She specializes in not just voice lessons, but vocal coaching, combatting stage fright, performance coaching, music theory and piano training, and audition preparation, as well as helping stage musicians build confidence and chops while learning to stay vocally healthy amidst a demanding schedule.

History

Established in 2002.

After completing a Bachelor of Music degree at the University of North Texas (alongside classmate Norah Jones), and a Master of Music degree at the Lamont School of Music in Denver, Julie Fiore made Austin home in 2007 with over five yrs of private teaching experience.

Julie’s students have always possessed unexpected backgrounds. She noticed right away that singer-​songwriters, jazz singers, lead vocalists for local bands, and even a few «metalheads» were asking for lessons. Mixed in with talented young theater/​choir singers and a few «American Idol» semi-​finalists, the studio has enjoyed vibrant diversity.

With other pros recommending Julie to their singers, the studio has boomed with talented vocalists and artists. Julie continues to nurture this growth with an accessible, holistic approach to singing and an encouraging, respectful treatment of each individual student. Join us!

Business Owner

My name is Julie, and I hope to guide you towards more comfortable, confident, consistent singing — regardless of genre or voice type.

For a little over fourteen years, I have been a professional singer and voice teacher /​performance coach. I am fortunate to have studied with some of the industry’s finest clinicians, teachers, coaches, performance psychologists, and vocal pedagogues, and I have performed across the United States and Europe, in some of the world’s greatest concert halls and venues.

Everyday, I am thankful to share my experiences and expertise with dedicated, bright, and uniquely talented students. I am equally committed to help YOU realize your goals and experience vocal growth and performance stability.

I maintain an active performance calendar, singing rep from classical to folk to jazz. You can catch me on stage with my company One Ounce Opera, or collaborating with some of Austin’s most respected artists and musicians.
