I haven’t had my braids in for a month, and many of them have come out. I paid nearly $ 200 for braids that don’t look like it.

Ok I have mixed feelings about this place, don’t get me wrong their work is good! However they are not very welcoming, they stare at you when you walk in which is very awkward! You have to question them first about who is going to do your hair, then you don’t get in the chair as soon as you get their you have to wait a lonnnnnng time. I love their work I just hate their customer service.

FYI Take your business some where else this shop is one lacking in a lot of ways if a client tells you the braid is too TIGHT then you as a braider should not just keep braiding the same way. And yes they do talk about the clients which is sad because with out that client they would not be in business if you are looking for a professional shop E & G Hair Braiding is not the one. Don’t waste your time nor your money.

I’m definitely not planning to return to this shop. As many others mentioned, the customer service is severely lacking. I was never introduced to the women braiding my hair and that for me is a big deal(especially since when I made my appointment, I requested a specific person). I repeatedly told the stylist that the braids were too tight and she just chuckled each time. The requests of the patron — whether realistic or absurd — should at least be addressed in a professional manner. The shop is also very unorganized. It was like musical chairs in there. No one stylist or customer stayed at one chair. I understand not being able to afford a larger space, but at least work together to establish some sort of order.

Very unprofessional. I sent a picture of a style I wanted for my hair(goddess braids) and was told it would be $ 50. I show up for my appointment and had to wait about half an hour while the girl that was going to do my hair finished someone else(I understand running behind schedule, but my time is money, too and I could have been doing something else). When she finished, I showed her the picture again, to refresh her memory. I was then told that she would be unable to do it and that I NEEDED to find another hair style. After turning her back to speak in her native tongue to the other stylist(and eat lunch), I finally asked what the delay was. I was told that BECAUSEMYHAIRWASNATURAL, they wouldn’t be able to do the goddess braids and that I needed to find another goddess braids style. They only work on relaxed hair? GIGANTIC waste of my time. I wish I’d thought to read reviews before calling to make an appointment.

VERYUNPROFESSIONAL… I wish I had read these reviews before I wasted my time with this shop. I called to make an appointment and receive pricing. The appointment was set for a Friday afternoon at 12:30. I showed up at the door to no one being in the shop. I called and texted numerous times and as of today a Monday morning I have yet to receive any type of response, no explanation, no apology. My time was wasted and my hair is not braided. I DONOTRECOMMENDTHISSHOP!!!

This shop does good work but my reason for the low score is the inconsistency of the pricing. The style you pay for is based off of the person, not the actual work performed. I witness two clients that received the same style I did, stayed in the chair the same amount of time I did, hair stop about 4 inches less than mine and was charged $ 70 less after I was told that the length I requested would be no more than $ 200. I was also upset about the hair color that was used to complete my hair. They did not have the color I wanted and instead of telling me that, they used what they had.

I would like to update my review because somehow folks are confusing the point of my review. First off I know that you all native language is French, I too speak it as well. This is how I new that the customers in the braid shop that day were being talked about in a negative way. I have a problem with the customer service period and the negative conversations that were being had amongst the hair braiders about the patrons.
