Denver Mattress

I was referred to by a friend. They have excellent customer service! They work with me when I have requests and they returned a mattress that I had brought for in store credit and the policy is that you only have 1 exchange but when i brought an upgraded mattress they put it as if it was my first purchase so basically I still have another exchange to use after exchanging my first bed.
Their prices aren’t the best but they make up for it. For example I got free delivery on my 2^nd purchase. They even put me back on the 12-​month no interest plan after already paying with my credit card. After all, you get what you pay for!

This store advertised 7 years no interest «Offer available on approved single or combined store purchases totaling $ 3999 or more of qualifying merchandise made between 10÷08÷15 and 10÷14÷15 on an open and current Furniture Row Express Money card issued by Capital One, N.A.» I have an open Furniture Row Express Money Card. When I went to make the purchase I was told that they would only give me 5 years no interest. They called Capital One and told me that I’m not in the correct tier to receive the advertised 7 years. I called Capital One and they said that this is Furniture Rows decision to offer 7 years not Capital One’s and I need to take it up with the store manager as they do not make the promotions. This was misleading advertising that lead me into the store to make a purchase for 7 years no interest that is only offered to me as 5 years no interest. The only reason for the second star is the sales guy was nice enough and I do not fault him.
I have added the following a month after the purchase: «It took me about a month of dealing with Furniture Row and Capital One to get them to finally give me the 7 year no interest that was advertised. They did correct it in the end.»

Our salesman, Sascha, knew his stuff. He did not pressure us to buy, which we did, and he was very helpful in helping us decide which mattress to get.

We bought a new «big girl» bed for our daughter here, She loves it now that it has pink sheets on it :-)
I love that the mattress is so comfortable. I’m very slow to get up after we finish our bedtime story.
The price was definitely right. I looked at other mattress stores and they were all higher than Denver Mattress for essentially the same mattress.
And finally, Rick, the salesman, was very patience while I tied and retied the mattress and box spring to the top of my Honda Civic. (We made it Rick!)

I am so glad I started my mattress shopping with Denver Mattress. Rick gave me the knowledge to know what to ask for at other stores. I shopped for 3 days and came back to Denver and they were able to beat the best price I found.

Great experience! Sales staff are not pushy and they have a large selection across many price ranges. We’ve bought two mattresses from them.

We bought our mattress for our new house here last year, and had a great experience! Actually, we bought a lot of furniture from each store here at Furniture Row — makes it easy and convenient to do all your shopping in one area.
Our salesman was very down to earth and not pushy at all, which was relieving because this was our first time buying a «real» mattress. We came in, only knowing that we wanted something expensive, that would last a while, and was relatively soft.
We tried out almost every mattress they had on the floor, listening to our salesman give us pros and cons of each type/​brand. With his help we were able to really start to discern the difference between all the different kinds! We ended up picking out a Posturepedic memory foam mattress, and it was such an excellent choice. Every morning I feel rested, and every night I feel relaxed as I drift off into sleep. I wouldn’t have been able to do this without Denver Mattress’s help!
My only qualm is that they don’t have prices for any of their accessories easily available anywhere… I get why they do this (to force you to ask for help), but it can almost reach the point of annoyance when you keep pestering salespeople who are busy with other clients. Also, they use computers and printers from the 80s.
Try to hit this place up when they have some good deals and/​or sales — we got ours around President’s Day last year and got a nifty $ 250 Best Buy giftcard with our mattress.

So, I bought a mattress from Denver Mattress Company like 9 years ago. It was affordable, and the sales people were nice and no pressure. So this year, when it seemed like it was worn out, I went back to check out the new ones.
I walked in the store, and I asked the guy if he could look up what mattress I had bought before because we had liked it. When he looked up my name in the system, he told me that my mattress was still under warranty. Um, WHAT?! He said that it shouldn’t be so worn out after just 9 years, and told me the kind of pictures I would need to submit to begin the warranty process. I was in shock. I had just gone in to BUY a new mattress, never thinking ours would be covered under warranty.
When I told my husband, he was super skeptical, and he said he’d believe it when they delivered our new mattress. Well, about 3 weeks later, they did.
I can’t say enough nice things about Rick (the manager who helped us) and the team at Denver Mattress. That’s the kind of old-​fashioned service you only hear about. I will definitely come back here next time.

I should first say that the customer service is excellent. They will take a mattress back, no questions asked. Here’s the problem: the mattress I purchased, plus the one they replaced it with, fall apart so quickly. So, yes, they’re awesome about it all, but how many times do you want to go back to shop for a mattress?

