Eggleston Oral & Facial Surgery

I tried to get into my regular dentist because I had an emergency with my wisdom teeth and they needed to come out RIGHT AWAY! This office got me in the next day. I’d never had anesthesia before and the nurse who initially took my x-​ray, etc… made me very comfortable and calm. Dr Eggleston himself put me at complete ease and was knowledgeable. I’ve never had such a great, and painless dental experience in my life!!!

Great consultation with Dr. Eggleston! Scheduled my appointment for 3 wisdom teeth to be removed and was very nervous. I came in for my appointment, the nurses and doctor treated me perfect and was out of there in an hour. The pain lasted a day and went back to work the next day. Highly recommend Dr. Eggleston. Dr. Eggleston absolutely knows what he is doing when it comes to wisdom teeth! His calm demeanor gave me the confidence I needed to get the procedure done. His staff is all very friendly and helpful. Even when I had terrible pain after the surgery, Dr. Eggleston answered my phone calls all throughout the night and immediately sent the necessary prescriptions. They worked around my schedule for every appointment and I live in San Marcos!

Dr. Eggleston’s comment back to my review verges on condescension and shows a lack of care about what actually happened over a year ago. As I said– do yourself a favor and go somewhere else.

Staff is very nice and genuinely cares, but this is my third appointment here and have waited 20+ minutes each time, despite showing up to appointments on time. I find this very unprofessional, and there are no excuses to consistently do this to patients.

I was referred to Dr. Eggleston from my usual dentist to have my two bottom wisdom teeth (17, 32) removed. It has now been two weeks since the extraction.
In May, I called to book my initial appointment for x-​rays and consultation. Their front desk lady is a very pleasant person. She had me booked for two weeks later. On the day of the appointment, I had the x-​rays taken and talked to Dr. Eggleston about the procedure. My first impression was that he was a slightly intimidating person, but he was thoroughly informative. He recommended taking out the impacted top wisdom teeth at the same time (I declined) and explained my options for sedation/​anesthesia. He answered all the questions I had, and most of my worries about the procedure were blown away. I payed for x-​rays and the front desk lady gave me an estimate for just the bottom teeth extraction and an estimate for all four wisdom teeth extraction. Again, I chose to only do the bottom two and had the procedure scheduled for a few weeks later.
I was informed that the procedure would take about an hour, so that’s what I relayed to my designated driver for that day (I chose to be knocked out for the extraction). I arrived 10 minutes early on the day of the procedure and was called in on time. I was out cold a minute or two after the IV was inserted. When I came to, I felt like I had just closed my eyes and hardly any time had passed. The procedure only took about 20 minutes and there were no complications. The assistant/​technician explained to me and my DD about the prescription and post-​op care, and we were on our way home.
I had a follow-​up appointment a week later. The wisdom holes were healing up just fine, but my chin and half of my lower lip were still numb/​tingly so some nerve tests were done. The numbness/​tingly sensation gradually subsided over the following month.
TLDR: I received great, professional service from Dr. Eggleston and his staff. A star was taken off because there were a couple of very minor clerical mishaps, which were, of course, properly resolved.

I am a 34 year old who needed to have my right 2 wisdom teeth (#1 and #32) removed this morning. I am also a Marine no longer on active duty. The Corps did a number on me as far as oral care, and I am very apprehensive about having work done in my mouth since. But I had a lower, right wisdom tooth break, and so I decided to get it removed. My consultation with Dr. Eggleston was great. He told me exactly what the procedure entailed, explained my choices of anesthesia vs. sedation, and told me what it would cost in full. He also examined the upper wisdom tooth and found some things that could necessitate removal later, so we decided to do both at the same time.
On the day of my appointment, today, the staff made sure I was very comfortable. I opted to go with only Lidocaine as opposed to sedation. My roots looked close together and straight forward, so sedation did not seem necessary. Dr. Eggleston gave me the first couple of injections very carefully, and even the slight pinch of the initial injection was not bad at all. Once he gave it some time to take effect, he gave me the remainder of the injections and they were all fine.
Extraction of the top tooth was very quick and I did not feel a thing. The bottom tooth was a bit more stubborn, and while working on it there was a slight pinch of pain I could feel in my jaw as he was working the tooth out. But as soon as I made a sound, he stopped and administered more anesthetic while examining the area and tooth to find the source. Once we got that sorted, he worked the tooth a bit more and it popped right out with no pain.
The procedure in total took less than an hour. It is now 13:00 (My teeth were extracted between 08:00 and 09:00). My apprehension about the extractions from my experiences in the Corps was the worst part of the whole thing. :) The staff was very good when explaining what I needed to do for the next few days, post procedure, prior to my follow up. I have no pain right now, and I have not used any of the prescribed pain medication, or ibuprofen. The extractions were not bad at all, and in the future I may need to get the two left wisdom teeth removed as well. If that is the case, I will definitely be returning to Dr. Eggleston.

I am a doctor who did much research deciding who my boyfriend should see for an extremely complicated and expensive set of surgical procedures. Dr. Todd Eggleston is an extremely skilled and experienced dental surgeon. I had a difficult implant procedure that involved removing the old tooth, a sinus lift and bone graft, and Dr. Eggleston was exceptional. His office staff is caring and efficient, and I felt really cared for during the months that the procedure required to complete.

I was very apprehensive to get my wisdom teeth out since the first dentist that checked me out said I was a high risk patient for various reasons. He referred me to Dr. Eggleston.
I am writing this the day after my procedure and must admit that I am hardly experiencing any discomfort at all. At my consultation Dr. Eggleston was very thorough describing what he would do and the different risks involved. I was told of all the fees up front. The didn’t charge me for the panoramic x-​ray they took. That alone cost me $ 100 at the first place I went to and it had to be redone because it was not done well. His entire staff was super friendly, and he was very kind and did an amazing job on the procedure. Once those painkillers kicked in I was more than fine, but that was yesterday. As of right now, I have not taken any painkillers in over 10 hours and I can hardly feel anything at all.
Dr. Eggleston is an oral surgeon, not just a dentist. So if you know you need someone with a lot of experience and training beyond that of a regular dentist see him.
