Visited tonight and the service was very good. The food is great too, good burgers. This gentleman named Manny helped me out and he was excellent. He was patient and helpful and he helped me order a really good side of veggies with my burger. Thanks Manny!

The burger did not stay together but it was really good and fresh. The fries are some of the best I’ve had from a burger place.

Something happened to this place. I’ve been eating at this location and the one near campus since they opened. I’ve always thought their burgers were among the best in Austin. A burger is like a steak – what you don’t do to it is more important than what you do do to it. A little salt, a little pepper, and don’t mash it when you’re cooking it. Pretty simple. I’ve always appreciated that Five Guys seems to get this(unlike some of the other celebrated burger places in Austin). Unfortunately, the last two times I ate at this location, the quality of the food has taken a dive. Not sure what’s driving this change(new management, a change in suppliers?), but I hope they get it together. P. S. The service hasn’t changed. The people who work here are just as nice as they always have been.

I had a funny experience. I ordered a burger and fries at 945 by phone. When i got to it at Wm Cannon and MoPac and walked to the counter the burger was ready. The guy at the counter yelled Drop The Fries. I said don’t do that, I dont want to wait… and get rushed greasy fries. The lady about to drop them was nice enough to yell out. … You Have To Tell Us To Drop The Fries When You Call. Did not know that. Burger, not notable.

It took them 15 minutes waiting at the register before anyone even acknowledged us. The place was busy, and they were short staffed, but it was a nightmare. When the man finally took our order, he asked if we wanted any fountain drinks. We bought two, walked over to fountain, and it was out of everything but diet dr pepper, fanta, and coke zero. They would not refund us for the drinks, and should have told us that they were out of basically everything before selling it to us. It took over half an hour to get our food after we’d ordered. Won’t be back.

Went to five guys for the second time after a long waiting period. It was exactly as I remembered… Unseasoned beef and some of the worst fries I’ve ever had. Note to five guys… Fries should ALWAYS be crispy! You cannot dunk fresh cut potatoes in oil. There is too much moisture and you end up with the limp floppy«fries». That you serve. With so many awesome burger options in Austin, don’t waste your time.

I hadn’t had a hamburger in 7 years. Plenty of veggie burgers, but no beef had touched my lips in many moons. I had heard this place was good so we gave it a try. I ordered the«little» cheeseburger, but there wasn’t anything little about it. It was… ahhhhhh…delicious. The«little» order of fries were also abundant. The guys working there were very friendly & the service was great. And for those of you with celiac or who are low-carbin’ it, my daughter said that their lettuce wrapped, double bacon cheeseburger with grilled onions & mushrooms was the the best she’s ever had. And she is an expert in all things gluten free ;)

Surprised by the mediocre reviews. Best burger and fries in town. It is expensive, but the burger is a double and the fries will feed two.

Five Guys has ok burgers and fries but is overpriced. Especially, at this location. The inside temperature on my last 2 visits was freezing inside. I guess they didn’t want to pay for the heat. I excused it the first time and went back on another cold day and learned they just don’t turn on the heat. They don’t care about the customers here. They charge a lot and cut corners on keeping the place clean and comfortable.

Filthy and overpriced! Visited this location yest. and first thing I noticed since not visiting this chain in almost a year was that the prices had all gone up AGAIN! I know they did this in 2013 also. now over $ 12 for a basic burger, small fries and large ice tea(unsweet). You can get the same quality at local chain P. Terry’s for under $ 8. Although food tasted good and similar to my last visit at the 5Gs in Wellington, FL I noticed the areas under all the tables had so many food crumbs and debris accumulated(Big Ewwwwwwwwww). Bet they hadn’t thoroughly swept there in at least a week. Needless to say my appetite quickly turned. Luckily I was almost through with my meal when I saw all this filth. Save yor money and appetite by avoiding this place unless u pressed for time.

Lack of customer service ruined the experience. We will not be back to this Five Guys. maybe not to any of them. While the line wasn’t long there was only one order cashier working. He didn’t seem properly trained and didn’t seem motivated to be working. When it was our turn to order he didn’t acknowledge«next in line» or anything just raised eyebrows. We placed our orders(2 slightly customized burgers and one order of fries). About 50% of the tables for dining were open though 100% of them were dirty and not cleaned. We found a table, cleaned it off ourselves and sat down to wait. and wait.and wait. While waiting it appeared for at least 5 minutes that other than the cashier there was only one guy(not 5 ;-) preparing both burgers and fries. When the order# just before our’s was called I saw the guy prepare a large cup of fries and then move over to the burger cooking area. In the next 5 minutes finally two female workers(that had disappeared for awhile) appeared and finally I saw the cup of fries being loaded into a bag and our # was called. When I brought the bag back to our table the 2 burgers were noticeably different in size. When I checked the #‘s on them it turned out the«smaller» one was mine. When I unwrapped and looked at it I saw that they had only put 2 of the toppings on it and had missed the onions, mushrooms, ketchup, mustard, mayonnaise, lettuce, tomato… nearly everything. I immediately took it up to the counter area. Instead of getting customer service I was told that they couldn’t receive back the burger to fix it even though they made it wrong. The only, and I repeat the only, option they provided was to give me the toppings on the side. After a few minutes one of the workers brought me some toppings and I had to point out which ones of THEIR«standard options» were missing. Meanwhile my burger got cold while waiting. Truly miserable eating experience. With so many other local burger dining places to choose from(Mighty Fine, P Terry’s, In-n-Out, Hopdoddy, not to mention Whataburger, and all the national chains, etc.) this one will never get our business again.

