What I like best about Dr. Hollander is he found a cavity in an odd place(side bottom fang) and opted to try to save it by removing all decay instead of straight to the ancient ways of old — root canal. It worked! Then, I got a personal call that evening to check on me. Pretty good stuff! Nice staff, too.

A dental check up is just part of the routine people have to put up with. I had my first visit for the typical check up and cleaning. Overall, from the dental hygienist to Dr. Hollander himself, my first time thinking a dentist appt. as pleasant. Who would have thought. :)

Still the best in AUSTIN — especially if you dislike ANY sort of dental work at all. I live in South Austin and make the drive, as does my entire family — it’s with this. The entire staff is friendly, caring and gentle. We have never had a bad experience and wouldn’t go any place else. I really can’t say enough great things about this dental office… I will stop gushing now :)

I went to Dr. Hollander because one of the implant crowns placed a year ago by another dentist came out and that dentist is no longer in practice. The appointment was quick, and painless for my mouth and pockets. He also gave a ref for other implants I am having completed. His staff was also fantastic. Thank you Thank you Thank you. Quick and easy/

Dr. Hollander is kind, compassionate, intelligent and a stellar dentist. I’ve had all my dental work done by him for at least the past five years and I will never go anywhere else. I’ve had basic cleaning to crowns done and he is always so gentle and calming. He has the BEST chair side demeanor, always professional yet funny just when you need it! Kim the office manager, is always cheerful and accommodating. Matter of fact, the whole team is amazing! I never see too many new faces working here, and I like that. That means whoever is about to have my mouth at their mercy is darn happy to be there that day! I also take our 7 year old son in regularly, he actually looks forward to going to the dentist. It gives me such comfort to know he will never have a traumatic experience like I did with old school dentists. Dr. Hollander and his team are the best in Austin and if I could give 10 stars I would!

Dr. Hollander and all the staff here are outstanding. I recommend them to everyone. I had a crown that was put on several years ago that was ill fitting, and caused problems, it was replaced by a different dentist, also fit poorly. Finally, Dr. Hollander has alleviated this problem. It took a few adjustments on the bite, which were free of charge. Cleanings are a breeze. Great office with televisions by the chairs, nice touch:)

I went in at least four times and only got an x-ray the first time. By the time I went to the specialist, the bone was GONE. I was in excruciating pain for over a month and could barely eat. This could have been caught earlier if instead of dismissing my concerns about the tooth being loose, more x-rays had been done or I’d been sent to someone with better expertise sooner. I’m now permanently terrified of going to the dentist.

I’m not a fan of the dentist by any stretch of the imagination, so when my wife made and EARLY morning appointment for me, I was none too thrilled. But, «happy wife, happy life», so I went. The entire staff at Dr. Hollander’s office is fantastic. Easily one of the more friendly, genial staffs I’ve ever experienced in any doctor’s office. They were pretty thorough, measuring my gums, taking x-rays, asking questions. I was impressed by some of the cool technology I’d never seen or experienced. My time w/Dr. Hollander was brief, but he looked my teeth over. I’ve never had braces or a cavity, or any other dental issue, so I’m not much of a test case for a dentist’s skills. But, I was impressed w/him. He’s a very nice guy and seems to really care about his patience. In a doctor’s office, you can tell a lot about a doctor by reading his staff. Staffs always follow the doctor’s lead. If he’s a petulant jerk, they are as well. If he’s(or she) is thoughtful, caring, and thorough, so are they. All in all it was a great visit, and for the first time ever, I can say I’m actually looking forward to going back to the dentist. ~ Fabricio
