Cathy Lara & Associates, German Translation Services was started when Cathy Lara lived in Berlin.

Meet the Business Owner

Cathy L.

Business Owner

Cathy can look back on many years of experience as a German-​English translator in a wide range of fields, including business, law, publishing and advertising. She spent over a decade in Berlin, Germany, where she worked as a translator and editor for the English-​language editions of various publications. Cathy holds an M.A. in German from the University of California, Berkeley, and is a member of the American Translators Association.

Cathy kann auf eine langjährige Erfahrung im Bereich der Deutsch-​Englisch-​Übersetzung in den unterschiedlichsten Fachgebieten, u.a. der Wirtschaft, des Rechts, des Verlagswesens sowie der Werbung, zurückblicken. Sie verbrachte über zehn Jahre in Berlin, Deutschland, wo sie als Übersetzerin und Lektorin für die englischsprachige Ausgabe verschiedener Printmedien tätig war. Sie hat an der Universität von Kalifornien in Berkeley einen M.A. in Deutsch erworben und ist Mitglieder der American Translators Association (ATA).