I went to that location and ordered a burger and 2 fries at 7:11. At 7:38 they called the order after mine. I went and asked since when they were processing orders out of number. The manager(Brandy) said that my order was already picked up. Which was a lie since I was watching them the whole time. In 27 minutes the 3 of them processed 6 orders and managed to make a minimum of 3 mistakes. After her BS excuse I asked for a refund, she started to make the burger anyway and I insisted for a refund instead. She said she was sorry. I said, the problem is that you guys are having fun and are not working hard enough(which is 100% true, they were being very slow at executing, chit chatting a lot, working on the same burger). Then she flipped, and told me you want to apply for a job here? She said, I bet you suck at your job(and then with a very soft voice said«fat ass». Yes I am obese, and yes she works at a burger joint and insult customers on their appearance. Then she could not process my refund because she did not know how to operate the cash register and just gave me $ 20 out of the cash register and told me to just go. I insisted on getting my $ 19.56 back instead but she just ignored my request. I observed them the whole time I was there(I used to own a similar business so it comes naturally). Very often, they were the three of them making one burger, 27 minutes after i placed my order, there were no fries ready, they skipped my order and nobody noticed, they lied about it and on top of that they kept reopening burgers on the food processing line to fix their mistakes(like removing bacon). That manager is beyond unprofessional, is not good at what she does and does not take feedback well. I did not argue with her because if you argue with a fool they will beat you with their experience. This is how you piss a customer and make sure a customer will never return to a location 5 guys.

Friendly staff. Uncomfortable chairs and super bright lighting. It’s like a hospital in here. Food is good. Wish they had sour kraut and chili though.

Took my family out last night and had a really good experience with five guys. Everyone had a great cheese burger made to order with fries. The food came out quickly and was perfect. If you are in this area of town this is a good choice for a burger.

Errm mah guuurrddd so good! Man that burger was cooked perfect, it had this little layer of crispy char on the outside of the patties and meaty goodness on the inside. The fries were well seasoned and crispy and the cashier/cook was adorable with his perfect eyelashes and cute barbell earring! It was probably one of the best burgers I’ve had and definitely the best burger I’ve ever had at a five guys. Had a great lunch service was fast food was delicious drinks were cold. What more can a fella ask for? Oh yeah and reasonable prices and convenient location.

I think it’s classless to dish on other Unilocalers for their high reviews on a place I don’t like, but let me be classless just this once for honesty’s sake. That being said, if you’re one to give this place anything higher than 3 stars, your reviews for other places have just gone down several stars for me. What they call fries are just strips of potatoes soaked in oil and thrown in a container. What’s that? Oh, I miss the part where they«fry» it in heat? Well, that’s funny, cause I couldn’t tell. I guess«limp» is the new word for crispy. Really, McDs is probably better than this place – this coming from a health conscious auntie who shakes her head whenever her nephews and nieces are taken to McDs. But in all honesty, I would prefer McDs over this. At least the golden arch has enough balls in their own food to not advertise their successes inside their own store with really cheaply made signs. Yes, incase you aren’t in the know, FG is notorious for raving about their own outdated(and perhaps mistaken) success. A business that thrives from the robbery of its customers on hype alone and not the quality delivered is a ‘never again’ place in my book.

You know… before In-N-Out came into town, I would have to say that Five Guys was my go-to place for burgers. I’m a Cali girl and am a hard and true fan of In-N-Out. Five Guys has a great quality burger with their amazing signature Cajun fries. And the serving size is more than enough for sharing. Aside from the good quality burger is the service. They truly strive to make sure their customers are happy and tended to. Definitely not the service that you expect at a fast food joint. 2 thumbs up all the way!!! And it’s nice to know that they are ok with my 2 little ones making a mess eating peanuts. Love this place!

Great staff, delicious burgers, insane drink machine ;) I personally love the cheeseburger stacked with all the toppings, and a side of fries. The fresh jalapeños are spicy and the perfect touch to the burger. I often think I can eat the double patty, but I make it about half way through and realize just how big it really is. One day my friend I will take that burger down.

I wish I could of gave them negative 3 stars, cause this location has went down hill since Paul left. If you would like to hear the pot heads behind the counter talk about smoking dope at concerts as they mess your food up, then this is your place! I’ve worked at this location before and no way in heck would my old manager Paul let that stuff fly. I even sent an email to the corporate office a week ago, still no reply. Its all good, cause they just built an In and Out here, so I will no longer be spending $ 20 for a messed up burger and fries with no Cajun(even though I asked). This location is no bueno! Save your money and either cook it yourself or go to Chedders in the same shopping center as them. Really wish it would of let me post a picture of my burger that I had to eat with a spoon cause it was like soup from all the dressings they put on it. SMH!

I love burgers as much as the next guy .and in Austin there are tons of great burger shops. I had heard a lot about five guys so I decided to give it a try. I stopped in for lunch one day and got a burger with everything and Cajun fry’s. While the beef quality was good I couldn’t help but feel the burger tasted a bit bland. The fries were a total disaster. They were thicker and more mealy than I like and the Cajun seasoning wasn’t very spicy. There was always way too much of the not spicy enough Cajun seasoning. The food here isn’t bad but you would be better served going to PTerrys or one of the many other awesome hamburger joints in town.
