Dr Adam Weinfeld

I have literally been crippled for years with debilitating migraines. I had been going to neurologists who only made it worse. My experience with Dr. Weinfeld’s office was so very different, from my very first visit. I used to hate to have to chat with preliminary staff prior to seeing the physician, predicting correctly that I would only have to retell my story to the doctor when he came in. I did a mental eye roll when Jamie came in to discuss my visit prior to seeing the doctor. However, I found that she fully engaged me and took the time to discuss and address my issues. I was still concerned when Rachel came in to discuss the treatment shortly thereafter, but she was already caught up on my case and there was no duplication of effort. These two ladies manage to be extremely friendly and caring, but are extremely efficient and very productive. When Dr. Weinfeld came in, I still expected to have to repeat myself, even though it all should have been in my chart by then. To my surprise, it was, and he was up to speed! He immediately addressed the fact that my type of migraine was probably different from that of the «one-​size-​fits-​all» neurology protocol for Botox. He described his plan to customize my injections to more directly respond to my specific areas of pain. Ebony then tirelessly worked on getting my insurance to cover the procedure, and kept me informed on her progress. When I went in today I was taken immediately, seen quickly by the doctor who was current on what had been previously discussed. He took the time to reiterate it all again for my approval, then carefully injected according to what we agreed.
This office and staff are truly exceptional, and I have every confidence that this treatment will address my particular pain. I was asked to call if for any reason it did not work as hoped… that in itself is unusual from a doctor! This is a place where you are actually listened to, heard, and treated with courtesy and professionalism. You won’t be sorry – this is a truly great doctor and staff!

My 19 year old daughter had revision rhinoplasty with Dr. Weinfeld. The preoperative appointments were informative and comprehensive. Dr. Weinfeld and his staff supported us through the entire process, taking the time to answer all of our questions and address our concerns. He was especially caring in really listening to my daughter express her desired result and helping her understand the procedure completely. Additionally, he recommended a preoperative diet that would aid in reducing her inflammation postoperatively and it really worked. Her bruising was so minimal that we were amazed.
During her six hour surgery at Seton we received updates from the operating room reassuring my husband and I that all was well. Needless to say, it was extremely comforting. Dr. Weinfeld wished for our daughter to spend the night for observation and the medical staff at Seton were outstanding in managing her pain and giving us all very compassionate care. I was diagnosed with breast cancer in September of 2015. I was fortunate to have a close family friend, who was very familiar with the breast cancer industry and the physicians specializing in this field. She’d been a representative, selling implants for reconstruction, for over 20 years.
She worked with many surgeons at MD Anderson in Houston, and was very familiar with their work and their reputations.
She referred me to Dr. Adam Weinfeld (plastic surgeon) in Austin, Texas, and he referred me to Dr. Rebecca Freer (breast surgeon), also practicing in Austin.
Before my first consultation, I was traumatized by the news, and the uncertainty of not knowing what I was up against.
Dr. Weinfeld and Dr. Freer were both amazing from the first time we spoke, until our final meeting in January of 2016. I’d never known anyone personally, who had been through this, so I had no idea what to expect. The idea of having my breasts removed was unthinkable and extremely scary!
If anyone would have told me a year ago, I would look the way I do now, I wouldn’t have believed them. My hopes were, to be cancer free and look somewhat normal, at the end of all this.
I know each case is unique, so I can only speak about is my own reconstruction. It was a long, physical, and emotional process, but after a year of surgeries, all my expectations were met and surpassed.
I had no idea, just how good their work was, until I had my final procedure (3D nipple tattooing), completed in October of 2015. I did a lot of research, and had my tattoos done by the famous Vinnie Meyers team from Maryland. This team of experts, travel all over the US to offer 3D tattooing for breast reconstruction patients. There are very few certified in 3D nipple tattooing, and even fewer specialists.
The Vinnie Meyers team made it clear, my reconstruction team did an amazing job. They said; «We’ve seen thousands, and your reconstruction is in the top 5% of what we’ve seen». They confirmed what I already felt about my results, but their words made me feel even more grateful.
I am currently cancer free! I feel and look great, even in a bathing suit! The only visual reminders I have, are my diminishing surgical scars, and they’re only visible when I’m completely nude.

After extensive research, I had a facelift by Dr. Weinfeld in Jan 2015. All of the females in our family realize that we inherited «Memaw eyes» meaning by the age of 40 we would need a blepharoplasty just to be able to see. My eyes have never been so beautiful! That is my favorite part. Before, I just didn’t look like myself anymore. I was a happy, positive person but I looked like grumpy cat. Now I can smile. My cheeks and jowls are where they belong. It only helps a little with wrinkles but I am now getting facial treatments for my wrinkles. An added benefit was loosing 20 pounds from the diet he put me on before surgery to help with healing and decrease swelling/​bruising. I am so glad I did this. Go for it!

