is terrible! What a time for the A/​C to head south! My wife has some repository issues that make heat and humidity a very BAD THING! Dalton’s Air managed to work us into the schedule for today and Chris made it our to our house withing 2 hours. He found that the drain line was clogged, and that the unit was low on Freon. So, he blew out the drain line and upped the Freon levels. Our baby is now cooling like it was new! Thank your Dalton’s Air! I cannot recommend this company too much. That is why we have used Dalton’s Air ever since we moved the Cedar Park four years ago.

Our AC went out. I called our home warranty company and was referred to a different AC company who could not come for 5 days. (It was 93 degrees outside.) Thankfully the warranty company then put us in touch with Dalton’s Air. They came the same day and made sure to finish the job even in the rain.
Manuel was very knowledgeable and friendly. Highly recommend Dalton’s Air.

Mr. Louis Dalton just fixed my home’s AC and he was very kind. He was assigned to me via our home warranty plan and it’s very hit or miss with the contractors. He was always nice to talk to, answered my questions. Our AC has only been in installed today but I don’t anticipate any issues. If there are, given my experience I would feel comfortable calling them again as I trust they would fix the issue.

This company has no idea what they are doing. We had them out numerous times to fix our HVAC, They continually put a bandaid on the problem. If they would have been honest with the previous owners and told them that there was a freon leak in the system, (which they would then by law put on the seller’s disclosure) it would have saved us several thousand dollars. I finally got them to admit after numerous times of freon that if you have to continually add freon, it must be getting out of the system through a leak.

Worked with Mr Dalton and his assistant Chris. Needed to replace 2 dampers and reroute some air to get better balance throughout the house we bought. They worked with our schedule did a great job and were extremely reasonable with their pricing. Hope I don’t have to, but would gladly work with these guys again.

Our A/​C went out Sunday evening, and I put in a call to our home warranty company. They assigned a contractor to us, but they only had one star on Unilocal.We called back, and were assigned to Dalton’s.
Manuel was great about calling to let me know when he would be at the house. When he arrived, he got right to business. The issue was fixed and I had cool, cool air blowing within 45 minutes of his arrival.
Great service, great company — highly recommended.

On August 8, 2013, Dalton’s Air was called out through our American Home Shield Home Warranty to handle an issue when our central A/​C unit stopped cooling. When Lewis Dalton (the owner) arrived, he was nice enough and proceeded to try and diagnose the problem. He found there were several leaks in the interior unit and that the filter (which was part of the interior unit) had to be bent in order to be installed. This caused air to bypass the filter altogether when the unit turned on and needed to be corrected. He explained that he would have to get an approval from our home warranty service before he could start the work. As we’ve had claims in the past with American Home Shield, we were very familiar with the process and went along with it. He said he did not have time that day to correct the leak issue but would take care of it when he came back out to install a new filter mount outside of the unit. We signed off on the work order and after he told us he would call us in a few days, he went on his way.
A full week went by and we didn’t hear anything back from Lewis or anyone else from Dalton’s Air. We continued calling periodically over the course of several weeks in fact with no responses until we hit the one month mark. Finally, he answered our call when I called from a different telephone number and claimed he was «just about to call». Talk about a coincidence… He finally gave us an update and said he received approval from AHS and now would have to come back out to take measurements before he could order the parts. Why didn’t he measure everything when he was out the first time? Anyway, we scheduled a time and date with him which he ended up being a no-​call no-​show for. In fact, he did this for the next appointment after that as well. Lewis had no excuse for it and didn’t even apologize when we finally got him on the phone days later. For the 3^rd appointment of the week, I asked that he please call me 30 minutes before arriving because I couldn’t wait around all day as I had for the two previous appointments that he didn’t bother to show up for. I wouldn’t be home but could get there within 20 – 25 minutes. I figured 30 minutes would allow me a few extra minutes in case there was a delay of some sort. Instead, he called and said he was pulling into my neighborhood. I explained that I would head home immediately but that it would be at least 15 minutes before I could get there. He said ok. But then when I arrived, 12 minutes later, he had already left! What the hell? Why tell me ok if you’re just going to up and leave??? What pissed me off even more was the fact that he no-​showed on me for 2 other appointments which I waited for more than 5 hours each time, but he couldn’t wait for 12 minutes? Seriously?
The 4^th appointment he did show up for… over 2 hours past the 1:00pm — 3:00pm time frame he gave us. Once again, without calling first to let us know what was going on. At this point, we figured just let him do it so we can finally be done with all of this. He came in, quickly measured and then left after telling us it would be just a couple of days. Funny, we should’ve known better since we’d heard that before. Needless to say, the «couple of days» came and went with no word from Dalton’s Air. Repeated voice and text messages went unanswered until September 27, 2013 when he finally informed me through text message that the parts were in and he could install everything within 2 days. I said great, and to please let me know when he was available so I could schedule my week accordingly. I asked for 2 days notice so I could juggle my clients appointments. He didn’t contact me again until October 2, 2013. In that text message he said he would be here on Friday October 4, 2013 between 1:00pm — 3:00pm to do the install. But of course, as is his M.O., he no-​calls no-​shows yet again.
I finally had enough and left him a voice mail stating that we were done with his company and would find another service provider who would actually complete the job they’ve been paid to do. We will never use his company again and will let everyone know of the poor service he provides and that he seems to enjoy wasting his client’s time.
I strongly recommend you find someone, ANYONE other than Dalton’s Air for your Air Conditioning or Heating needs. Hell, go take a course on how to repair it yourself. You’ll be able to get your license to do it professionally long before Dalton’s Air will complete your original service request anyway.

We woke up Saturday morning to our AC not cooling and only recycling hot air. I called Dalton AC and they had a repair technician come to the house in an hour. The technician diagnosed the problem and repaired the AC quickly. He was very professional and courteous. I will be calling them back should any AC or heating issues occur.

Lewis Dalton came out to work on our heater in 2010 (before he took over this current company). After being told by two other repairmen that our furnace needed to be replaced ($ 3000+), Lewis promptly told us that the pilot light was just mis-​aligned and just charged us an $ 89 service fee.
This is the first time I have ever taken the time to write a Unilocal review but this was time well worth spending to promote Dalton Air. I’ll be calling him again shortly to come take a look at my AC!

Excellent service, showed up on time, did exact work requested at a very fair price. Workers cleaned up afterwards.
