Discount Tires is one of those businesses that I like giving my money.
I stop in to get my air checked from time to time, get my tires rotated, and of course, get my tires repaired or replaced for free with my certs.
And it’s nice to go throw back a couple of cold ones at Applebee’s while you wait!
Keep it up guys! Always a pleasure!

Awesome customer service. They explained everything to me clearly and made sure I understand everything. They were concerned about my safety as well as my time being there. The employees at this establishment represents the company high standards. Will do business with them again.

Discount tire has consistently provided high-​quality service. They are always very professional, friendly, and try to make your appointment as efficient as possible. Recently they took out a screw that didn’t require a tire replacement and filled the rest of my tires free of charge. I really appreciate their service! My warning low tire pressure light came on in my BMW 3x, I was going to ignore it because when it happened in my Lexus, it usually meant the spare tire was experiencing a change in climate and after the first couple of times I started to ignore it. So when the light came on today that was my first thought, ignore it. But I had a 300 mile drive ahead of me so I pulled into Discount tire and Antonio helped me. He was very professional and helpful. Found a screw in the tire and it had not punctured it. He checked air pressure in all my tires, showed me where to find the «tire pressure chart for my car and told me to check these «run flat» monthly. I left feeling relieved I didn’t ignore the light and Discount Tire was so helpful.

I sent the following text to Discount Tire to commend an employee:
I want to give kudos to Michael A. Cavazos (#305)…
I made an appointment for this morning (9÷9÷15) with a punctured front right tire that was still on my 2010 Prius and losing air and going flat within hours. I was told and then shown that the puncture was on the sidewall very close to the tread. After about a one-​hour wait (reasonable IMO) I was told that the tire had to be replaced. I asked them to put it back on and I’d find someone else that would fix it or I’d fix it myself. He marked the puncture location and said he was going to put the spare on. I fought this also and said I wanted the bad tire put back on so I could repair the tire with it on the car and not have to change tires. Michael persisted and said it was not safe to leave the bad tire on. I argued that I was responsible for my own safety but he wouldn’t budge. I said they were just concerned about a lawsuit. Michael said that he & Discount Tire really do care about my safety. I didn’t really want to replace it as I would need a new set in about 5,000 miles. Michael found a cheap tire ($ 60) and after I made a few calls to competitors, I realized Michael was right & I agreed to buy the tire. He then told me the tire was a display tire & would be much cheaper ($ 33). I was so pleased I apologized for being rude & uncooperative. After the way I acted, I did not expect to get such a great deal. I believe he really empathized with me & knowing that I was a long time faithful customer decided to do the right thing for his company and ensure that I would keep coming back. He looked up the Michelin Energy Saver A/​S ($ 600), what I want for my next full set, which I will come back to buy from him.
Michael A. Cavazos deserves recognition for staying professional and selfless with a cranky customer (me). This man showed that he & Discount Tire truly care about my safety & the safety of those that share the road with me. He got creative to give me a great deal which impressed me & was the one act that convinced me to remain a faithful customer of Discount Tire.

The service is great here. I would like to call out James and Jose for their exceptional customer skills. There was a long line to get to the desk but they made sure to let us know that they would help us as soon as possible. They were very cordial when helping people and didn’t diminish their quality of service just to get through the line. It’s good when your presence is acknowledged and you are going to be helped as soon as possible!

They were very friendly and and honest. Did not try to up sell me things I didn’t need. Offered me a water while I waited and the waiting area was clean. The service was quick and I had nothing to complain about what so ever. Definitely recommend.

I visited today to get my wheels installed. The process was straightforward: I purchased the wheels on their website, they delivered in a couple of days, I set my appointment. I went in and it took an hour to get everything installed. They were quite busy but made sure I was in and out within an hour (as promised). Zach at Discount Tire was very nice and it really shows they care about their customers.

It was a super busy Friday at the Discount Tire (July 3– day bf a holiday) and Antonio got me right in there and changed out pretty quickly. I did make a reservation online a few hours before, which might have helped some… But they were still super friendly and helpful considering how busy they were. Hopefully you get Antonio to help you if you go in… He was great. Thanks!

