Was able to see the Dr. as an emergency patient because of a recommendation from the ER Dr. without an available appointment. Dr. Foster was efficient and still detailed with his explanation of my condition. Answered my questions and directly supervised the nurse and personally molded the cast to provide optimum healing. Maybe the reason the others who experienced longer than usual waits were not ‘emergency’ situations. I apologize if me, ‘bumping the line’ caused anyone’s delay. I guess that might happen in any Dr.‘s office when an emergency situations arise. Highly recommend!

I got referred to Doctor Foster by Dr. Koval, a rheumatologist at Texas Ortho. My first meeting with him felt a bit rushed, but I’m now going into surgery 4 with him since April, and wouldn’t want another surgeon working on my hand! He explains everything to me, gives me options, keeps in touch(if something comes up and I call it in, I get a call back within an hour usually) and many times they have fit me in on last minute notice for that day. I’ve had quite the adventure after a joint replacement that refuses to heal and has required many surgeries, but not once have I felt like Dr. Foster and his team were doing anything but their best. I see him weekly(sometimes more often) and it’s great knowing him and his team are doing whatever they can. Would definitely recommend him for anyone looking for a hand surgeon. One of the best experiences I’ve had with a medical professional/team in my life.

I just got my stitches removed this afternoon and my overall experience was great! Dr. Foster and his nursing staff did an amazing job during my entire procedure. On the day of my surgery the nurses were super friendly and accommodating to my needs. They were transparent during the entire process which made me feel extremely comfortable. The only reason why I didn’t give 5 stars is because the lady(Maxine) was very rude in making the appointment. She followed up with me a few days before surgery and told me my time of surgery was changed, which was respectful of my time. I acknowledged her for calling me and expressed that I would of been upset if I arrived for surgery not knowing the time was changed. She then became very nasty and said, «why would you be upset & that she could call back anytime and change the time at any moment». I’m confident that she could of gotten her point across in a more friendly manner, however she chose the unprofessional road. I politely took the info she gave me and shared my experience later on in a survey. Again, please don’t allow Maxine to hinder you from getting top notch care from one of the best hand doctors in the city! Hope this was helpful.

I scheduled an appt to see DR Foster but I ended up seeing only his PA. I think it would be more fair if they set the right expectation up front. They didn’t give a discount for seeing the PA instead. I’m starting to believe that DR Foster is just a legend and never existed!

I saw Dr. Foster for the first time and I had to wait 50 minutes in the patient room before he came in. He seemed rushed and indifferent. I didn’t feel comfortable with him and I wouldn’t recommend him. You can bet if I would have shown up 50 minutes past my appointment time that he wouldn’t have waited on me!

I never saw doctor foster so he may be great. Although my appointment was with him, the PA came in and the whole appointment. He was friendly, but did not look at any info. I have may very serious conditions and take dangerous meds. He gave me a 2nd shot in a month and I’m wondering f it will be covered. He ave two meds with samples and had NOIDEA that I was allergic to one and the other had serious side effects with another medication. The office was nice, xray immediate, office staff friendly, but I do not appreciate being passed off to a PA without any explanation. Especially one who could have caused me serious problems.

Great doctor. Takes time to explain your condition and give you all possible solutions. Very easy to talk to. Patient and kind.