Dr. Weinfeld is a highly respected surgeon for good reason. And he is kind and easy to talk with — he thoughtfully considered all of my concerns. He gave me plenty of time to discuss my fear and anxiety about possible outcomes. When it was time for the surgery, I was confident in his abilities as well as his personal concern for the outcome. I am very happy with my breast reconstruction, which was a result of breast cancer. He did an amazing job and his skill and caring attitude were mainly responsible for my complete emotional and physical recovery. I’ll always be grateful to him.

Dr. Weinfeld did a breast lift and brachioplasty (arm lift) for me. I wish I had never had it done.

When I decided to have rhinoplasty, I took the search for an amazing surgeon very seriously. I spent hours pouring over reviews on several sites, and asked around. I work with a woman who was a pharmaceutical rep for years, and she keeps a «best-​of-​the-​best» list. Adam Weinfeld was her top guy for all things reconstructive. She had never even met the man, but she gathered her information from many medical professionals… Talk about high recommendations!
After reading everything on his website, (I loved his mission statements and his eloquent command of language) and seeing his numerous before and after photo galleries, I decided to go for a consultation. First impression? He truly cares about my concerns and he’s super easy to talk to. He wanted to see pictures of what I liked, (I had a celebrity Pinterest gallery on my iPad), he listened closely and we joked around a bit about the celebrities. After I stated what I wanted, I asked to him, «you’re the artist, what do you think I need?» He swung his chair around, looked at me, and described *exactly* what I had in mind. Yes, let’s book it!
Fast forward to surgery day… I arrived at the lovely surgery center and was greeted and tended to my the fine staff at Meridian surgery center. Vitals taken, IV started, and Dr. Weinfeld came to see me one last time before the start of the procedure to be sure we were on the same page as far as the desired outcome was concerned. Now it’s «go-​time» and I walked into the operating room and laid down on the table… That’s the very last thing I can remember before waking up in the recovery area. Total black-​out!
Recovery over the next 6 days, (leading up to my post-​op appointment) was pretty easy. I was prescribed 50 pain pills, but only needed 24. I was pain free in 3.5 days. During the post-​op appointment, Dr. Weinfeld removed the splints and let me take a peek before applying tape to keep the swelling down for the next 3 days. Needless to say, I was beyond thrilled! And this is seeing the results only 6 days later! I have a cute little ski-​slope nose!
Bottom line, stop searching. You’ve found your artist… I mean, surgeon. Before I even had my surgery, I realized 2 of my clients, (I’m a hairdresser) have been to him as well. When I told them who would be performing my procedure, they both got really excited that it was him. And by the way– my two clients are nurses. Seriously, I think the man has groupies! I’d fly anywhere in the world to see him. He’s the perfectionist everybody wants to have in a surgeon.

I LOVE Dr. Weinfeld and his staff! I will be having my 3^rd surgery this Wednesday to finish up my breast cancer reconstruction. I feel completely comfortable with them and trust his opinion 100%. Thanks to Dr. Weinfeld I now feel normal again after the last year! Thank you all for your wonderful service!!!

