History

Established in 2015.

Forever Styled was created by head stylist and owner, Jen Young, with the purpose to assist both men and women of all ages and body types with their wardrobe challenges. Jen’s clear vision came to fruition after experiencing her own life-changing closet overall that revealed acquiring the stuff of life became all too consuming. As a result, Forever Styled has a passion to help individuals feel confident in their daily dressing routines and to live out a «less is more» philosophy when putting together one’s closet essentials.

Jennifer’s love for fashion was born out of her passion for musical performance, where making a positive first impression is a must. Friends and clients have identified Jennifer as a fashionista for years, admiring her «fuss-free» style that works for the stage, a casual date-night and everything in-between. Her perfect style combination would be a blend of Jane Birkin, Louis Vuitton and Coco Chanel.

Her southern roots began in Georgia and Tennessee, where Jennifer was born and raised. Texas won her heart when she attended Baylor University. She now resides in Austin, where she and her husband Jason enjoy raising their two children, Jackson and Julia.

After years of assisting others with their personal style, Jennifer felt passionate to start her own wardrobe styling company, Forever Styled. She loves to help clients experience the freedom that comes from purging the unnecessary, while re-styling existing clothing, to create their own «fuss-free» wardrobe!

As the owner of a business in the interior design industry, it is especially important that my clients see me as «well-styled» when I arrive at their home for a consultation. Not always an easy task! I needed help in editing my closet – getting rid of things that no longer fit or had gone out of style. Then I needed help to confidently style outfits that would help me look my best every day.
That’s exactly what my afternoon session with Jen Young did for me. I’ve always had a pretty good feel for what looks good/flattering on me, but have lacked imagination in my dressing routine. Jen put together dozens of new looks for me, using what I already had in my closet, complete with accessories and jewelry. It has been a fantastic time-saver for me in my dressing routine, and the boost in my confidence is absolutely priceless.
But just boosting confidence in one’s appearance is only part of the benefit. Anyone who owns a business or is hoping to rise in their career path knows the importance of making the right impression. I had Jen come out to my house and go thru my wife’s closet as a Mother’s Day gift and she loved it. She would never spend the money on herself instead always spending it on the kids. They had over 3 hours together and purged a lot of stuff that didn’t work for my wife. Jen made it a great experience and now my wife has a great excuse to go shopping for new clothes. With Jens help she knows what pieces to buy to fill out her wardrobe and fit her body like they should. Guys if you need a unique gift idea this is it and ladies you will love her.

I confess, I have a problem. I’m a matchy-matchy dresser. I know how to pull together an outfit, but it’s always super expected, not very exciting, and color matchy-matchy to the extreme. I decided to take a little risk and see if my style could be updated without having to get a whole new $ 5,000 What-Not-to-Wear wardrobe.
Enter the most talented Jennifer Young. Jen is a Partner Stylist with Edit by Lauren. She came to my house for a one hour closet consultation. And whoa — this girl is GOOD! In our one brief, fast moving hour, she pulled together 21+ new outfits from the clothes in my closet that I would never have thought to put together, complete with shoes, accessories, and purses. Later in the day, I received a personalized photo collage so I could remember the combinations and the next day I received a shopping list, complete with online links, so I could get the few pieces I need to extend my wardrobe and make the clothes I have go even further!
That was four days ago and I’ve never felt so fabulous! Each day it is so fun to pull out my pictures and get dressed with confidence. And my husband is a huge fan — it didn’t require any new clothes to get 21 new outfits. He said I should have her out quarterly. I can’t wait! And I’ll also be hiring Jen when I need help with a special occasion outfit or a travel wardrobe.
One more thing — Jen is delightful to work with. She was fun and professional, incredibly encouraging — which is important when dealing with something so personal as someone’s clothing — and she even helped me figure out how to wear a boxy, too-big-for-me 1980’s Benetton sweater because she could tell I loved it and didn’t want to part with it.
