Edward Jones at 6001 W William Cannon Austin TX has an extreme lack of knowledge and experience as a financial advisor. Every visit I have at this branch leads me to be more and more frustrated. I have to communicate myself multiple times over easy financial questions. I have been charged an absurd amount of commissions and fees through the last couple of years affecting any profits that were achieved from my funds.
Many brokerages don’t charge commissions, and those that do charge a much lower amount than EJ. Closing the accounts was torture. EJ charges HUGE amount of fees. $ 95 for each account. If you have 4 IRA’s, that will be $ 360. In addition they will charge you for annual fees, etc. I will NEVER use EJ again. Lesson learned. Luckily I have many more years with a much better brokerage firm.