I had an eyelid lift (blepharoplasty) for drooping lids 2 weeks ago with Dr. Weinfeld and couldn’t be happier. I found him on a great plastic surgery website called «Real​self​.com» (which is worth checking out– has TONS of photos and patient reviews and specific information about each procedure)
Austin a number of good plastic surgeons but I think Dr. Weinfeld is the best in town. I’ll give you 3 reasons why:
1. I liked the photos of the work he did. Nothing was overdone and nothing was poorly done. Plain and simple. All of his patients looked natural and they looked proportional and were aesthetically pleasing. It is one thing to have excellent surgical skills, there are brilliant surgeons in every medical specialty; neurosurgeons, orthopedic surgeons, cardiac surgeons, etc. Plastic Surgeons require those same meticulous technical abilities, but in addition, they MUST have an true artist’s eye, which can’t necessarily be taught. While my surgery was relatively simple, this review is written for others who are considering much bigger surgeries and are comparing physicians before they make this major decision that will affect their life. An alteration of your face or breasts is consequential because it is something you will critique again and again, every single time you look in the mirror)
2. He was recommended by 2 other ER doctors who have both worked beside him on surgical trauma cases at both Brackenridge and Dell Hospitals. They have seen his work on many tragic injuries requiring difficult facial repairs and major reconstruction with miraculous results. Both said he would be their choice for their own family members. Impressive.
3. I originally emailed 3 plastic surgeons at the same time and left 3 voice messages asking to set up a consult as quickly as possible. I had a son’s wedding coming up in 6 weeks and desperately wanted to try to have it done before then, with time to heal. Of the 3 doctors I contacted, he was the first to email me and then that next morning, his office was also the first to call me back to set up an appointment. I set it up and although he had a 6 week wait for first opening, I ask (begged) to be put on a wait-​list for any cancellation. I lucked out and was able to get in 2 weeks later, which was just 2 weeks ago. And it was perfect! No one in my family thought I should do it. They thought I looked fine just like I was and being ridiculous. (I’m 55 and everything looks pretty «normal» for my age but my eyes looked much more droopy than other friends my same age and made me me look tired and sad. Which I don’t feel at all!) Now, 2 weeks later… Every Single Person in my family says it was amazing and absolutely worth doing… my husband, daughters and son and even my critical mother ! ;) The scars are invisible and I haven’t had one person even notice or ask if I’ve «had something done or had surgery»? I’ve just had several friends, just in the past 2 weeks, say to me, «You look great»! I could Not ask for more.
I know this is a really long review but as I said before, it is an important decision and I want be specifically complimentary of his well-​run office, the respect he is given by his peers and most especially my perfect results.
* (one last thing I didn’t mention but was an important consideration was the cost!) I loved the fact that Dr. Weinfeld had specific price posted on
for the eyelid lift that I wanted and it seemed reasonable and fair. It was the same price paid by two friends who went to an occuloplastic surgeon for this exact eyelid (blepharoplasty) procedure and it was much less than my friend who chose another plastic surgeon.

I can’t say enough wonderful things about my experience with Dr. Weinfeld. He performed a full abdominoplasty (tummy tuck) on me about six weeks ago and I couldn’t be more happy with the results. After losing 75 lbs over the last two years, I had a lot of excess skin and no matter how hard I worked out, I couldn’t change the look of my unsightly stomach. Every time I saw my stomach I was transported back to the overweight person I used to be!
When I decided to look into surgery, I researched 4 different well known doctors in the area. Dr. Weinfeld, however, had something special — he was knowledgable and forthcoming about the procedure, the side effects, and risks but he also took time and special interests to really address my concerns and my priorities for the surgery. After several consultations where we talked through my particular surgical requirements, I was very confident that I had selected the right surgeon!!! Cynthia, his nurse, worked tirelessly with me to schedule my surgery, due to my extremely difficult travel schedule. Despite the fact that I had to reschedule multiple times, she was always so patient and pleasant!!! Not to mention how helpful she was answering questions throughout the whole process!
On the day of the surgery, Dr. Seinfeld once again reviewed with me the steps in the process and my special requirements and I felt confident and at ease going into surgery. That same special attention was given throughout my recovery as well.
Now, six weeks later, I see a beautiful stomach and a more confident woman that is no longer held down by the scars of my past!!! Thank you Dr. Weinfeld for your amazing work and the special care you gave to me and the gift that it has given me.

I had migraine surgery which is not approved by the FDA. I read about the studies done at Case Western with Dr. Guyuron. I googled Guyuron and Austin migraine surgery and came up with Dr. Weinfeld who studied with him. I went for a couple of years for Botox, and then decided to try the surgery. Results with Botox were better but not great. I had the surgery in June, 2013, and I seem to be getting better and better. Mirgraines are much better than with Botox. I started with migraines pre-​menopausal, and they just increased through the years. I was having them several times a week. The surgery is not easy and recovery is slower than I imagined, but the results are worth it. Dr. Weinfeld did an excellent job.

Dr. Weinfeld is awesome! I had a single breast mastectomy over 3 years ago with a partial reconstruction that became infected, so the expander had to be removed (complications and treatment all with different doctors). Years went by — with only one breast — and I was afraid I wouldn’t have the courage to go through with reconstruction. Over that time, I had a couple scares with my remaining breast, and I had determined that when I had reconstruction, I was going to have my remaining breast removed and start over with reconstruction on both. I consulted with a couple of doctors who were not encouraging. Dr. Weinfeld was recommended to me by two different friends, and right from the first I could tell he was the doctor for me. He treated me like a person and not another breast cancer case. He was very encouraging and assured me that I was a candidate for the exact kind of reconstruction I wanted. I had a DIEP flap procedure and it went beautifully. I just had a fat grafting surgery to regain some more symmetry and he did some scar revision on the ends of abdominal wound — and I got nipples. I couldn’t be happier. I feel more like my old self than I have since this cancer journey began, more like myself than I ever imagined. As I told Dr. Weinfeld, I feel like a butterfly — with new wings to fly. In fact, a butterfly seems an appropriate metaphor for my the end of my cancer journey, because I feel like I had been cocooned for the last 3 years, and was feeling quite helpless at times. But that has changed! Thank you Dr. Weinfeld, Cynthia, Geysha and Lisa (his wonderful staff), for all your kindness and professionalism at all my visits and during all my calls. I am forever grateful.

