History
Established in 1971.
Freewheeling Bicycles was started by Frank Cook in a West Campus garage then moved to San Gabriel and 24th street as the need for pro bikes and knowledgeable mechanics grew. The name connects Freewheelin’ Franklin of the Fabulous Furry Freak Brothers with the freedom and function of a Freewheel.