I was happy with the level of service received here. It was all low-​pressure sales. We went in here because we really liked the bed my mom bought from Denver Mattress a few years ago. We looked around at 4 or so different king size beds for almost two hours before making our decision. They let us take our time, discuss it over and over, change our minds, and were very open with all questions.
Again, I can’t stress the low-​pressure enough! Going into other mattress stores I felt attacked and then pressured to buy something immediately!
We eventually decided on a clearance floor model that was almost half the original price. Originally 1799 marked down to 950. Can’t really beat that, and I can attest to it’s comfort. I already had a nap on it at the new house!
Something to note as well: If you buy furniture at the any of the places in the same building, they will deliver your mattress with the furniture shipment and save you money. Unfortunately since ours was a clearance, and the furniture purchased wasn’t ready to be delivered for a few weeks, we had to pick it up ourselves. Easy enough if you have a friend with a truck!
They also sell some sheet sets here that fit thicker mattresses a bit more easily. My wife was so excited they had a set made out of bamboo fiber, so that’s what we went home with. Apparently, it’s cooler and it’s germ resistant as well.
Well, it will beat sleeping on the bamboo mat she wanted to import from China anyway. ..

The folks at Denver Mattress are very helpful and professional. I bought a mattress from them in September of 2007 as a surprise for my girlfriend. She decided that the original mattress was too hard so we used their 30 day guarantee and exchanged it for a softer bed. In January of 2010 I noticed that our mattress seemed to be having an issue with the sidewall. I went down to the Denver Mattress showroom and looked around for a coupe of minutes until the manager asked if I needed help. I showed him my receipt and a picture of the sidewall of the mattress from my iPhone. Without hesitation or issue he proceeded to setup a replacement mattress for me and I was out the door in less than 10 minutes. I paid $ 50 for pickup and delivery and in one week I had a new mattress! I live in the area so I have shopped at most of the bed shops on Burnett road and I can tell you this place has the best service. Not sure what these other Unilocalers are talking about and Kat L. in particular should contact them. I bet they could help her with some of her issues.

Over the years we’ve bought many mattresses for our homes. Over that time we’ve learned a lot about mattresses including the games that are played by almost every mattress retailer. The fact of the matter is that 99% of the public has no clue when it comes to buying mattresses. Each manufacturer makes dozens, if not hundreds, of models and they’re all different.
When we visited big furniture retailers and mattress stores very few of the salespeople knew what they were doing. Our experience with Denver Mattress in Austin has been very different. We’ve bought two mattress sets from Denver Mattress. Rick helped us both times. He guided us through the process explaining what we should be looking for when buying a mattress set (# of coils, type of covering, coil types, etc…). The first mattress set we bought from Rick was less than we expected to spend. Basically, he didn’t think the higher priced model we thought we wanted was for us. That purchase was about 3 years ago.
The second purchase occurred a few days ago. We just needed a new mattress set for one of our guest bedrooms. Because it was a guest bedroom Rick again guided us to a model that was reasonably priced.
I do a lot of research anytime we spend money. I’m looking for good quality at a good price. I believe Denver Mattress is a good value. You can always buy a mattress set for less, as I’ve done on numerous occasions, but it probably won’t be a quality product.

After shopping at quite a few mattress stores, we wandered into this unassuming shop of Furniture Row. We had been looking at Sealys and were talked into looking at their house-​brand mattresses (about half the price of the Sealys at the discount shops — wow).
We received some excellent customer service from Rick – whereas at other stores we had been shown the mattresses with little to no explanation of the price differences besides the fabrics on the pillow tops, Rick took us through five different mattresses and let us flop around to our hearts’ desire. I almost fell asleep (this is a good thing) listening to his spiel. We’ll be back next week to buy. Thanks!

I asked about firm, queen-​sized mattresses. They showed me two models — each priced well about $ 500. They informed me that «our prices are so low because we cut out the middleman.» And that was it. The Austin Mattress Co next door at least had 3 queen-​firm models, half the floor space, and half the prices. So much for «cutting out the middleman.»

So, I had a good first experience with Denver Mattress… So I walk up the business ready to purchase.
I walk in, tell the sales guy which one I want, I’m ready to buy it and get out of here.
The sales guy says… «oh, we’re all out of that one… sorry, have a nice day»
Really!!! That’s it? Here’s some FREE sales advice, ready?
You had a customer IN YOUR STORE with a credit card IN HIS HAND… he’s ready to buy. You could have told me the following:
” We can get another one in… but it might be a few weeks, we’ll take 50 bucks off the price for the trouble”
«Well, since we’re out of that mattress (and shouldn’t be displaying things we’re out of) why don’t you take the floor model at a discounted price»
And the most important:
«Sorry we’re out of that one… would you like to see another model around the same price»?
The sales guy at Denver Mattress simply said, «sorry… have a nice day», he might as well have said: «I said good day to your sir… I said. GOOD DAY!!!» so I left and gave my business to someone else… and even paid 100 more then I was planning on spending! That money could have been yours Denver.
So… I still hate Denver and everything Denver related.