This surgical practice is simply the best in Austin, TX. Dr Weinfeld & his staff are fantastic! They listen to your wishes, address your concerns about your upcoming procedures and above all, respect you as a person. Their professionalism is outstanding. You will be treated like a good friend every time you visit this practice.
One of the best features of Dr. Weinfelds’ office is the fact that his cosmetic surgery patients are greeted by his receptionist and immediately escorted to a private waiting room, away from the staring eyes of the other patients waiting to be seen by his associates. (A real blessing if you had facial cosmetic surgery!)
Dr Weinfeld displays excellent judgement in selecting the best procedure for each individual patients’ requests. He is well-​educated, has superior surgical skills and is current on all of the latest techniques. He is genuine in his approach to patients. He will help each patient set realistic goals by explaining all of the alternatives available. The compassion Dr. Weinfeld extends to patients make him the obvious choice for your cosmetic procedures. He has taken care of me. I would never go to anyone else!

I had bilateral mastectomies 30 years ago with reconstruction using implants. Over the years I have had problems with leakage and scarring. Dr. Weinfeld skillfully corrected these complications with excellent cosmetic results.
I was so pleased that I asked him to do a tummy tuck with liposuction. Again Dr. Weinfeld’s results were excellent. Not only is he a skilled surgeon but his ability to communicate with his patients left me well linformed and comfortable with my choices.
I would not hesitate to use Dr. Weinfeld again. I feel and my body looks ten years younger.

This guy is a total badass when it comes to plastic surgery! I had to have sinus and nasal reconstructive surgery in January. My ENT, Dr Kriesel referred me to Dr. Weinfeld.
I was super nervous to have surgery, especially on my face. I didn’t want my nose to look different and desperately wanted to breathe out of it properly. He did just that! I can breathe and my nose looks perfect! It seems the same but just looks SO much better!
What I can’t stress enough about Weinfeld is his skill. I healed so fast. I was out in public 4 days after surgery and NEVER felt any pain. Not kidding. It just didn’t hurt. I have friends who had rhinoplasty and they looked like fat little raccoons for weeks after surgery and were miserable. Not me! Hardly any swelling, no black eyes and hardly any bruising at all. So happy that Dr. Kriesel (who is equally as awesome) referred me to him.

I had squamous cell skin cancer in the center of my left side of my face right under my cheek bone – It was deeper than originally thought – Today is the end of the 4^th week after surgery and I met with Dr. Weinfeld, my surgeon today. I don’t have to tell you that after surgery I had a BOAT load of stitches that started at my temple, curving over passed my cheek bone, down passed my nose to right under my chin! It was horrific when I first looked at it after surgery – There must have been 200 stitches in my face. I have followed Dr. Weinfelds instructions. I got my stitches out the following week – then he had me apply silicone scar patches to my scar until our visit today. My friends could NOT believe after TWO weeks how incredible my scar looked – you can barely TELL that I have had surgery. This man has the most blessed hands and is the MOST talented plastic surgeron – besides being a totally incredible NICE and concerned doctor.
I have to go back in 3 months – Today he said they got every single BIT of the cancer – Told me the sunscreen to use forever now, and told me the nake-​up to buy until the scar is gone-​when I want to wear makeup – I HIGHLY recommend this doctor to ANYONE having surgery on their face or any kind of plastic surgery – I will NEVER ever have to look further than his office at Seton Institue for Reconstructive plastic surgery in BRACKENRIDGE hospital on 1400 1−35 – for anything that has to do with scars – His specialty I heard from my other doctors is NOSES – This wasn’t even his «specialty” – and he absolutely blows me away with how he tenderly took that cancer and, cut it out of my face and left me with a beautifully intact face! I thought I was going to be scarred and marred for the rest of my life – but I had the BEST and I can go about my life now with my head and face held HIGH! tHANK yOU SO MUCH dR. wEINFELD!!! You are a gift!!!