My experience at Discount Tires on Nelms Drive was utterly fantastic. I want to reemphasize what a previous Unilocaler wrote about going online first, comparing prices and then scheduling the appointment. Good luck finding a competitor because what you’ll find through price comparisons is that Discount Tire beats all other deals, including online, hands down.
Not only are the prices unbeatable but the customer service is the best in Austin. These guys really hustle and were able to get me in and out within an hour. I really want to recognize the manager, James, for being incredibly kind in taking care of the military, veterans and students by providing the biggest discounts and 5-​star stellar service. No B.S., he saved me over 200 bucks on new tires.
Overall, the store has an amazing vibe to it and provides a very relaxing atmosphere and experience. You won’t find loud televisions or overpowering sounds of machinery while you’re waiting in the clean, fully stocked lobby. It reminds me of a luxury car dealership waiting area. Even the children and babies are chill there. I found my new home here at Discount Tire and I will never go anywhere else. Really, the store kicks @$$!

I came here to get my air pressure checked before I went back home to spend time with family. One of my tire’s ended up having a nail in it. I was upset because I was ready to go and it was Friday. They were super busy at the shop and I thought it was going to take awhile to get it repaired. All of the staff was really courteous, efficient, and very helpful. I was in and out in seriously less than 40 minutes at no cost to me (I had the warranty). Even though I was initially disappointed in the beginning, I was happy to drive away in a safer vehicle because of the people here at Discount Tire!

Always get that tire warranty. I’ve gotten at least four tires replaces for about 20bucks each each of it.
ALWAYS MAKE AN APPOINTMENT ONLINE! This has saved me SO much time. I know that sometimes things happen last minute but if you are able to, make an appointment! They have a guarantee that they get you out in under an hour. I think it’s 45 mins but I’m not positive. I have always gotten out under an hour. These guys here are always awesome. They work with you in any way they can. They are always busy also. Whenever I have to get a tire replaced, there’s always a line and I’m so grateful that I have an appointment b/​c if you’re just waiting, who knows how long it’ll take!
I’ve taken all my cars here. My newest one, the tires weren’t from here but I had to get a new one and they offered warranty on all of them. Yes. They will sell you warranty on tires that you didn’t buy from them. So that was a year ago, I just came back last week to replace another tire and they found gash in ANOTHER one. I was thinking, gosh, now I have to pay for TWO tires?!? Sigh. But then the guy told me that I have warranty on it so it’s 18 buck for that tire! YES! I budgeted for one tire, got 2 tires replaced for the price of 1. :)
They have a customer for life! I have never had any issues with my tires. I think there was one tire that they didn’t cover but they state specifically what kind of damage they cover and don’t cover. The best place to get your tires in my opinion. They treat you right and treat you well!

My boyfriend and I went here to purchase new tires and wheels because some D-​bag stole them off his truck and left it on bricks (they didn’t even use whole bricks).

We actually found the tires/​wheels for a bit cheaper pricing online but the service completely made up for the price difference and here is why…
Adrian and another employee came after work to put the tires and wheels on (and it was his idea)! If that’s not going above and beyond than you obviously haven’t experienced it and need to go here.

A bit of a wait, but that is totally my fault, since I rolled in about 4 on a Friday afternoon (Holiday weekend, no less). The people were super nice and they made sure I was taken care of. I liked how they told me up front how long my wait would be. Shout out to Noe and David!

I always dread when the time comes to buy tires. I just really hate doing it. I not sure many people probably do. I hate spending my hard earned money on something like tires. Now on the flip side of that I know that it is important to have good set of tires that you can rely on. A few years back I bought some Michelin tires here and they have been awesome. They were not the cheap tires by any means, but they are lasting.
I love that every time I go to this discount tire store they are awesome. The staff is friendly. They know what they are doing and their routine works well. They run their shop like a well oiled machine and I like the consistency of the service. I tend to stop in here at least every 4 – 6 months for a tire rotation, air check or a nail in tire, and i can not say it enough … EVERY time they are awesome! Yesterday the air check guys were efficient, quick and super friendly. What more can you ask for? — nothing in my opinion.
Anyway if you are looking for tires go here. If you purchase your tires here you get free rotations. They patch up tires for free for you too. Clearly they have a system that is working and keeps their customers coming back. I love this location and I love discount tire. I have been using Discount Tire since I was a teenager … so that is half of my life … that has got to say something about them as a company!

Big fan of Discount Tire. Years, I mean YEARS can go by and somehow they can find you in the system and hook you up. My first awesome DT experience was when I got a flat, in Ohio, and they found me in the system, from CA!
Just recently, my tire blew out and knowing I’d purchased a couple tires from DT awhile back I cruised in there. You can make an appointment online or on the phone, or just stop on by. In about 20 minutes they rotated me up, and replaced the blown tire. I went ahead and paid the $ 17 insurance on the new tire, because this has saved my ass a bunch of times before. I repeat, GET THE INSURANCE because ti is totally worth it and you shizzo is practically free no matter what happens.
Friendly staff, large clean waiting room with water and coffee. Done.
