Elite Racing Development

Came here today with my GTR for some basic service and was impressed. The shop was well organized and you can tell everyone that works there are «car guys». They fit me in last minute and took the time to explain the process which was rare. I’m very particular about my vehicles and will definitely be back soon.

Here’s my experience with Elite Racing Development.
First, it was hard to get shop time. These guys keep busy and are well-​known on the Austin sportscar scene. At least half the cars in their shop were track-​ready cars, and that is their focus. They’re not a typical service shop, for sure — but they have the best dyno, tire installation machine, and alignment rack available. You can’t do the best work without the best tools, right?
Despite having a full shop that was made busier by the sudden departure of an employee, Ashton worked me into his schedule. He and his crew made me feel welcome, and they made it clear they love cars — from Chevy to Ferrari.
I had various track preparation work done: installation of a harness bar with harnesses, a custom brake/​clutch fluid reservoir, TPMS sensors on my custom wheels, and various fluid changes. Everything was done to the highest standard and I am a picky guy.
Furthermore, they accidentally performed a service that was not on my list. Ashton promptly removed that from my bill, without making a fuss or making me uncomfortable.
Will you be able to walk into Elite Racing and get same-​day service? No. However, if you have a high-​performance or track car, there’s no better shop in Austin. Enough said…

This place is horrible. The owner is more concerned about bragging in regards to what cars are sitting in his shop than actually working on your vehicle and making a new client. If your car is not some exotic than he will claim he has not time to work on it or push an appointment back for months. Why have a business if you only cater to cars you want to actually work on and turn everyone else away? Or at least advertise that fact to the public. I just find it very unprofessional to constantly talk about the work you have done or currently doing rather than focusing on the client in front of you. All these pictures of foreign cars but yet every time I have visited the shop no one is really working. Everyone is standing around high fiving eachother talking about how cool this car is blah blah blah that is sitting around in their shop.
