It did not take long for Dr. Ueckert to discover the difference that exceptional dentistry can make in people’s lives. In his first year of dental school, Dr. Ueckert assisted and learned from one of the preeminent aesthetic dentists in the world, Dr. Nassar Barghi. Dr. Ueckert’s goal is to give his patients confidence in having beautiful smiles that last a lifetime.

Dr. Ueckert attended the University of Texas Dental School in San Antonio. He is a pursuant candidate for accreditation and a member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, as well as a member of the Texas Dental Association. To stay at the forefront of a professional that changes as much as dentistry does requires persistent learning. To do this, Dr. Ueckert exceeds more than double the ADA requirement for continuing education every year. It is his commitment to advanced education that assures his patients receive the highest quality materials and latest technology.

FIVE STARS… is not enough to express how I feel about the services received by Dr. Ueckert and staff. I have been a patient of Dr. Ueckert since 2003. His professional and personalized bedside manner, his expertise in his craft, and the overall experience from every member of his team make this the ONLY dental office I will visit.
I have sensitive teeth and a general fear of the dentist as a result of some horrible experiences from other practices before coming here. ALL of those fears are gone as a result of the superior treatment received over the several years of being a patient at this clinic.
I travel extensively for work and have lived as far away as Los Angeles, CA. This is the ONLY dentist for me in the USA and I recommend Dr. Ueckert and staff to anyone in the Austin, TX area. !!

As part of my orthodontic treatment, a few teeth needed bonding to fill in a few small gaps, so I was sent to Dr. Ueckert. I thought Dr. Ueckert did a great job and I’m happy with the results.
I will agree with a previous reviewer and say that the staff could be a bit better. After removing those really uncomfortable stretchy things in my mouth to take pictures, the lady went to upload the photos to the computer. Before checking to make sure they uploaded correctly, she deleted the photos from the camera. We all know where this is heading… yep — photos didn’t upload correctly so once again, they had to shove those cheek stretches in my mouth to re-​take the photos.
This time the photos uploaded, thank god! The woman put them up on the screen and told me Dr. Ueckert would see me in a moment. While waiting, I turned around to check out the photos of my teeth. Hmmm. That’s weird. I know I’m in the midst of ortho and my teeth are changing, but I didn’t realize my teeth looked like that? I got out of the chair for a closer look… oh wait, it’s because THOSE AREN’T MY TEETH. Oopsies.
Dr. Ueckert came over and began looking at my teeth pictures — I stopped him and said… yeah, those aren’t mine. Thank god I noticed or that day I might have ended up with an unexpected root canal!
With that said — I am really happy with how my teeth turned out (see photos) and it wasn’t all the staff members I had concerns with — just the one. In fact, the secretary was extremely kind and I had a great interaction with her. She’s super cute, personable and helpful.
Additionally, I wasn’t expecting my insurance to cover any of the treatment, but they submitted the claim just in case. It turns out, my insurance actually covered a decent portion, so I’m happy they took the time to submit it.

Dr. Ueckert is very pleasant and extremely competent as a dentist. All of my interactions with him and the dental work he has performed have been excellent.

His office staff is a wreck. I constantly have trouble setting up appointments, getting estimates, and finding someone to field questions. Most recently, I called to make an appointment for a cleaning and, after some hem-​ing and haw-​ing, was told that they would have to call me back to schedule something, which they did, a full 24 hours later. I’m not sure how they can do business if they can’t even schedule an appointment for a basic cleaning in one phone call.
In the mean time I got an appointment with a different dentist with no trouble at all. When the new dentist’s office called to ask Dr. Ueckert’s office to please send over my most recent x-​rays they sent someone else’s x-​rays with my name on them. The hygienist called Dr. Ueckert’s office back to request the correct x-​rays and were asked how the hygienist knew that the x-​rays weren’t mine. The x-​rays that were sent showed a person with MANY MANY crowns, of which I have none… NONE. Now, I’m not a dentist but even I can figure out that one.
That last part made me feel pretty confident about my decision to find a new dentist.

Just wanted to reiterate what a great dentist and team Dr Ueckert is/​has. I actually love and look forward to going to the dentist. He’s thorough, professional, has a great team, doesn’t over diagnose or try to over treat. I have friends that come to him that also swear by him (and I wish they were Unilocalers!). Already have my next appointment scheduled and looking forward to it. You shouldn’t have to hate or fear going to the dentist. If that’s the case, you need to give Dr Ueckert and his team a try. I promise you will love it here!

In 2010, I was hit by a car, and snapped my two front teeth in half. My mouth was a mess. A friend referred me to Dr. Ueckert, and he flt me in for a very early appointment that morning. They did what they could to mitigate the pain, and within two days I had resin crowns to hold me over until the ceramic ones could be made.
All through the long, grueling process, I was amazed by Dr. Ueckert and his staff. They were flexible, helpful, and caring. They did a good job of explaining things to me, and making me feel that I had a say in my own treatment and care.
Since then, I’ve gone to Dr. Ueckert and Dr. Bradley for everything — even when my insurance wouldn’t cover treatment there. It’s because they offer high-​quality work, a great team of staff members, and they care about making sure I feel good about my treatment. I’ve never felt pressured to undergo an expensive procedure; I’ve had my options explained, had certain treatments recommended, but always felt I had the ultimate say in my care. That’s a kind of respect I’ve lacked from other dentists and medical professionals, and is what keeps me coming back.

I came in here and asked when the doctor would be ready to play some catch. The nurse looked at me funny and I was like, «Look, I know the Ueck is retired but he’s still Mr. Baseball in my book and the Brewers aren’t playing tonight so I know he’s got some time to chuck the pill.»
She hurriedly pressed an oddly large red button on her desk. I think it was the one that unleashes a dozen five-​star reviews on Unilocal in an hour from a dozen brand spankin’ new reviewers. I stepped back in both shock and awe.
She was all like, «You still want to play ball, kiddo?»
And I was like, «Uh, well, uh, maybe not… just please don’t press that button again! I hate typing in A97df5R6gY7 just to see what got filtered.»
She smiled knowingly and I backed out of the office with my catcher’s mitt raised in potential self-​defense.
But, come to think of it, it was the greatest doctor’s visit I’ve ever had and I give Bob Uecker five stars, even if he won’t come out to play ball with the Little People.

I visited Dr. Ueckert over 10 years back and was told that I needed 2 root canals on my upper molars on each side. I was shocked, having never had cavities before, but didnt think I had a choice. I had the root canal and a crown put on my right molar. After speaking to several friends, I decided to wait on the second tooth. Its been 10 years and I’ve had no issues with that tooth. I dont recommend this dentist to anybody. He either over-​reacted or misrepresented the condition of my first tooth and maybe if I had gotten a second opinion would never have had that root canal in the first place.

After deciding to change dentists and leave Dr. Ueckert (he was always late, had a poor/​superior attitude and damaged daughter’s mouth) I found a fabulous new dentist (another review). After visiting, was told that the crown that Dr. Ueckert had recently put in was poorly placed and needed to be replaced. $ 1800 mistake. Do not go to this guy!
